Osama bin Laden’s family, which has disowned its most famous son, runs one of the five companies that have just been awarded contracts to operate Saudi airports.
Osama, of course, has already displayed a taste for air operations. And as this news report notes laconically, “Western intelligence agencies said Al Qaida has been planning to strike Western aircraft that seek to land or take off from Saudi airports.”
Let’s hope that no one — no one — in the family really has any contact with Osama or Al-Qaeda, or this could turn into a magnificent example of the fox guarding the henhouse.
