Julia Duin gives us a useful piece on Ramadan and violence in today's Washington Times.
In it, Jihad Watch director Robert Spencer explains: "Radicals see jihad not principally as an act of violence or an assertion of power ... but as a spiritual act, a holy cleansing of the world's impurities. In this view, if there is ever a time to fight Satan in all his various manifestations on Earth -- including Americans and Israelis -- it is Ramadan."
I think they focus on terrorism because they know that their theology cannot compete in the area of 'ideas', or in other words, they cannot compete in spiritual warfare against other religions and philosophies, because their theology is a lie.And in the world of ideas, Islam dwells in total defeat, and they know it, so they must inflict physical damage(or intimidation) in order to win in the realm of ideas and philosophies.
Islam can only prosper if the threat of physical force is applied to the populace.
As far as spiritual warfare we have already won, long ago.
Islamists know it, therefore they try to inflict physical damage, because they know they cannot win with their spiritual philosophy.
What cowards they are.
They fight against the truth and against love and in this fight they can never win, truth and love exist regardless of the physical, they could kill everyone in the whole world, and truth and love would still exist.
They will always live in defeat until they find truth and love, and honor these ideals.
Islamists honor lies and hate, and no matter how many people they kill or intimidate, they cannot turn hate into love, or lies into truth.
They fight a battle they can never win.
I wish they would take their jihad into the realm of the spiritual, into the realm of ideas and compete with others there, but they wont do this, as they know they will lose.So they choose to kill and intimidate and enslave to make their philosophy triumphant.
Cowards and Liars, thats what they are.
