Saddam in custody

As news came out of Muhammad Atta's having been trained in Iraq, Saddam has been captured. "Without a single shot being fired, U.S. military forces captured former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein as he hid in the bottom of a hole in a home near Tikrit, officials announced at a Baghdad press conference." The story is from Fox.

"Saddam in Custody" -- and guess what? I heard it first on JihadWatch!

So Saddam is captured and how do many Arab "on the street" interviewees respond? By saying they are sad and that Saddam was "a warrior for Islam" or some such nonsense. If a secular, seemingly muslim-hating Saddam can now be transformed into some sort of muslim hero, that tells me everything I need to know about the sickness that is insular, paranoid, islamic countries.

I hope and pray that one day we Iranians will be as fortunate to have the Mullahs and their supporters in our custody.

I suppose I should clarify my comment above. Although Saddam wrapped himself in Islam when it suited him, he sure was awfully carnal for a pious Sunni Muslim.
