According to a report in the Arabic newspaper al-Hayat, Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida terrorist network bought tactical nuclear weapons from Ukraine in 1998.The report says the terrorists still have the "suitcase nuke" weapons and are storing them in safe places for possible use.
The newspaper said al-Qaida bought the weapons in suitcases in a deal arranged when Ukrainian scientists visited the Afghan city of Kandahar in 1998. The city was then a stronghold of the Taliban movement, which was allied with al-Qaida.
WorldNetDaily first broke the story of al-Qaida's purchase of suitcase nukes Oct. 3, 2002. Paul Williams, an FBI consultant on international terrorism said then bin Laden's al-Qaida terrorist network purchased 20 suitcase nuclear weapons from former KGB agents in 1998 for $30 million.
His book, "Al Qaeda: Brotherhood of Terror," also says this deal was one of at least three in the last decade in which al-Qaida purchased small nuclear weapons or weapons-grade nuclear uranium.
This is EXACTLY why we need to tell Saudi Arabia and Syria that THEY will face destruction if we ever get attacked like this.
This information is all very conflicting (I know intelligence gathering is not an exact science). Some terror experts worry about Al-Qaida getting nuclear weapons and some say they already have them.
I don't doubt that Al-Qaida (and other groups) want these weapons badly, but if they have them why haven't they used them in Afghanistan, or Iraq, or even Britain or Israel? (I'm going on the assumption that nuclear weapons would be difficult to smuggle to the U.S. due to increased security).
They are on the defensive at this point, with more than 2/3 of the leadership caught or dead. I just wonder if this isn't terror propaganda some Islamic groups put out on purpose to keep the U.S. in fear.
if you actually believe a report coming out of al hayat of a hear say story that bin laden has nukes then you are a blinded individual.
and even if nukes where used agaisnt us by a terriost group how is collective punishment of entire populace for the acts of few.

We can't really dismiss the fact that Al-Qaida might (have nukes). This is what makes it all so scary.
I think you like baiting on this site, but I have a question: The allies bombed Germany repeatedly during WWII. Was this, in your opinion, collective punishment for the acts of Wermacht and Gestapo?
If indeed it's true that Al Qaida has nuclear weapons, this is all the more reason that our immigration needs a very serious review.

arent the US has nukes? how bout Great Britain? it is possible that the US could use its nuke to blow up other countries. other countries might get paranoid, and maybe there would be preemtive strike on the US too. ....and justice for all.
