"The feds suspect a Yemeni diplomat drummed up cash for terror groups during a visit to Brooklyn mosques in 1999, an FBI agent testified yesterday." This from the New York Post.
The allegations against Sheik Abdullah Satar came to light at the trial of Numan Maflahi, who the feds say acted as the diplomat's personal assistant in New York. Maflahi is accused of lying to the FBI.Authorities watched Satar round-the-clock from the time he landed at JFK Airport Dec. 28, 1999, monitoring his whirlwind tour of mosques.
Satar later flew to Italy, where he gave a speech calling for jihad and met with an al Qaeda operative who has since been convicted of aiding terrorists, FBI agent Brian Murphy testified.
The diplomat was back on the feds' radar last year during an investigation into another Yemeni cleric, Sheik Mohammed Al Hasan Al-Moayad, who is awaiting trial on charges he supplied al Qaeda and Hamas with $20 million collected in Brooklyn.
An FBI informant learned that a sympathizer who was afraid to send money to Al-Moayad after Sept. 11, 2001, was secretly taped saying it would be safer to channel contributions through Satar, whose diplomatic passport reduced the risk of his bags being searched, Murphy testified.
Grilled by the feds on March 4, 2003, Maflahi, 30, denied helping Satar with his fund-raising activities.
Perhaps Alcatraz needs to be reopened for all Islamic terrorists and their supporters that are convicted of crimes against our nation.
For them to be put to death would be my fist choice, but if we have to jail them, they need to be isolated from the rest of the prison population so that they are unable to spread their radical views on some of the not-so smart inmates that they'd like to convert.
Conversion is their main tool. They are only 1 to 2% of our population. Immigration isn't going to get everyone over here. And they can only make so many potential future terrorists through the birthing process.
They need to be isloated so all they have to talk to is each other, or the walls that surround them.

The harsh reality is that all Muslims must be considered terrorists or supporters of terrorists. Where will the police come from to keep them all under surveilance? Where is the prison space?
What the US needs is a comeback of the "Enterprise" during the Reagan years. It's job would be to track these muslims and scare them with their life. The Enterprise would act as it's own entity and make the radicals fear that a group as violent as there own terrorists is fighting them. Just an idea, that I kinda like.
Well, with regard to prison space, I guess we could take the money they've recovered from Saddam to build a facility.....we could build it to look like a giant cave, so they'd think they were in familiar surroundings.
No matter what though, they would certainly need to be isolated from the rest of the population. One thing's for sure....I agree with a writer from another post, who stated that our immigration policies definately need to be changed.
But millions of them are American citizens. And what about converts?
That's a good question, that I don't have an answer for. My only guess is that we can disrupt their immigration to the U.S.
Remember that many Imans/Mullahs troll the prisons for new converts......especially among the US minority population who in many cases is in the majority in prison.
Why should these hate speech filled bigoted Imans/Mullahs have access to the prisoners?

Here in the South we will use the land against them. There is quicksand to entrap them, and, oh…several million hungry gators waiting for meal. Truss 'em up Load 'em up from up from "Up North." (even Richmond is Up North to me!) and ship on down. We'll be glad for it. Our gators haven't had a good meal in a long, long time. Ideology means nothing to them. In order to win this war,we must take the first step,which is ....aknowledge it is a war.
Step two is...point out who exactly the ennemy is,namely ISLAM.
Develop the right strategy to defeat islam,abroad and within,starting with completely revising the immigration laws.

Right on Adela! But the stated goal of our government is not to be at war with Islam (a religion of peace). The terrorists have won because we are seriously considering the complete abrogation of our national ethos so that we can feel secure. America is a state of mind. I never thought I (we) would ever be willing to put aside the Bill of Rights for security.
