Algerian defendant praised Holocaust

A radical Muslim on trial in Germany has declared his affection for Nazi genocide. From Expatica, with thanks to Filtrat:

An Algerian alleged to have been the weapons supplier to a Jordan-based terrorist group told German police he approved of the Holocaust, according to testimony during maximum- security proceedings before a court in Germany Tuesday.

Three men are accused at the trial in Dusseldorf of forming a German cell of al-Tawhid, a group seen as comparable to al-Qaeda, and allied with it. The Algerian, who is charged with assisting them, has contended that his sole motivation was to earn money.

But a federal police interrogator said the man had declared his sympathy for the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, and had said it was good that the Nazi had murdered Jews.

Djamel M., 31, has testified he had provided the group with 15 stolen, blank, French identity cards in January 2001 and forged identities into them. He also accepted orders for hand grenades, butg claimed he was unaware that his customers planned terrorist attacks.

The policeman said the defendant already had convictions for theft, receiving stolen goods and breaching immigration laws.

On Monday, police had told the court how one of the main Palestinian defendants raged against the United States and Israel during interrogation.

The alleged cell comprised Mohammed Abu-D. and Ismail Abdallah Shaitan S., both Jordanian nationals, and Ashraf Mohammed al-D., who is stateless. Their full surnames have been withheld under German journalistic ethics guidelines.

Prosecutors say the cell plotted variously to bomb a Dusseldorf nightclub, a bar in that city frequented by Jews or a Jewish community centre in Berlin. None of the attacks was ever carried out, as the group was arrested in 2002 before its hand grenades arrived.

The key witness, another Palestinian, was sentenced in November to four years in jail for supporting the group.

The three main defendants face a maximum penalty of 10 years in jail, while the Algerian provider of fake IDs faces five.

Let's hope his admiration for Hitler will extend to ending his life the same way Hitler did his.

Did anyone catch those photos of Hamas goosestepping and heiling past a review stand with Yasser Arafat returning the Heil salute?

We shouldn't be surprised about the Islamo-Nazi connection as the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood took the precepts of Hitler for the destruction of Jews as part of its creed.

HAl, love it! Think you hit the rag on the head with that one!
I cannot imagine what Arafat did in a past life to have such mange of the spirit, but his next cycle is SURE to be a dung beetle or carrion dog I'd bet!

Thanks again for the chuckle.

Arafat DOES have a nazi history. Hitler was a friend of his uncles or something to that effect.

The Nuremberg and Eichmann trials revealed that Nazi official Adolf Eichmann met with the British-appointed Mufti in Palestine in 1937.
Amin al-Husseini, became essentially an agent of Nazi Germany charged with the funding and organizing of pro-Nazi organizations in Egypt, Syria, Palestine and Iraq.
In 1941, along with Rashid Ali and Kharaillah Tulfah, Saddam Hussein's uncle, guardian and later father-in-law, the Mufti instigated a pro-Nazi coup in Iraq with Nazi-supplied weapons and aircraft. After the coup failed, the Mufti fled to Berlin where he would hold his first of several meetings with Adolf Hitler. At this meeting, the Mufti was reported to have dissuaded Hitler from considering the deportation of the Jews to Palestine. Instead, the Mufti advocated and even possibly suggested what came to be known as the Final Solution against the Jews. In 1942, the Mufti would intervene and stop the Nazis from exchanging 10,000 Jewish children for Nazi POW's.

The Mufti's activities in Nazi Germany and occupied Europe would set the stage for today's Islamic terrorism. On April 25th, 1941, the Nazis sent the Mufti to Nazi-occupied Bosnia, where he assumed the title "Protector of Islam." On February 10, 1943, Hitler ordered the creation of the Nazi SS Division Hanzar and approximately 100,000 Bosnian Muslims volunteered. The Mufti, serving as chief administrator, referred to these Nazi-Muslim brigades as "the cream of Islam."

The Hanzars, deriving their name from the type of dagger carried by Ottoman officers, played an active role in the extermination of Christians and Jews in the Balkans. The Mufti attempted to implement the Nazi "Pejani Plan" which called for the extermination of the Christian Serbs and which the Nazis eventually abandoned. All in all, the Bosnian Muslim Hanzars assisted in the extermination of approximately 200,000 Christian Serbs, 40,000 Gypsies and 22,000 Jews.

In 1943, Hitler appointed the Mufti as head of a Nazi-Muslim government in exile. From his headquarters in Berlin, a confiscated Jewish mansion, the Mufti laid out plans for a concentration camp for Jews near Nablus in Palestine modeled after Auschwitz. Photos exist of the Mufti touring Auschwitz with Heinrich Himmler. Nazi attitudes regarding Islam were perhaps best expressed by Himmler, who is reported to have stated "I have nothing against Islam because it educates the men in this division for me and promises them heaven if they fight and are killed in action. A very practical and attractive religion for soldiers."

Deriving financial support from a fund of confiscated Jewish money known as the Sonderfund, the Mufti was installed as head of the Nazi-created Islamic Institute (Islamische Zentralinstitut) in Dresden, where he would begin the process of educating future Islamic leaders in Nazi ideology.

The grand mufti was not just Arafat's "hero," as he says. Arafat was, in fact, so close to al-Husseini that the young terrorist called him "uncle." Arafat's real name is Rahman Abdul Rauf el-Qudwa al-Husseini, though his actual blood relationship with al-Husseini is in question. His entire career was sponsored by the dreaded Nazi mufti. He was, indeed, Arafat's mentor, his inspiration for 40 years of terror, murder, hatred and international duplicity.
The mufti secretly imported a former Nazi commando officer into Egypt to teach Mr. Arafat and other teenage recruits the fine points of guerrilla warfare. Mr. Arafat learned his lessons well; the mufti was so proud of him.

People are too forgetfull. Arafats nazi connection is well doccumented.
