Trains, buses, pubs and nightclubs are all potential targets.Sir John said the police and the security services had dramatically increased their efforts and were "working three times harder than ever" to foil any plot aimed at London or other cities.
His acknowledgement that Britain was in the front line coincided with a YouGov opinion poll showing that three quarters of Britons felt "more vulnerable" to terrorist attack after the Madrid bombings that killed 201 people.
The poll suggested that a similar bomb attack in Britain during a general election could cost Labour support.
All nations know who the element is. All nations know which religion/cult is behind this. All nations know that the moderates of that religion/cult have not stood up, denounced terrorism and murder, and stated whose side they're on.

It took Spain 400 years to throw the moors out the last time; we don't have that much time this go around. So, 20 million Spainierds should drive the 500,000 muckmuds to the tip of Spain at Gebralter and drive them into the sea, just as they did the moors. There is no such thing as an attack is impossible to avoid.
If they say that ,it almost sounds like they have given up trying to protect themselves.
Ofcourse the attack in Spain could have been prevented,they knew about all these terrorists since 2001 and didn`t do anything to stop them.
If they deported them,they could have prevented the attack.
Same goes for our intel.services who failed to stop the 9/11 terrorists eventhough there were clear signs of what they were here for.
The british intel.service should round the suspects up and deport them immediately and also warn the muslim community of severe consequences if there will be an attack.

The warnings need to cease, and the consequenses need to begin. Guess it'll take one more attack on us, so we can lead the parade, we usually do.
It would not be surprising to see attacks in France and the USA - both with upcoming elections. The attack in Madrid has clearly shown that an attack can change the outcome of an election.
The only pluralism these muslims believe in is in the name of the country - being muslim comes first - and with it the belief that the entire world must be muslim.
This is what the West and Modern Civilization should be fighting - too many Western countries are in denial - and thus, will be Islamic in 20 years if not sooner!is fighting.
These horrid people use the Western concept of "Life" being important against us. For them, life means nothing - think about that young boy who recently would have been a homicide bomber if not for the Israeli police.

Thanks Nathan and DC for your comments, I'd consider myself a "True Brit" and actually, theres a lot of us left, sure there are "Joeys" and they shout a lot, but I live here and know the "true brit" sentiment is alive and well, Weve lived with terrorism for 30 yrs dont forget, citys near me were bombed by the Irish, and bombs were found in my city, and through it I never saw your average person on the street give in to it one jot. It only served to raise the 'British resolve' that seems to be in our psyche.
I can only imagine that any bombs from other sources, would do the same, but on a greater level.

I just think that the Muslims have been away from their homeland in the sand for far too long, and caused plenty of trouble along the way. I hope you are wrong about England's fortitude when standing against an agressor. I have always admired them for standing up against Hitler in the war, even if they had to do it "Alone." The difference between Britain and France & Germany is they have a national memory of standing up to a bully and winning. The others appeased it and ended up getting a good beating. I think, had they stood up to Hitler in Germany and France, during that war, we would not be seeing them lay down as willing sacrifices today.

We judge people by their behavior Joey. If a Muslim takes up arms against his state, regardless of his nationality or how long he has been there, then he is an enemy. I don't know what planet you live on but this is not a right handed down by many countries in the world. I will give you two quick examples.
Saudi Arabia says anyone can move to their country except Jews. Jews are forbidden to take up residence within Saudi Arabia. In fact that is the case for many Asia Minor countries. Jews are forbidden. Christians are Tolerated in some and band from others. If you are a Christian and choose to live in these countries your are going to pay a heavy tax for being Christian.
On the other side of the coin. You have Israel who says you have to be Jewish to take up residence in Israel. You can visit but you can’t stay. Not even if you’re Christian.
If you try to tell me that westernized countries do not have a right to determine who lives within their borders then I say that’s bullsh#t.
Western countries should not be held to any higher standard then other countries when it comes to determining threat and safety.
Send home any that would destroy the idea of America. Immigrants citizens took an oath. If they lied or turned their back on their oath, they should be returned to their home countries. Perhaps they should receive the penalty for treason - death. Non-citizens should also be booted out if they are involved in destructive activities. Native born traitors should be prosecuted and punished to the full extent of the law. Death is too good for them.
This would apply to anyone, not just to Muslims. Think twice before you betray this country in the name of your religion, your political ideology, or for, money, fame, or because you can.
Speaking as a Brit I beleive we in the West have become lazy in our approach to defending democracy. 50 Years ago we fought a war against fascism and evil dictatorship, we stayed strong in the face of Communist totalitarianism, now it is time to wage war against another type of evil - religious fundamentalism. This time the enemy is very much within as well as without. The bottom line in the west is that we have to be tolerant of most things, except intolerance. The one mistake in Britain right now, is that we are allowing Islamic fundamentalists to stay in this country and preach their message of hate, and plan acts of carnage against our own people!! Its not just the muslim moderates that need to be out on the streets protesting against the savagery of some of their fellow muslims, but also the liberals, and left wing activists, and all those that believe in a free democratic, pluralist state. If a rally of racists was held in London tomorrow, their would be an uproar of protest from my fellow liberals etc. But when some one like Abu Hamza stands up in Finbury Park Mosque and delivers and ant-Western tirade, encouraging his followers to butcher unbeleivers, and issuing threats, where are the protests? We cannot be worried about fighting this form of intolerance just beause the bigots happens to have a different religion or skin colour from the main stream. At the end of the day these people need to be uprooted and deported. If they cannot be deported they need to be interned!!! And Paula, you are right, if and when Islamic terrorists strike Britain (several attempts have already been thwarted since 9/11), it will have the opposite effect they seek, this country is always bickering internally, but when an enemy presents itself we have a habit of pulling together, and going at them till the job is done! The harder they hit the harder we fight, and the same goes for when our friends are attacked.
