The world is overestimating the dangers of global terrorism, especially when compared with a possible greater threat posed by environmental risks, former UN chief weapons inspector Hans Blix said yesterday."I think we still overestimate the danger of terror," Blix told BBC television.
"There are other things that are of equal, if not greater, magnitude, like the environmental global risks," he said without being more specific.
That should endeer him to the Israeli and America people. At least the Euros, who only sell "I hate America" books in their bookstores will say "yeah, I told you so."
Blix is typical of the European chattering class. He is more worried about rising sea levels than the mosque preaching the destruction of western civilization.
Please place Dr. Blix on a bus in Israel and see if he loses his water.

The threat to the environment has been vastly overstated for the past 30 years. From the global cooling scares of the late '70's to the global warming scares of today, it's all about tyranny in search of subjects. Funny how environmentalism means that the West has to suffer under draconian laws that restrict all of our freedoms while third -world nations can rape and plunder all they want (hello Kyoto). Whatever happened to voluntary cooperation? Whatever happened to freaking legitimate science, for goodness sakes? Get yourself some REAL evidence (and I don't mean computer models) to back up the "sky is falling" environmental doomsday myths, please. I'm not worried by a .1 potential increase in temperature over the next 100 years. I am concerned about the decay of my society and some insane Islamofascist murdering my countrymen.

Blix is right. One dirty bomb from a jihadi will ruin the air, water, and quality of life for hundreds of thousands. It will result in cancers, skin, and maybe pulmonary diseases. Thus, the true threat isn't terrorism, it's the aftermath of one terroristic act. Now let's go to Pakistan, Saudia Arabia, and Yemen and demonstrate against the environmental affects of terrorism. All the jihadis need is a little environmental education to get them to change their minds.
Blix keeps getting more and more outrageous in his comments, he just can't stand being out of the spotlight, that's all.

The global warming stuff may be "junk science" but the vast amounts of money the Saudis spend on Islamic terrorism and dawah is NOT junk science. They've so far spent an estimated $90 billion dollars on spreading Wahabbism throughout the world, paid for by ours truly.
