Madrid bombing suspects under arrest: they have many colleagues still at large
Australia's Al-Hilali, saving his own skin, is trying to wave them away from Australia, but the radical Muslim group responsible for the Madrid bombings is acting like a kid at Christmas (or Eid al-Fitr), happily enumerating places it will blow up next in order to continue advancing its agenda against the terrified, supine dhimmis of the West. The Islamic militant group that claimed responsibility for last week's Madrid train bombings has warned that its next targets could be the United States, Japan, Italy, Britain or Australia, an Arabic newspaper reported Thursday.The London-based Al-Quds al-Arabi said on its Web site that it had received a statement from "The Brigade of Abu Hafs al-Masri (al-Qaida)" in which the group reiterated its responsibility for the March 11 attacks that killed more than 200 people and wounded more than 1,600.
"Our brigades are getting ready now for the coming strike," said the statement dated March 15. "Whose turn will it be next? Is it Japan, America, Italy, Britain, Saudi Arabia or Australia?"
The United States believes the Abu Hafs group lacks credibility and has only tenuous ties to al-Qaida. In the past, the group has claimed responsibility for events to which they were not connected - such as last summer's blackouts in North America and Britain.
The editor of Al-Quds al-Arabi, Abdel Bari Atwan, told The Associated Press the paper received the statement via e-mail Wednesday night. The paper has received other e-mails from this group. On the evening of the Madrid bombings, the paper released an e-mail from Abu Hafs al-Masri in which they made the first claim of responsibility.
"This statement is authentic," Atwan said, adding the group had previously claimed responsibility for last year's suicide attacks in Istanbul, Turkey, and on the U.N. headquarters in Iraq.
The same statement appeared on an Islamic Web site that has posted purported al-Qaida declarations in the past. The site carries a note disclaiming responsibility for the contents of statements.
Spanish authorities suspect an al-Qaida-linked cell carried out the bombings. Moroccan authorities have said the emerging evidence in the Madrid attacks points toward Ansar al-Islam, a guerrilla group blamed for terrorist strikes in Iraq, Jordan, Turkey and Morocco. Other groups believed to be involved in the bombings are Salafia Jihadia and Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group.
In its statement, Abu Hafs al-Masri said it was calling a truce in Spain to give the socialist government that was elected Sunday, three days after the train attacks, time to carry out its pledge to withdraw troops from Iraq.
The group appeared to boast it had the power to change governments.
"We change and destroy countries," the statement said. "We even influence the international economy, and this is God's blessing to us."

The statement tells American voters that Abu Hafs al-Masri supports the re-election campaign of President Bush: "We are very keen that Bush does not lose the upcoming elections."The statement said Abu Hafs al-Masri needs what it called Bush's "idiocy and religious fanaticism" because they would "wake up" the Islamic world.
Parts of the statement were released Wednesday night by the editor of another London-based Arabic newspaper, Al Hayat. The editor read parts of the statement to The Associated Press in Cairo.
Its a shame that Al-Hilali has not made any comments on the deaths of 200 innocent men women and children in Spain. So why should we believe him when he says his muslim pals will not target Australia? Is Al-Hilali in charge of al-quaeda or something?
I hope the Australian Government see the truth for what Al-Hilali represents and kick him out of Australia.

I believe that stupid statements made with such hubris by some shadowy Islamic group like Abu Hafs al-Masri will serve to "wake up" the West as well as the whole world and solidify responses. Let them keep on talking and targeting innocents. The wrath of the whole world will come down on radical Islam sooner rather than later.
Actually, I think Vlad's idea is a good one—within reason and legality.
First—all illegals must go!
Second—expel or jail anyone who incites terror, such as the Islamic clerics.
Third—all mosques must be watched. That means all Muslims must be profiled. It is unfortunate that policy is seen as "racist." Profiling is a valid response to a so-called religion that has world domination via violence in its tenets and is carrying these out via terror world-wide. All Muslims must be made to sign loyalty oaths rejecting the violent tenets in the Qur'an. Don't want to sign? OUT—go back to an Islamic state!
Fourth—Cut off their funding and ability to hide terror monies in the world financial system—PERIOD! That means the Saudis in particular.
Fifth—No more travel or exchanges to the West with Muslims unless these are willing to sign a statement rejecting the violent, misanthropic tenets in the Qur'an. These oaths would include a statement that they are not practicing taqiyya. All Muslims must be in a massive data bank that includes background checks, photos, finger printing and iris scanning.
Sixth—No more Western AID to countries or peoples that support Islamic terror, such as Egypt or the Palestinians. Let Muslims develop their own economies and educational systems or stay in the 7th century or return to the stone age with their violence. Their choice.
Seventh—Any islamic country, such as Iran, that seeks to develop WMDs must be put on notice. Do it and you will be isolated and or attacked not by the U.S. but by a real coalition of world forces. Any Muslim terrorist who is caught should be made and example of. Prison for life with no visitors, no possibility of parole, no Islamic religious materials. They must go through an "educational" program on the tenets of civilization including world religions and the history of Islam.
Eighth—A world coalition against Islamic terror is imperative! "Bombard" the Islamic world with educational and media materials to get up their level of awareness of the 21st century. Let them throw off the yoke of Islam themselves. No one can change Islam but Muslims!

Joey - I would advocate the jailing of any group that is traitorous to this country, even if they have been in this country for generations. Yes, immigrants that do not live up to their oath of allegiance, you know, the one that is made upon citizenship, should be stripped of their citizenship and returned to their country of origin. Non-citizens should be immediately deported.
I am disillusioned with the modern immigrant. Peope used to come here for the benefits of the American way and were thankful for the gifts of America. Now, they have destructive motives. They are not willing to cooperate in the maintenance of the American way of life. I have said this before, if you don't like they we live, go back from where you came. If your religion, ideology, avocation, or whatever, is not compatible with this country's vision, please feel free to leave, and don't slam the door on the way out.
We are at war. It seems that only one group is attempting to undermine and destroy us. If another comes to light, I focus on them. I don't descriminate among traitors.

I'm afraid that is the only solution. If we persist in the illusion that all cultures are assimmable in the multi-cultural pot, then we consign our civilisation to a slow and gory end. As Muslim populations grow, there will inevitably be riots, bombings and eventually civil wars. Millions are going to die, and eventually, if we win, we will have to send the Islamists back anyway.
Instead of expulsion though, I would propose an exchange of populations. Muslims in the West for the terribly persecuted Christians in Islamic nations. Thus no ethnic cleansing and no moral quagmire.

You are 100% right. Let's remember first that these people have a theologically-driven goal of global conquest, with the destruction of everything "not Islamic."
One of the several methods of conquest the enemy has chosen to use is the insertion of a "fifth column" of their fellows into our midst. As more of them enter the country, legally or not, they will try to influence politics through voting and ultimately, office-holding. They have a very high birth rate, and they make every effort to instill their agendas and attitudes in their young.
Conversion is another method they use in this country; their hostile belief system, which continuously spouts "revenge, anger, humiliation," etc. and which never accepts individual responsibility for their own state of affairs, appeals strongly to the malcontents of like mind in the prisons, gangs, etc.
