I disagree with Israel's policy of using missiles and bombs to assassinate terrorists leaders. I believe even with vermin like the Israel-eradicating Palestinians, rules of law and war must prevail. Sharon is pushing things too far. Killing innocents by collateral damage is barely acceptable even in a full scale war. Israel will never be able to satisfy 90% of her critics but it shouldn't alienate those that might. Don't get me wrong, killing that Sheik was a positive thing, but what about the six others who died alongside him?

Sorry Jakester, but I believe Israel has demonstrated way to much retraint over the years when dealing with Hamas, and its founder and Spiritual leader Sheik Yassin who has been blowing up people indiscriminatly for years. Last count was estimated to be 377 souls of which 51 where Americans, not to mention all the children he has killed. Jakester; Read the 36 articles of the Hamas Charter if you can stomach them. When the Palestinians decide to stop murdering innocent people and stop rejoicing in the streets over the deaths of our own countrymen, then I will support their right to a state. Giving murderers and their support apparatus a permanent base of operations is simply suicide.

Just like in Vietnam, when Ho Chi Mihn declared that the American Left (the war protesters) were his second front against the Americans - that is a domestic front. The American Left is continually trying undermine the actions of Americans trying to defend themselves. Americans die in battle so that you can sit there behind your computer and sip your coffee and tell us what you really think about our "conservative" views. its funny every time when there was basically a ceasefire of suicide bombings what does israel do it then prevokes the palistians by either doing a "targeted killing",incursion,or bulldozing or blowing up houses. hamas then responds with a suicide attack and the whole cycle repeats. now i wont say that hamas is innocent because they are not but every time in past year in a half of some attempt at a new peace plan it has almost always been israel who has destroyed it. and by peace what do you want. if its for the palistinans to stop attacking israel then it has to be done in a way where both sides stop. it cannot be that the palistians have to stop but israel continues to do incursions and targeted killing because if that is the case then the violence will never stop until israel completely baracades itself with a wall or expels the palistians from the region completely...

Like I said in an earlier post...Sheikh Yassin, in pace requiescat, in the lake of fire. He was an evil man, wanting the total obliteration of Israel at any cost. The world is for now, a better place with him heading toward judgement.

The only peace Hamas wants is the temporary one that allows them to rest and become stronger so they may rise up another day to defeat their enemies.
