The dhimmis weigh in

Dominique de Villepin

Jack Straw, predictably enough, isn't alone in dhimmi Old Europe. From the Times Online, with thanks to LGF:

FRANCE: Herve Ladsous, foreign ministry spokesman: "France condemns the action taken against Sheikh Yassin, just as it has always condemned the principle of any extra-judicial execution as contrary to international law. The attack bears a serious risk of increasing tensions in the whole of the region."

FRANCE: Dominique de Villepin, Foreign Minister: "At a time when it is so important to mobilise ourselves to advance the peace process, such acts can only feed the spiral of violence"

RUSSIA: Alexander Yakovenko, Foreign Ministry spokesman: "Moscow is deeply concerned about the situation. It threatens a new wave of violence which could sabotage efforts to restart negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis by the 'quartet' of international mediators and key regional powers."

GERMANY: Joschka Fischer, Foreign Minister: "The situation is that everything must be done so that further escalation can be avoided. The government is deeply concerned about this development."

EU: Javier Solana, Foreign policy chief: "This type of action does not contribute at all to create the conditions of peace. This is very, very bad news for the peace process. The policy of the European Union has been consistently condemnation of extra-judicial killing."

What about all these extra-judicial killings? "Since Septermber 2000, 227 Israeli civilians have been killed, and 1393 wounded in suicide bombings carried out by the Hamas."

Tell that to greenpeace.

I am trying to fathom the use of the words "extra-judicial" and "international law." Israel is having war made upon it -- specifically, a Jihad war, designed either to destroy the Infidel state, or to impose the shari'a, and hence the status of dhimmi (one of humiliation, degradation, and permanent insecurity) upon the non-Muslims in Israel. In wartime, as far as I know, one is under no obligation to bring to the bar of justice those who are on the other side. If they are engaged in massacring your people, you kill them. The United States has never had, and should never have, the slightest compunction about doing so. Nor did the British in World War II. But unlike other combatants, the Israelis make enormous efforts to avoid killing civilians ("Bomber" Harris did not, over German cities, nor the U.S. over Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki -- but were the British and the Americans wrong -- or were they right?) Though Judy Swallow, the closest thing we have to a contemporary blend of Lord Haw-Haw and Tokyo Rose, informs us that the Israelis killed "one frail old man" and further proceeds to supply the dreamy misinformation, delivered with assurance, to her millions of listeners, that the whole world has delivered its "verdict" of condemnation, including not only the Arab countries, but also "Europe and the United States." There was no such verdict from any official body or person in the United States; even the statements of some Europeans were not quite the "verdict of universal condemnation" Judy Swallow would have us believe, and is allowed, without correction, to assert (the BBC lies at the very heart of the Islamintern, that very loose association of Muslims, islamisants, tiers-mondistes, anti-American black reactionaries of the leftist and rightist varieties, and of course antisemites -- why, they even trotted out, unidentified, the Hamas supporter Aziz Tamimi for one of his monthly appearances on the BBC as a disinterested Middle East expert. There was no universal condemnation; Judy Swallow was flatly lying. And not, of course, for the first -- nor the last -- time.

Really, is there no one in England, other than Vladmir Bukovsky and Trevor Asserson, who is going to demand that the BBC Middle Eastern coverage ever-so-slightly try, just try, even to see what it feels like, to approximate something like fairness? Something like the truth?

The World Affairs Editor, Number 3 at the BBC, is one John Simpson. The author of an introduction to one of those conspiracy books on the "deliberate Israeli attack on the U.S.S. Liberty" (a real favorite on the antisemite circuit), and a real hater of the United States, about which he knows nothing (see his latest book, on his own involvement in the two Iraq wars; on every page there are at least 2-3 comments, vicious and idiotic, about the United States -- yet this is the man who decides, day after day, on the policies, on the stories, on the personnel, who in turn will affect how hundreds of millions of unwary listeners will take in and apprehend the universe. Will no one --anywhere, among the world's journalists and poltical figures -- nvestigate this sinister ant Simpson, whose views on America and Israel nicely encapsulate what has brought into being Eurabia -- or perhaps one should, more old-fashionedly, call it Occupied Europe -- occupied, that is, in its opinion-molding organs, by apologits for Islam, and enemies of America and Israel.

I speak as an Englishman with regard to the BBC Middle Eastern coverage. It is well known that the BBc is populated by people who have a world view approximating this; They are that American power is a bad thing, whereas the U.N. is good, that the Palestinians are in the right and Israel isn't, that the war in Iraq was wrong, that the European Union is a good thing and that people who criticise it are ''xenophobic,'' that racism is the worst of all sins, that abortion is good and capital punishment is bad, that too many people are in prison, that a preference for heterosexual marriage over other arrangements is ''judgmental,'' that environmentalists are public-spirited and ''big business'' is not, that Gerry Adams is better than Ian Paisley, that government should spend more on social programmes, that the Pope is out of touch except when he criticises the West, that gun control is the answer to gun crime, that... well, you can add hundreds more articles to the creed without my help. The BBC cannot even bring itself to mention the word "England", it invariably tries to use "Britain". The EU wants to break up England into 9 administrative regions because we are the only country in the European sphere which consistantly wants nothing to do with the EU or the "multiculturalism" experiment. The other parts of the UK, Scotland and Wales are not to suffer the same fate because they consistantly vote socialist and recieve big EU grants. Divide and conquer as some would say. Nay my friend you have many people who want to break free from the servitude of the EU and the Euro/Islamization of our people, they are called the "English" not the british. As for that master of sophistry, our foreign secretary Jack Straw please do not forget his party was elected on only 30% of the vote of which only 11% was in England. He speaks for the Scots and Welsh who have ever looked to Europe for their salvation. Please do not associate him with the English.

Hugh, good post. Informative as usual. Welcome Wes u hal. Glad to know there is a "Englishman" that doesn't stand with the terrorists.

Are there more of you?

One can hardly tell.

For what it's worth, the Jerusalem Post puts the numbers higher.

"According to these figures, since September 2000 Hamas has perpetrated 425 terrorist attacks of various kinds, in which 377 Israelis were murdered and 2,076 civilians and soldiers were wounded"

Myria

From a country that folded under the nazi terror and is doing it again with muslim terror.

Epg, yes there are more of us in England. However, I must admit I'm a Paddy.

Many nations making up the EU should beware of treading down that road, as their standing on ground once belonging to others at one time or another throughout its history, which could spark the same kind of action and senseless mentality as the Arabs ( I refuse to call them "palestinians", as the Jews are more entitled to that name than them)are inflicting on the Jews. It's also glaringly ignorant for them to belittle the value of a human life just because they follow a Jewish religion, and that somehow overrides their innocence, and the senselessness of their slaying by a band of murderous devils indoctrinated into hatred by a education system and cult which has become the breeding ground of future generations that may one day,(and soon) be blowing up their children.
How these people can justify what they say and sleep at night signifies how little soul they have, if any at all.
