Today is a day of mourning

From Rusty Shackleford (Rusty, pardon my late posting):

Why should we mourn? Because the elections in Spain will mean thousands of more dead in Iraq.

Why should we mourn? Because Poland, Lithuania, Italy, and all other allied European forces will be next.

Why should we mourn? Because U.S. soldiers will increasingly come under fire.

Why should we mourn? Because liberal Iraqis will find themselves under increasing attacks.

Why should we mourn? Because the Taliban will be re-invigorated.

Why should we mourn? Because another 9/11 will happen sometime near the Presidential election.

Today is truly a sad day. I call on all allies of common sense to mourn with me the enormous loss of life that is surely to follow. The Spanish people are directly responsible for all that will surely die in the coming months. Please join with me in condemning their horrifying actions.

Mourn, yes, but keep on fighting.

Robert,
Your forgiven. Keep fighting the good fight.

A day of mourning, yes, followed by a day of resolve. It is up to us.

Rusty, your words are simple and so expressive, yet I hold back on your saying the 'Spanish people are directly responsible' ...this was not a 100% mandate. A confluence of events caused this to happen. Let's support the sizeable number who may see clearly. If we brush stroke all Spaniards away we may lose, lose what may be 'less than the majority', and then the 'less than the majority' in other places. Put us/them all together and we/they can be awesome.

Robert, I think we so miss the ability to act on making a difference. We sit here and we type, but we so want to do more. You are doing it so fabulously. We long to participate. While we 'know' what we struggle to save, it means so many different things to different people...that's why we call it 'freedom.' All efforts that I've seen so far are 'anti' (like Whitehead's antiCAIR), that's negative. How can we make it satisfactorily 'pro' (like CAIR) to those on our side?

How do you capture a rainbow? ...and be ready together to use the necessary weapons to preserve it?

Best Regards
