The article"Recovering the Concept of the Enemy" is an unusually clear, concise and level headed answer to problems facing us at this moment in history.

I am still bewildered, since it is difficult for me to understand what there is about this article the Democrats can't seem to comprehend.

Those old enough to remember should note that in 1968, Hanoi was counting on Bobby Kennedy to immediately withdraw our troops from Vietnam, in '72, they were hoping against hope it would be McGovern.
In '76 Moscow got its wish in Jimmy Carter, in 1980 Teheran was counting on Carter, but were frustrated by the election of Reagan.
In 1984, Moscow was secretly backing the Mondale campaign.
In '88 Dukakis was our enemies' choice.
In '92 China and bin Laden cheered when Clinton was elected.
Now in 2004, our jihadist enemies and their allies in Europe and the UN are all counting on a Kerry election.
Odd how the enemies of the USA are always looking forward to a Democrat being elected.
