US vetoes UN resolution on Yassin killing

Gillerman: good questions

The US has blocked a UN resolution condemning Israel for killing Sheikh Yassin. Most stories don't tell you what Israeli Ambassador Dan Gillerman said, and it is worth knowing. From AFP, with thanks to Nicolei:

The United States on Thursday vetoed a resolution condemning Israel's killing of Palestinian militant leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin at an unusually bitter meeting of the UN Security Council.

ONE HEATED EXCHANGE

ISRAELI ambassador Dan Gillerman took aim at his counterpart Inocencio Arias of Spain, staring him down and asking whether the Spanish government would have tried to kill the attackers who left 200 dead in March 11 bomb attacks in Madrid.

'If you knew before the bloody massacre of your citizens took place who was going to carry that horrendous act out, would you have sat still and let it happen?' Mr Gillerman said.

Referring to the use of Palestinian children as suicide attackers, he said there could be no peace in the Middle East 'until the Palestinians learn to love their children more than they hate us'.

In response, the PA's Nasser al-Kidwa resorted to name-calling and ad hominem attacks — the usual response from radical Muslims and their allies.

Palestinian representative Nasser al-Kidwa retorted that Mr Gillerman's comments were 'full of racism' and added: 'Israel is a terror group.'

On Wednesday, the UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva voted 31-2 to condemn Israel for Yassin's death, but the body has no power to punish countries. A resolution by the Security Council would have carried more international weight.

The vetoed resolution condemned Yassin's death and called for a 'complete cessation of extrajudicial executions'.

It also condemned 'all terrorist attacks against any civilians, as well as all acts of violence and destruction'.

However, it did not mention any militant groups by name -- a traditional US demand.

Why does the US demand such a thing?

I don't suppose anyone has the time to do a UN Hansard search, to determine Arias' response to Gillerman's questioning? I'll bet it was nothing but craven, "no mas" dhimmi bleating...

And the AFP story suggests that it was the Pali thug that had to answer for the spaniard. WTF?

Hamas, and their actions over the past few years should tell everyone in the UN that the dose of their own medicine they just received was justified and warranted.

At least this wasn't a mass murder of innocent people. Israel took out an evil man, who was hell bent on their demise.

This is as close to a transcript as you are going to get....

SECURITY COUNCIL FAILS TO ADOPT RESOLUTION

CONDEMNING KILLING OF HAMAS LEADER

Vote Is 11 in Favour to 1 Against (United States),

With 3 Abstentions (Germany, Romania, United Kingdom)

The U.N. is infested with those on the take from Middle East oil money. This corrupt and irrelevent organization is only good as a place for these people to meet to arrange the exchange of bribes. As I don't believe it can be cleaned up and reformed, it should be disbanded.

Robert, Let's not forget about Osirak. Isreal was condemned by everybody, inclucing the USA. But no one faults them now, except the Wahhabis. Isreal did a great thing in taking out Sk. Yassin, and kill the rest of the vermin (Hamas, etc.) El Colombiano

The United Nations is a "Spy Hotel" and should be removed from the soil of the United States immediately.

The UN stands for "Useless Nations."

Furthermore...the UN should be moved to Europe, a more likely place should be Paris where the wines and food are more to their liking, and where they can condem the United States and Israel, all they want.

Lastly, the United States' tax payers should not be paying for the majority of the UN paid vacations, where the members condem the USA and Israel right to defend themselves. This is ludicrous. Why make it easy for the spies in the UN to spy on "our" land mass?

JUDY

When the Palistinians began strapping bombs on their children ...they began practicing "dygenics." Such "dysgenics" actually began through Islamic teaching when women and children became "lesser" classers some 1400 years ago as dictated by Muhammad, the Messenger. As such: Over time, this new type of hominid is now called: BIPEDUS SUICIDUS ERECTUS.

This group is now no longer classified as part of the human race, but a type of "Lemming" and is even less than a Primate, because no where in Primatology is it known where such mammals use "females" or "offspring" in a hunt, or in warfare" in either a defensive or an offensive action...or for survival. Therefore, this calculated use of women and children in warfare is an abnormal "mutation" in the gene pool of homo sapiens over the last 14 centuries is causing dire consequences.

Furthermore, nowhere in the study of Primatology, do any known mammals use the issues of their uterus, or wombs as "bomb-making factories" or their females as bomb-making machines.

The PLO, Hammas, and other such "suicide" and self-annialating terrorist groups who use their women and children as weapons, have therefore gone backwards and checked out of the human race.

With such calculated actions, they are now classified as: BIPEDUS SUICIDUS ERECTUS...A Subspecies of PRIMATES who are now no longer Human Beings. Therefore, such sub species of primates, in consideration of their actions against "human beings" should not allowed to sit in the United Nations" body, and should not be allowed to vote...and should be removed from Israeli lands.

Such a sub species should be isolated and contained, as a danger to all human life, and medical, restorative genetic, and psychological treatment given them. In consideration of all the "wars" and conflicts on this earth at this point in time in world history, the majority are being driven by Islamic ideology, and the "mind" of BIPEDAL SUICIDUS ERECTUS, who perceive women and children, not as human beings, but as bombs and instruments as war.
