Okay, so they got lucky on 9/11, but the Islamic terrorists are a tiny group that is on the run everywhere, right? Maybe, but how many more families like the Khadrs are in Canada and the United States today? From the BBC, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:
A Canadian released from Guantanamo Bay has admitted he is a member of al-Qaeda - and so are most of his family.Abdurahman Khadr said he had been "raised to become a suicide bomber" by his father, who was killed in a Pakistani military operation last year.
He said he grew up in Afghanistan and played with the children of al-Qaeda fugitive leader Osama Bin Laden.
Khadr was released after agreeing to co-operate with US authorities, but his brother is still in the Cuba base.
'Bad person'
Abdurahman Khadr, 20, was captured in Afghanistan in 2001 , but now lives in Toronto with the rest of his family.
"I just admitted we are an al-Qaeda family. We had connections with al-Qaeda," he told Canada's CBC television.
He said he and his brothers were sent to Afghanistan to train with al-Qaeda by their father Ahmed Said Khadr, an Egyptian-born Canadian who is thought to have ranked high in the organisation.
"I was raised to become a suicide bomber. I was raised to become a bad person," he admitted.
In the CBC programme, Mr Khadr described the Osama Bin Laden he knew as a normal person, with money worries and difficulty controlling his children.
"He has issues with his wife, and he has issues with his kids, financial issues, you know, the kids aren't listening, the kids aren't doing this and that.
"It comes down to (the fact) he's a father and he's a person," he said.
That last part reminds me of postwar Nazis talking about what a really sweet guy Hitler was, just like you and me, you know, kind to them and their children, a charming dinner guest, loved his dog, etc.
Why is this terrorist running free? After being caught in the act. Please, please....can anyone answer that for me?

i live in canada and i saw this interview on t.v.last night, and although adbulrahman seems like a pathological liar, the fact that his mother, who kept 'losing her passports', wants to come back here, well, this is very scary. these treasonous terrorrists should be stripped of their citisenship and banned from the country. i, like many other canaidians, will be keeping a close eye on this situation.
It isn't very often that I congratulate the CBC but this time they did an excellent job of interviewing the Khadr family. As the saying goes, give someone enough rope and they will hang themselves and that is what this family did collectively. One interesting sidebar, I listened to comments yesterday on CBC radio which aired an interview with Terrence McKenna, the documentary's producer. All (without a single exception) expressed outrage about this family and would like to see this family barred from returning to Canada and their citizenship revoked. By the way, does anyone know if this is legally possible?
Where to begin? With ex-Prime Minister chretien's anguished, ultimately successful plea to Benazir Bhutto to release Khadr Senior from a Pakistani prison? With the Canadian government's (CSIS, RCMP) lax investigation and anti-terrorism enforcement? With the endless Charter of Rights appeal mechanisms that are available to all of the vile Khadr family, now that they (sporadically) carry a Canadian passport (and, incidentally, those same rights are available to ANY Islamist terrorist that steps foot on Canadian soil- this is a fact)? The audacity of Mum Khadr attempting to bring Boy 4 back to Canada for medical treatment (notwithstanding that his medical care will cost the Canadian taxpayers millions until his death- and whose injuries were sustained in advancing jihad)? The pure evil that the devout Khadr daughter evinced, by calmly dismissing and applauding the events of 9/11- and her facile explanation therefor?
I could go on, but now I trust that my periodic postings here as a concerned Canadian are being brought into perspective.
To my American friends: Canada represents a direct threat to the national security of the United States. I would be pleased if you would forward this post to your respective Congress members and Senators.

Revocation of Canadian citizenship IS possible in very narrow circumstances- for example, Helmut Overlander (sp?), the Waterloo, ON-area SS member who lied on his Canadian citizenship application after the War and gained Canadian citizenship under false pretences. The feds have taken decades to attempt to revoke his citizenship and remove him from Canada.
Regrettably, assuming that the Khadrs do indeed have Canadian citizenship (ie., are not landed immigrants), there is no way to strip them of this PRIVILEGE!!! All that can be done is convict them under criminal or immigration law- and with the leniency and credulity shown by Canadian courts in such cases, any bets on the effectiveness of such prosecutions?
I have long thought that Canada is a serious threat to US national security. They keep letting in all these loonies, giving them sharia rights and giving them all kinds of "privileges" no matter how many laws they break.
It breaks my heart to see how a lovely, prosperous country like Canada is destroying itself, all in the name of "tolerance" and "diversity" and "international human rights" (do they care about the human rights of the people these jihadis murder? No!)
We'll also have to prepare ourselves for the millions of Canadian dhimmies who'll flee across our borders after the Islamic Republic of al-Kanada is established.
Canada is a huge trade partner of the U.S., Jihad won't win up there. They can try, but they will lose. They've brought kinves to a gunfight, and homemade strap on bombs to a daisy cutter convention.

People are missing some important facts that came out in this documentary. Abdulrahman Khadr was raised to be an Al-Qaeda terrorist, but he became dissillusioned after Sept 11th. He ran away from the Al-Qaeda camp several times, but his family kept sending him back. He surrendered to US soldiers in Afganistan and agreed to work for the CIA as an informant, since he knew a lot of Al-Qaeda people and safe-houses. He was sent to Gitmo and Bosnia to work undercover. In November he returned to Canada to live with his Grandmother. His father was killed in a raid by Pakistani security forces, one brother is in jail in Pakistan, another brother is in Gitmo, and another brother is hiding out in Pakistan. He has renounced Al-Qaeda, including his father for taking his family down that path. His mother, who lives in Pakistan, has disowned him. He stated in the interview he expects Al-Qaeda will try to kill him.
So this kid is not a terrorist, he worked for us against the terrorists. His mother and sister are another story: they are still in Pakistan and want to come back to Canada, but the Canadian gov't doesn't seem very anxious to help them. I do hope they are refused entry.

Regarding the leniency (i.e. idiocy) of Canadian courts, did you see the article in last Saturday's Globe and Mail about Mitchell McArthur (I would post the link but I can't seem to cut and paste within this comment section). He is a convicted bank robber with 134 previous convictions who was again convicted of a botched robbery attempt where he shot 3 police officers,the bank manager and a local businessman (fortunately not fatally but seriously wounding two police officers). He was sentanced to four life sentences - sounds rather serious right? Read on and you will find out he eligible for parole in seven years. ARRGH!!

Yes, I read the article. And all that went through my head was, "four CANADIAN life sentences". Add in credit for the time spent in custody awaiting sentencing, double this credit due to the "inhumane" condition of Canadian prisons, know that all such sentences are viewed by judges and the Crown as concurrent rather than consecutive, and that day parole for someone like Mcarthur in the absence of a DO designation is granted after 1/3 time served- I guessed that he'd be back on the street within five years.

For sake of argument, one in six of Khadr's evil spawn have foresaken radicalized Islam- that means that 84% of Khadr's children are engaged in jihad. But what was going through my mind during the documentary was...taqiyyah. I don't trust Abdurahman Khadr's story for one minute. He's lying through his teeth in an attempt to prevent CSIS from turning him over to the Syrians or the Egyptians. For an accurate picture of famille Khadr, just reflect on the psychopathy of the daughter and the lunatic fancies of the mother.

The Canadian gov't can check the truth of A. Khadr'd story by asking the CIA. The way the gov't responded to his lies last September, ("He's no virgin"), when Khadr said he was not connected to Al-Qaeda suggests the Canadian gov't and CSIS already knew that he was working with the CIA.
As for the rest of his family, the mother and daughter were horrifying examples of the psychopathology of terrorists: sick, sick, sick. They should be arrested for aiding a terrorist organization. I can't imagine them being allowed back into Canada.

The Taliban killed tens of thousands in Afghanistan (including outspoken women), the Islamists in Algeria have killed over 100,000 in the last decade, and the Sudanese Islamic Fundementalists have slaughtered over 1 million Christian Sudanese, and taken over 40,000 women & children into slavery. They make Osama look like a bit player!
The US and her many allies in the war are using diplomacy, intelligence, police work, economic methods, and when necessary military force.
What else do you propose we do? Appease the terrorists? Agree to their demands? Surrender? Convert? Or perhaps we should just bury our heads under our pillows and wish them away?

I have a hard time believing that this guy would've worked as an informant for us if he wouldn't have been caught in Afghanistan. He was there for a reason, and it wasn't to gather intelligence for us.

A. Khadr was taken to Afghanistan by his father, along with the rest of his family, when they were children. His father was a senior Al-Qaeda commander. They were living with Bin Laden when Clinton fired those cruise missiles at the terrorist camp in '98. In the interview, Abdurahman described his training in weapons, bomb making etc. But he became increasingly rebellious, he rejected the violent jihad ideology and tried to run away. His father tried to convince him to become a suicide bomber. He finally broke with Al-Qaeda after Sept 11th which he felt was a terrible crime against innocent people. Clearly, he is no choir boy, but you don't get choir boys to work with the CIA infiltrating Al-Qaeda.
The real point to the Kahdr family story is that there are Al Qaeda people in the West, lying about their ties to terrorists, and that gullible politicians and media swallow their lies.

last year they deported a polish family which were tax payers who lived here for something like 6 years, which set up a legitimate business that employed 8 canadians, who all paid taxes, and why? because when they paid their immigration fees 6 years before, the wife wrote $1150 instead of $1200.

Yes Kenneth, I know there are Al Qaida members here, and I also know that they've duped many important people here into thinking they're good human beings.
This guy is not believable. If he was that rebellious against Al Qaida, they'd have killed him, because of the knowledge he had about their operations. He can say what he will, and does because he has to live in the civilized world. However, he was caught in Afghanistan. Rebellion would have made him turn on the people he allegedly hates and fired on them. He didn't do that.
He simply got caught, and cooperated. I've heard too many lies from Muslims , like the ones you mentioned in your post, they put on a facade for the sake of existence so they can carry out their "Mission"......Nope, this guy doesn't get the benefit of the doubt from me......Sorry, I just can't believe his story.

Jihad is not just military. It also involves the seemining peaceful and innocuous educated individuals that inhabit think tanks, institutions of higher education, government programs, and even the State Department. These are much more dangerous than the bombers. They propose to conquer from within by making subtle and then later larger changes until our institutions have been twisted and subverted by Sharia law. These are the people that MUST be rooted out and declawed, but because they SEEM harmless, little if anything will be done unless some exposes them for what they are.
And that will only be done through the kind of education program that we are going through. Most Americans don't have the time, interest, or inclination to do anything other than to demand that "terrorists be rounded up," or that "the President send troops for a pre-emptive strike," or that "we should make friends with them," or "pray for them," or "make peace treaties," or other such useless suggestions. However, as these have worked in the past, we can't blame our fellow countrymen for being naive. We can blame those in the government that know the truth. Surely, we few aren't the only ones; at least I hope we aren't.

Canada is our family to the North. I will not take part in sour words. They are good people and I feel safer with them up there.
England and Australia are our brothers in Arms.. We share a rich history and I can wish no better people to fight next to then both countries.
We all understand Canada has a few imigration issues. So does the US. We all understand that all our countries have this liberal "political correctness" poluting our country. But that is what this site is for. To inform and enlighten.

I feel that the Canadian government creates the resentment that follows immigrants around,by making laws and exceptions for outsiders while neglecting tried and true Canadians.Please think about the majority not the minority .I feel for them however they have openly admitted to being affilliated with terrorists.My husband who was born disabled in Canada had to fight and beg for a welfare handout when he lost his job.
As a landed immigrant I came here and have worked and lived in this country for over 30 years. I took citizenship in the 70's. It is deplorable the way the Canadian Govenment has allowed these Kahdr terrorists to return to Canada.It is unfortunate that the 15 year old boy is crippled but he was engaged in fighting for Al-Quaida alongside his father against coalition troops. That in itself should disbar him from returning. However the family know that they can get free medical for him, now that his father has been killed. They are just taking advantage of the generosity of this country. Send them back to their own country, they do not deserve to live here.
I am a Canadian who is absolutely disgusted with the fact the Kahdr family has been allowed back into Canada. The only way this should have been acceptable is on the condition the whole lot of them were arrested at the airport. But alas, in the new politically correct semi socialist paradise our "leaders" have created up here they are given the red carpet treatment by our government. This insanity has gone on long enough. This is not the first time something like this has happened. There were Canadian "citizens" who went to the aid of Yugoslavia at the time Nato was involved in the conflict over there. None were ever to my knowledge investigated or punished. It sickens me to know that terrorists like the Khadrs can go about their business half a world away, breeding terrorism and spreading hatred and descent in peace loving countries, and then return to a country they once turned their back on only because they need free medical coverage. I was born here, my parents were born here, their parents, and so on. I recently married a woman from the U.S. and we have a son, and a daughter on the way. We've had to jump through so many damn hoops with immigration to get her paperwork filed and processed and we're still waiting. She's been without OHIP coverage for almost a year now, and we face the possibility that we won't have her covered by the time she goes into labour. What I want to know is how it's so damn easy for immigrants to come from the middle East and get into this country when they have NOTHING to offer it (do we really need another taxi driver or WalMart employee??), while my wife, who is skilled and very educated, seems to be pushed aside simply because she isn't a visible minority or under some sort of duress in her native country.
I've always tried to keep an open mind about other cultures, but I am a proud person and I am proud of Canada. I'm not going to stand aside and watch as my country is overrun with terrorists who will not rest until there is unrest in every civilized country in the world. You see, that is their goal. Canada IS a target for terrorism (along with the U.S., Spain, and Britain) so why do we allow people who are associated with terrorism and terrorist organizations into our wonderful country?

200 IRA terrorists and another 400 sympathizers were able to terrorize Northern Ireland for over 25 years. Out of a population of 4 million. Using the same percentage .00018%, it comes out to 170,000 Moslem terrorists out of the 1 billion Moslems worldwide.
9/11 was done by 19 Moslem terrorists. Madrid by 12-20 fanatics. It is frightening to think how many casualties and damage 170,000 fanatical Moslems could cause in the Western World.
