Barzani: whistling in the dark?
What do you think the odds are that Al-Sadr will do what Barzani says? From UPI, with thanks to Jack Mackie:
BAGHDAD, April 7 (UPI) -- The leader of the Iraqi Governing Council, Massud Barzani, Wednesday advised rebellious Shiite cleric Moqtada Sadr to surrender to justice."If he is innocent he can go back home," Barzani said at a news conference in Baghdad.
An arrest warrant was issued by the coalition authority against Sadr on charges of involvement in last year's assassination of Shiite religious authority Abdel Majid al-Khoei in the holy city of Najaf.
Barzani, who leads the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) said "no one should be permitted to stand above the law and criminals who attack state properties should be prosecuted."
"The law should be implemented and justice should prevail," Barzani said, stressing that he supports "decisive action against all the violators of the law."
Sadr's followers have been fighting against coalition troops for the past few days in several parts of Iraq, including Baghdad. The battles claimed the lives of dozens of Iraqis and at least a dozen coalition troops.
Martyrdom would be his choice over surrender. Let him go to paradise, expecting the 72 virgins. Imagine his surprise when they hand him a bunch of grapes instead!
That's just an amusing joke. We all know what really happens to premediated murderers, even those that kill using religion as a justification: the fires of Hell. A well-deserved "reward."
mr barzani HAS JUST RESIGNED.....!!!!
OUR ACTIONS WILL SPEAKS THE TRUTH IN THE FUTURE ...(inshallah).
Ah, Crushie! Not only have you learned to spell "Zionist," but I see that you have cleverly added a further refinement to your pseudonym: "we'll." Very nice. Do try to begin a proper name with a Big Letter, though.
Well done. You get a "C." It would have been an "A" if you had the first person plural in "Our actions will speaks." You see, here you spelled it "speaks," which is the third person singular. It should have been "speak."
The other "points off" errors were that you didn't begin your posting with a Big Letter and follow "Mr" with a period. It should have been "Mr." You also failed to spell "Barzani" with a cap--oops, a Big Letter too.
All in all, though, well done. Crushie, you are improving every day!
Very well, class, you are dismissed. Don't forget your homework!
