Bin Laden's "peace" offer draws out the appeasers

These commentators do not know Islamic law, or otherwise they would know that a truce is only temporary in Islam -- in order to allow the Muslim side to regroup and re-arm. They would be fools to make a hudna with any fundamentalist political Islam group.

This truce offer is really just a sign of how badly Al-Qaeda has been hurt by the US. This is time to crush them completely, while they are hurting, and not let them get away to become more powerful.

What's sad about these comments is that some ignorant European's actually believe in a "truce" with Islam. Islam is in a perpetual state of war and only offers a "truce" when they are losing. They use the "truce" to regroup, rearm and then launch new attacks.The latest example of that is the "truce" between Palestinian terror groups and Isreal last year. Ture to form Palestinians used the time to rearm and reorganize then launch new ane more deadly attacks. The only attempt to create a true Islamic state was that begun by the blessed Taliban in Afghanistan, but they were overcome by the infidels before they had done much more than made a small beginning.

In any case, the establishment of true Islam cannot happen in a single "nation state". When the Muslim lands are reconquered and the Caliphate re-established, true Islam will flourish. The West has offered Muslims religious freedom, political and economic opportunity
without restriction. Like most Westerners, I have been tolerant of religious beliefs and
encourage people to live peacefully together. I have watched Muslims slaughter innocent
civilians in the Middle East for decades and wondered how they believe that these murders
will help resolve their problems. I hoped that Muslim moderates would come forward,
condemn the killing and lead Muslims to a path of peace.

The horror of the attacks on American civilians on September 11,2001 by Muslims
changed my status from outside observer to combatant. The attack on Americans who
had defended Muslims in Bosnia and Kosovo, tried to broker a Palestinian-Israeli peace
and provided extensive humanitarian aid to Muslim nations was despicable. I sought out
international news to try to understand why we were attacked. I was even more horrifed to
discover that many Muslims were dancing in the streets, celebrating the murder of 3000
American civilians. More shocking still, was the fact that even those Muslims who weren't
celebrating the attack would not condemn the attack. Every Muslim's comments on the attack
contained a "but" that claimed that the attack was justified.

I began searching for the moderate, peaceful Muslims that I believed comprised the
majority in the faith. Every website and book that I read assured me that Islam was a religion
of peace however there seemed to always be a "but" that justified murder and terror. When I
read the Quran I found that I was an infidel living in dar al-harb, a second class citizen forced to
wear a sign of my disbelief and walk to identify my dhimmi status. I began to wonder what Islam
was really about.

Muslim clerics call for death to America and civilians citing passages from the Quran. Allah
says in the Quran "We shall strike terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve..." and "Prepare
against them all you can of power, including the steeds of war to terrorize the enemy of Allah".
The internet is populated with sites such as al-muhaajiroun that call for a new caliphate and say
it is the duty of Muslims to murder of kuffaar such as myself. Westerners allow Muslims to freely
practice their religion in the West and move about freely. Saudi Arabia will not allow kuffaars to
even own a bible or cross let alone visit Mecca.

The truth about Islam is clear by it's works.

1. Islam is intolerant and arrogant. Any religion or culture that cannot tolerate other beliefs
is weak and backward. Muslims fear exposure to other belief systems because they know
how implausible Mohammed's teachings are and that Islam will be rejected if people
study other belief systems. A pilgrimage to a black rock-idol that Muslims claim is the
creator of the universe is absurd. To claim that we must accept your beliefs or forfeit
life or freedom is arrogant.

2. Islam is about power and control. Islam is only possible if enforced at the point of a sword.
Muslims murdered and pillaged their way across the medeival world to gain riches, slaves
and plunder. Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and Jews did not convert to Islam. Europeans
rightly rejected Muslim tyranny and drove them from their lands. Thinking people reject the
Dark Age barbarism and slavery of Islam.

3. Islam stifles freedom and the human spirit. The creator of the universe meant for humans to
live and experience life. The creator did not mean for humans to grovel before Him nor
subject women to slavery nor murder those who disagree about religious doctrine.
The creator gave use minds to think, not to recite the teachings of an illiterate, ignorant,
kept man who lived 1300 years ago.

4. Islam could evolve and peacfully exist with other religions in the world....but it won't. Muslims
live in a Dark Age fantasy of power and control over the inhabitants of the earth. Muslims
should rebuke the killers in their midst but instead they make excuses for their crimes
against humanity. Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Confucians and pagans indict, bring to
justice and punish muderers. Muslims ignore or celebrate other Muslim's heinous deeds.
Clean your own house Muslim.

Islam is a Cult of Death, a tyranny of ignorance, slavery and murder. Too many Muslims prefer
death to life, slavery to freedom, ignorance to knowledge, poverty to prosperity. The creator
