Britain: Finsbury Park mosque to reopen

On another Chamberlainian note, the New York Times 51 assorted diplomats, Arabists, the expected galere -- only one name, that of Oliver Miles, is given -- Ithe very people who are in up to their necks in Euro-Arab Dialogues, and vilification of Israel (preparatory to throwing that country to the wolves, in the vain hope that, as the Arabs pretend, only that little matter stands in the way of eternal friendsip between the long-suffering (the current word of choice is "humiliated" -- which really means "thwarted" in their designs to destroy not only Israel, but all Infidel powers that stand in their way), and of course, a real inability to see that whatever his faults (they are many) Blair is at least able to sense, however dimly and imperfectly, that there is something about Islam that is a mortal threat to something we like to call Western civilization (anyone still at home? Hello?).

The London Fifty-Two are far more of a danger than the scruffy Chicago Seven ever were. They are smooth men, most of them, with distinguished exteriors. Some of them have well-modulated voices. They are dangerous, some because they are essentially stupid, others because they are evil, still others because they are both stupid and evil. They remind one of Anthony Eden, that great pro-Arabist, the mover behind the founding of the Arab League, the man utterly indiffernt to the sufferings of the Jews (it was Eden to whom the Polish diplomat Jan Karski revealed what is going on at Auschwitz, into which Karski had been smuggled, and saw with his own eyes the mass murdering, and Eden who remained utterly indifferent, and helped to prevent the bombing of the railtracks into Auschwitz, which would have taken nothing). They remind one, as well, of all those who, as part of the British government in Mandatory Palestine, not only betrayed their solemn commitments to the Jews under the Mandate, to open the country to Jewish immigration and to promote "close Jewish settlement on the land" but in fact encouraged Arab intransigence and the activities of frenzied Muslim mobs, from Bertie Waters-Taylor, who encouraged the 1921 massacres of Jews in the Old City (with British soldiers keeping all Jewish defense forces from entering to defend their co-religionists being slaughtered), to the British official in Hebron in 1929 who simply decamped when the Arabs turned on their Jewish neighbors and massacred every last one of them, to those who -- when the great Orde Wingate (buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Section 12, Gravestone #288 -- rates a visit, with several stars in any moral Michelin of morality), one of the handful among the British officers or officials in Mandatory Palestine who actually believed in the restoration of Jews to their ancient homeland, and taught them how to defend theselves -- promptly had him booted out of the country, and extending all the way to Sir Evelyn Barker, the British Military Commander in Palestine who confided to his Arab lover (the winisome widow of "Arab Renaissance" author George Antonius), after World War II mind you, that he would be delighted to "help the Arabs exteriminate the Jews." (The letter containing this revealing remark turned up in a cache of epistolary passion found by the Israelis after June 1967, in eastern Jerusalem -- the exact quote may be found in in the cache of letters the Israelis found in that otherwise sentimental and silly and ill-written book, Tom Segev's One Palestine, Complete). Little has changed; the London Fifty-Two are simply the employees of the English succursale of that mighty institution, with branches everywhere in Occupied Europe, the Euro-Arab Dialogue. They represent an internal threat, as much as the BBC's John Simpson, who runs the World Service, with all its internal Lord Haw-Haws and Tokyo Roses (Judy Swallow, Lise Doucette, Robin Lustig, and so on).

One wonders what J. B. Kelly, the greatest scholar of the Arab states of the Gulf, now living in retirement in southern France, or Ann K. S. Lambton, the greatest modern scholar of Iran, who in retirement near Durham (and over 90), or the dour Elie Kedourie, that native of Baghdad who so brilliantly dissected the Anglo-Arab labyrinth, if he could be resurrected, or Bernard Lewis, who refuses to see fully the full horror either of Muslim treatement of non-Muslims, or what the central tenets of Islam really mean (and to some degree is responsible for this absurd "light-unto-the-Muslim-nations" project that is wasting men, materiel, money, and political capital in Iraq, with its population, ranging from the frenzied mobs of gay mutilators, to the sullen, quiescent masses with their own, sickening "wake-me-when-you've-finished-rebuilding-the-country" and "by-the--way-you-owe-us-a-lot-including-guaranteeing-our security" whining and utter ingratitude for all that the United States has already achieved, in freeing them from a monster and in spending large sums on schools, hospitals, roads, the port of Umm Qasr, oilwells, electricity grids, water treatment plants (4.5 million Iraqis have potable water for the first time in their history, thanks to those American "occupiers"); no one should forget the swinish behavior of these people, utterly passive when it comes to putting in any effort to rebuild their own unpleasant country, but stirred to frenzy when the chance comes to kill, or watch being killed, American soldiers and civilians, or to join in merry mutilations of whatever American corpses are available -- or if there are no bodies, then symbolically rendering limb from metal limb, a Humvee or a helicopter.

Let them be looked into, these 51 signers, these people who pretend to have only the best interests of the country, and of policy, at heart. How many of them are, or have been, recipients of Arab largesse, either directly, or through one of those phony Middle Eastern Institutes which receive aid from Saudi or other Arab donors, or from corporations that do business in the Arab oil states.

The late Sir Lewis Namier, a historian of England, believed that one could learn much by investigating, one by one, the personal biographies of those who, for example, took part in the Long Parliament. Who was it who voted to execute Charles II? What, exactly, were the interests of those who took part in the Constitutional Convention in 1776? Or who were the stalwart supporters of the Euro-Arab Dialogue, or of Europe distancing itself from the United States in its Middle Eastern policy, which has not quite settled into the full appeasement mode of western Europe? Let intrepid journalists study up on all fifty-two; it should be instructive.

Diplomacy, when carried out by ordinary men -- smooth men, perhaps, but mentally very ordinary men -- will always reflect the obvious idees recues, the received opinions and fixed ideas, of the age. It was that way in the 1920s, when firm intervention by the American, British, and Czech forces might, in fact, have helped the Whites in Russia to decisively defeat the Reds (a mere 19,000 trooops were sent -- 100,000 might have made the difference for Denikin and Wrangel, and spared Russia, Eastern Europe, China, and indeed the world, many decades of avoidable Communist despotism).

"What everyone knows is true" was similarly at work in the 1930s, when the spiritual grandfathers of these Fifty-Two Great and Good diplomats, Arabists gone (as Arabists will) native, apologists for "peaceful" and "tolerant" Islam, the dutiful students in the why-can't-we-all-get-along school, its pedagogic philosophy derived from the sentimentalism of this sentimental age. Such sentimentalism is based on the Edward Steichen Family-of-Man promoted notion that we all cry, and laugh, and grieve,whether in Beijing, or the Congo, or the Upper East Side. Oh, so we do. But what is it that "we" laugh, or cry at? In Fallujah, in Najaf, in Baghdad -- as in Ramallah or Nablus or Gaza, or among the frenzied mobs that can be whipped up in Karachi, or Teheran, or Cairo -- they laugh delightedly over the corpses of Americans or Jews or other Infidels. That is what pleases them, causes them delight. They grieve, of course, when they hear of the killing of one of their Great Men, a Hamas leader, an operative of Bin Laden, or a Shi'a "cleric" who, in their terms, is an eternal ABD -- and his dreams of future ayatollahdom being dashed, he has traded Shi'a tenure for terror.

Ladies and gentleman, Exhibit #1 in the trial of the Quislings of Eurabia (English Branch) is the letter just signed by the London Fifty-Two.

Exhibit #2 is the Finsbury Mosque, which was allowed to re-open when it ought to have been permanently closed, along with a goodly number of other mosques known to the British authorities.

Don't tar us all with the same brush, Chaya. Granted we may be led by idiots in Government. A great number of Idiots may have assumed positions of importance and power in the police, civil service, media and educational establishment. We may even have commited acts of idiocy in the past, (which nation has not?) but in a few quarters, common sense can still be heard. Sadly we now find our selves in the situation where freedom of speech (and freedom of thought) is fast becoming a distant memory. To hold views that differ from the spineless, politicaly correct liberal orthodoxy in this country, is to invite a criminal investigation. We can not, at the next general election vote these fools out, as the extent to which this madness runs has infected all the major parties. They are now so alike, it is virtually impossible to tell them apart. Consequently democracy, and with it sanity is dead in the UK. It dosn't matter who we vote for, they both stand for the same miss-guided values and self-destructive policies.

Hamza will be persona non gratis at the mosque for a while, but who will bet against a 'popular movement' in the mosque calling for his return and him reinstalling himself before the next sitting of the extradition trial.
I wish more islamic clerics were like Hamza. Overconfident and nasty, so sure of islams power and the wests weakness they keep on pushing. It's only the obviously malevelant like Hamza that can make Britain wake up to the danger. With comments like non muslims should not be tolerated in muslim countries unless they can be bought and sold in the market.
The low brow TV Tabloid program in the UK 'Tonight with Trevor Macdonald" featured Al Mujahiroun and Hamza, and although noone is yet able to say to themselve on the TV yet "Islam is the problem." the summing up was as good as we could hope, something along these lines,
"These people openly propose the overthrow of our political system and it's replacement with an islamic state. You may think this is laughable and it could not happen, but do you know something, they are not laughing."

The hard core of the FO's Arabist establishment since Suez (possibly even earlier) are agitated to be challenged - they're not accustomed to even a peep of criticism.

Their reputations and "legacy" could soon be going right down the gurgler. All their exertions and investments in making appeasement the centre-piece of British policy towards the dar el-Islam for decades could vanish in a flash - like illusions melt upon the introduction of light and reason - much to the grave displeasure of their sponsors and masters in Araby.

I picture these diplomats swishing around some over-ornately gilded, flocked London reception-room, in thobs and keffiyehs of purest white (treasured for ages in their closets), sniggering, spouting gobbets from "the Seven Pillars of Wisdom", lisping snide antisemitic innuendoes and fondly reminiscing about the lithe, dusky bum-boys they once shared "on station" in exotic climes.

This fifth column's not likely to be silent while their dire record of mischief and menace is exposed for the subversion and sabotage that it has long been - they won't rest till Mr Blair's dumped and the vile Robin Cooke's in No.10, a "rehabilitated" George Galloway's running the FCO and that mad maenad, Claire Short, is in control of British Intelligence.

It is time you faced up to reality: the so-called religion called Islam you and other western nations have in good faith admitted to your shores is a human sacrifice cult thousands of years old. Islam is in no way a Judeo-Christian faith. Enough said. Please take appropriate action. Presently, Americans are unpopular in Britain and many Brits would rather not listen to us. Nonetheless, a world war is brewing, which once again we didn't start or want, butone which will drag us into action and likely engulf your land. When the next global-scale conflict erupts as it surely will, it would be nice if we were BOTH fighting evil--instead of just us. As we Americans found ourselves back in the 1930s. Do not attempt to appease the likes of Osama bin Loony Tunes and Company. Fight them tooth and and nail. Unless of course you are ready to abandon deomcracy and the good life.

Europe is slow to respond because it has two world wars under its belt. It does not want any more violence. Yet, Europe will never accept muslim rule or even muslim parity.
At some point a true United Europe will become a reality due to the threat of Islamic expansion. It is this enemy that will bring about the real European Union, and it will be forged in war. That union will be real and lasting.
Europeans will ask themselves collectively "who are we?" 'What is our culture, our mission, our history?" The vision of a United Europe will galvanize the continent to meet the islamic invader. Europeans will suddenly realize this collectively and then implement it with a vengeance. No one will be allowed to remain in Europe who actively works against the native culture. There will be many hard choices, especially in the realm of economics, but the spectre of a Europe in dhimmitude to Mecca will become the overriding motivation to put an end to this menace. Europe will awake from its passivity and once more meet the islamic challenge. Europe will once again realize its natural allegiance with the USA. A pivotal moment in history.

I do fear that the Europeans've passed the point of no return on their road to abject dhimmitude, having swallowed down neat the toxic cocktail of Islamo-fascism and radical leftism that the apologists in the press, the universities, politics, many churches and the public sector in general have concocted for them, on behalf of their rabid and rapacious Arab and Moslem masters.

Its irreversible poison has a delayed, cumulative effect, causing incurable blindness and deafness to fact, imperviousness to logic, progressive weakening and paralysis, wild delusions and running off at the mouth with sheer inanities.

Finally comes a painful, sadistic, unresisting, bewildered butchering at the hands of visceral hordes, crazed with an atavistic bloodlust - to whom the delirious victims, in their grand folly, have deliberately opened their doors, warmly inviting and welcoming them in.

Europe has inadvertently placed herself in a difficult situation. But a Europe dominated by islam is not a 'fait accompli'. Never underestimate the power of an idea whose time has come. In this case, the idea of a United Europe, the EU.
It may well be an ironic twist of fate that the only thing that will make the EU a true reality is the common bond forged in a fight against the Islamic influence. This resonates in European history.
Europeans may well be caught up in political correctness and unconscious appeasement of islam due to feelings of guilt of past colonialism, etc. But at some point the reality will become clear. Such a point is a decision point. People will be faced with a decision, because the issue can no longer be denied or swept under the rug.
At that point enough Europeans will realize that if they want to preserve their culture and heritage they will have to fight. Eastern Europe especially will take up this fight. They didn't get over communism just to become islamicized.

Finally, you cannot subjugate the conviction of the heart. Europe is not a muslim culture. It is only under the growing, and aggressive influence of islam because of economic policies and misguided political phantasies. Too much 'live and let live' and not enough 'tough love'. Once the cold shower of reality hits home all this will change.

It will get bloody and violent, because the islamic influence will not peacefully leave. Neither will Europeans assent to rule by a muslim theocracy. Europe would no longer be Europe! C'est impossible! Võllig verrückt! Bloody Hell!

Enough Europeans will see this and will stand and fight.
And this will be the struggle that creates the true United Europe. A Brit, a Swede, a German, a Pole, etc have a lot more in common with each other than with a muslim immigrant who refuses to assimilate.

The creation of a united Europe has been a long standing dream. Well, I say it will happen because it must happen if Europe is to remain Europe.

.....hopefully you Brits will wake-up from your liberal ideology. as an international police officer i've heard it over and over again from Muslims, "our first goal is to destroy Israel, then destroy the west, take your women and your land- you don't know what we talk about in our mosques." don't wait another day to awake from your hazy view of reality.

Yes, Mr. Hartrich, Armageddon hasn't come yet; however, we can realise that it's a heck of a lot closer than it was. A couple of important prerequisites have been fulfilled:

1) The Gospel has by now been preached in most or all of the world (barring a few isolated tribes in New Guinea or perhaps South-East Asia too - that won't be long in coming);

2) We now do have the full technology to wipe out all flesh on this planet without our control being needed (i.e., once some of it gets out from our control, the rest will follow inexorably - nuclear chain reactions, chemical reactions, bacteriological mutations, etc.). [It's these days that therefore Our Lord will shorten for the sake of His Elect.]
