Kofi Annan spots a terrorist anon!
Kofi Annan suggests to Arafat that it is not all Israel's fault and urges him to crack down on terrorists. I am not holding my breath, although recent events may have concentrated Yasser's mind.
UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan urged Yasser Arafat on Friday to give Israel's Gaza pullout plan a chance, saying Palestinians should crack down on terrorists to help revive a broader peace effort, Reuters news agency reported.In unusually tough language, Annan - in a letter obtained by Reuters - also criticized the Palestinian Authority Chairman for failing to meet obligations under the road map plan including security reforms and putting an end to suicide bombings.

What a hypocrite Anan is. He had a chance to deliver this message after Camp David foundered, but did not do so. Instead, he chose to look out his office window as the intifada 1 and 2 proceeded apace, with NEVER any criticism for either the corruption or thuggery of the PA, nor any support for Israel's right of self-defence. Remember, Durban occurred on Anan's watch.
This man is Exhibit "A" for why the UN is utterly discredited- and why America should simply withdraw from the organization entirely. Just let it become a de jure Third World and European debating club- all talk, no action and, best yet, NOT subsidized by the American taxpayer.
Parenthetically, I note that the Canadian Prime Minister floated a trial balloon this week for a "G20" to effectively take the place of the irreparable UN.

So Kofi Annan finally noticed that the Palestinians and Yassir Arafat are terrorists.

Oh my, oh my, Kofi Annan is waking up to the palestinian terrorist fiefdom of Yasser Arafat! It must be that the last UN scandal of the Iraqi oil for food scam is wetting his trousers. It is a long time that the UN organization is the major obstacle to world peace, populated as it is by a large majority of Arab and Islamic fascist dictatorships. The U.S. should withdraw from the United Nations and declare them defunct. They should then initiate an international organization where only countries governed by democratic parlamentary majority could belong. We might then see a little more decency in world matters and justice.
The UN are fecking useless and Annan is a twit. While the UN gaze down at their shuffling feet and murmer "Aw gee shucks, I dunno what to do." people around the world get slaughtered as they stand by picking fluf out of their collective navel.
Here's case of the pot calling the kettle black. One terrorist (Annan) "suggesting" that the other terrorist (Arafat) crackdown. Give me a break. The only difference between the two is that one wears a suit and tie.
