A statement from Andrew Whitehead of Anti-CAIR:
On April 1st, 2004, I was sued by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) for libel. In the suit, CAIR asks for damages amounting to 1.3 million. I am very pleased to announce that the firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, with offices throughout the United States and Europe, has agreed to represent me. On May 3rd, 2004, they filed a response to the CAIR suit that includes detailed counterclaims under state and federal law.America, unique among nations, values and protects freedom of speech. This freedom is of particular importance when it comes to issues of public concern.
CAIR may not like what I have to say, and they are free to take issue with me in the marketplace of ideas, where everyday they take advantage of our Constitution. CAIR takes advantage of our freedom of speech, protected over the years by generations of servicemen and women to broadcast their radical message. However, they are not free to silence me.
This litigation is a battle I do not want, but is one we are going to fight, and I fully expect to win.
FINALLY!!! CAIR has brought on a suit against an anti-islamist in the United States. Here's our chance to put paid to the lies espoused by the islamists. "Religion of peace"?- not after this dissimulation is exposed through a trial.
There will be great jurisprudence coming out of this case; I can see it going to the USSC.
Advice to Andrew Whitehead: Call the Rev. Mark Durie (he of the brilliant Witness Statement in the Catch the Fire Ministries case) as an expert witness. Fly him in and get him to shine a light on islam through this lawsuit. Establish a fund to pay your legals- and go after Mr. Bronfman, Mr. Soros, Stephen Spielberg and any other wealthy persons having a vested interest in your successful defence, to contribute substantially.
This case will be a seminal battle in our fight against radicalized Islam.
Do you think Soros will contribute? Bet not.

Notwithstanding Robert's ease with the materials of islamism, and his familiarity with the media, I suggested Prof. Durie for one significant reason: credentials. Dr. Durie has a Ph.D. in linguistics and is an ordained Anglican minister with a degree in theology. He can translate Arabic (see, for example, his brilliant denunciation of mandatory female genital mutilation in Keller's translation of the Umdat al-Salik), a real benefit in establishing his credentials before a Court.
Further, Dr. Durie has now been battle-hardened through the Catch the Fire Ministries prosecution in Oz, so I'd bet he'd be a good witness, composed under cross-examination.
By all means, bring Robert Spencer in as another, qualified witness. I've never met him or heard him speak, but his writings suggest a mind well suited to the rigours of Court.
Finally, retain Daniel Pipes- well-credentialed, well-spoken and implacable in the face of any opposition.
Now, that would be a defence counsel's "dream team" of expert witnesses for the defence.
Let the battle be joined. All it takes for Whitehead to succeed is money and the will to win...

CAIR Canada is just as abrassive and corrosive as CAIR USA (caircan.ca) and jumps at the chance to scream "Muslim-Bashing" or "Islamophobia" towards anyone that states the truth about Islam and in turn hurts their feelings. CAIR Canada and other Arab based groups portray themselves as victims yet the leaders have been seen at Pro-Palestinian rallies where Israeli flags are burned and placards show the "star of David" with an = sign then a swastika. On three seperate cases of a Muslim
being arrested on terrorism links the protestations looked like some sort of mass oppression and internment camp issue . The rhetoric made the nightly news quite humouruos,but now that all three Muslims were exposed for their link
to Jihadists or Al-Qaeda the same groups are claiming the three men aren't true Muslims and the media bias used this to attack Islam,of course this example gets used by CAIR Canada to push for teaching Islam in public schools.
I hope CAIR loses their charity status and
gets muzzled on their endless claims of being attacked,the "Hate-Crime" law is too vague and besides I've never met a criminal that commited
a crime because they like the victim.
If your a Muslim,get over it,lots of people go through tough times in their life and if your upset over the violence in Islam then change your faith instead of justifying terrorism as a form of protest to the Islamophobia.
One other individual that would be good would be Jamal Hasan who is from Bangladesh, familiar with CAIR and is quite aware of the goals of militant islam.

One of the best things you can do is send money to Anti-CAIR to FUND the lawsuit. Many lawsuits are simply economic wars of attrition. CAIR will be backed directly or indirectly by Islamist money. They will try to wear down and wear out their opponents by endless legal wrangling. They will also co-opt a lot of expert witnesses.

Yes, bring them all in. We have in our court system a neat thing called DISCOVERY. Pray that CAIR hits it head on and is in to deep to pull out. True islam will be exposed with DISCOVERY.
