Anti-dhimmitude in Holland? Immigrants must pass an integration examination

It will be interesting to see if this exam will try to determine if Muslims from Turkey and Morocco hope someday to institute Sharia in their new homeland. From Expatica, with thanks to Ali Dashti:

Newcomers and settled immigrants will be forced to successfully pass an integration examination to prove they have integrated into Dutch society.

The law is primarily aimed at non-EU family unification immigrants — especially those from Turkey and Morocco — who will be required to complete a basic integration test in their country of origin before arriving in the Netherlands.

The Netherlands is the first country in the world to demand permanent immigrants complete a pre-arrival integration course. US, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and Japanese nationals are exempted from the pre-arrival courses. ...

Moving on, the Cabinet agreed on 23 April that after arriving in the country, a newcomer must report back to the local council after six months to monitor their integration progress. Authorities will determine when they will be assessed again. Those who fail to report will be fined.

If the immigrant wants to be compensated for course costs, they must pass the integration exam within three years. If a newcomer has failed to integrate after five years, they will be fined.

Asylum seekers will only be obligated to integrate once they have gained their first temporary residence permit. Antilleans and Arubans will also be obliged to integrate.

A residence permit for an indefinite period can only be obtained once a foreigner has passed an integration exam.

Large political issues in Holland are the children of non-western immigrants *who already live in Holland but who are not integrated in society yet*. New immigrants can more easily be obliged to integrate in society than those who already live here. So, even with our new immigration-laws, it will not really help our society with the problems we already have.

Example: when you are a Jew, you can not walk with a "kippa" in Amsterdam, because younger arab's will probably molestate you. This situation will not improve with our new immigration-laws. We need a policy to integrate the non-integrated ones who already live here.

So, our integration-examinations are absolutely not harder or more stricted than in countries like the US or Japan. Besides that, the examinations are mostly about learning our languague. So, this article is a bit too optimistic.

At least this is something, but with the Muslim penchant for taquiyya, lying to further Islam, who can believe them when they give "the right answers?" Beware!

Too little too late

An interesting discussion about the fate of Europe:

> Desperado

Holland does not need an immigration policy.
Holland needs a deportation policy.

This is true for the entire western world.

Hey epg, I think that your "taquiyya" spelling of Taqiyya has been influenced by the the Mexican alcoholic liquor called tequila--note the extra "u". Here is an article on the subject:

Sounds like a first step to a booting out.

This was also prompted by problems with Antilleans. Many move to the Netherlands to go to school and spend all their tuition/living money the first day, fight, get drunk, etc. There was a move several years ago to help them integrate into a different culture for their own protection.

Will - typo. Sorry, but he should have got the message.

Yup, a booting out looks to be on the cards I'm afraid.

HOlland is the most densely populated nation in Europe. There is no reason for them to take another single immigrant, particularly those inclined toward jihad.

Does this mean, you can be a supporter of Bin Ladin, keep your wife(s) veiled and ignorant imprisoned at home, be a fanatic Muslim and spew hatred against Jews and the West, all while living in Holland, and if you "fail the test" you only have to pay a fine!?? The Saudis would be happy enough to pay such a fine, if only to get their agents settled everywhere in the West.

-- "The Mullahs are the Generals, and the Mosques are their military/security service headquarters. That's the reality we have to address. Islam is not a "religion" in the conventional sense, but a political-fascist social movement enduring for many hundreds of years, aiming for absolute control of the life and activities of the average person -- from their public behavior to both bedroom and bathroom behavior -- and grab power using any and every means possible. "

One of the last things a democratic country should have is a deportation policy. You simply cannot deport people, that would be against everything the western world stands for (human rights, etc). And don't forget the countries in Europe know like no other the horrors of deportations...

The reason for Holland to have strict immigration laws, is indeed because Holland has a relatively large population. But the possible jihadists are already here, therefore it's too late to tighten the immigration-laws only because of this group.

I've read that one-third of the muslim population in Holland have sympathies with fundamentalistic organisations*. That makes a total of 300.000 muslims... even when "only" 1% of this group is willing to fight for jihad, there are enough radicals to destabilize dutch society.

* one of the organisations that is a serious threat: http://www.arabeuropean.org One week ago this organisation wanted to invite Pakistan's most important muslim-leader (Qazi Hussain Ahmad) to give a speech in Holland. Though our government was able to prevent it. :-)

"...will be fined" that's exactly the problem. The government is not talking about sending them back to their home country. The integration exam is only about the basic knowledge of some 500 Dutch words and some history; no minimum school certificates needed. Holland has already lost the battle with some 450+ mosques (!) in this tiny country.

Nice example is today's vistit by the Crown Prince and his wife to eastern Turkey. First thing the 'emigrants' complained about to the prince was that their Dutch social benefits were a bit low. They spent the summer in Turkey and return to Holland to their relatives for a medical check-up...

I wish Canada had started this type of screening for the Khadr family and their ilk.
Even if 99% of Muslims are peaceful, that still
leaves 12,000,000 Jihadists that want all the enemies of Islam dead.
Sadly I believe that if the day comes where the militant wing of Islam makes inroads in Canada, the moderate Muslims will choose to support the extremists rather than die to protect Canada from this cancerous growth.

To my friends

The knowledge grows,
news spreads,
we come together,
share ideas,
Red or yellow, black or white
we are equal in this site.

We are Free, to speak,
to act, to contemplate,
so let us get busy
before it's too late.

But have great patience too,
in the hurry up and wait,
fear of life, death and fate.
Patience is a virtue we need to cultivate
so we can sow more seeds of Freedom.

Come, let us not to forget to sing and dance
and laugh and love, brave hearts take a chance.

I like your poems, Poetess.

You're right about the knowledge growing. Before 9/11 most of us were in the dark as to the true danger and evil of Islam. To me, Islam was just a weird religion where people dressed funny, prayed in mosques and didn't eat pork. Then I started trying to learn about it. To learn why people would do such evil as 9/11 & Bali.

First thing I learned is that Islam is not a Religion of Peace. It means Submission. The "Peace" thing was obviously a mistake which Islamists happily accepted since it kept the West blissfully ignorant.

Second thing I learned is that Islam is not being perverted, or misinterpreted when Islamazoids commit evil in the name of their "god". They're just following their war manual entitled the Qur'an.

Then I started reading about who this "prophet" was, and it all fell into place. It's no surprise Islam is such source of evil and hate. Their "prophet" was full of it, and used it to his advantage - to further his pan Arabic expansionism, to steal other people's wealth and to satisfy his sexual addiction.

And the good thing is that more and more people are being enlightened. I'm not the only one when amongst a group of people to have this view of Islam. Used to be when just about everyone would say "Oh it's a Religion of Peace, and it's being perverted by a few evil ones!". Less and less people are saying that now as more and more of us learn the truth. Thank you Internet!

It'll be a slow process I think. Unfortunately more lives will be lost but one day the shrill voices of the lunatic left fringe and the anti-Bush/US bunch will be drowned out by harsh reality. Their excuses, apologies and finger-pointing at Israel & the US won't be so convincing to as many.

Hats off to the Netherlands! As Phillipus Marnix van St. Aldegonde had William of Nassua say:

Mijn Schilt ende betrouwen
Sijt ghy, o Godt mijn Heer,
Op u soo wil ick bouwen
Verlaet mij nemmermeer:
Dat ick doch vroom mach blijven
V dienaer taller stondt,
Die Tyranny verdrijven,
Die my mijn hert doorwondt

Sorry, Taranis. The left runs the information and knowledge industries in the United States. That means that now, the Democratic Party can subvert things during a war that began when American civilians and law-abiding alien residents/visitors were targeted and killed on American soil--showing that national security has degenerated to a game of domestic politics. However, it also means that when Queen Hillary Tha First is on her throne, anyone who says Islam isn't a religion of peace will be jailed for "hate speech".

Oooh, Kepha, stop it, you're scaring me! Yikes! :-) But you're definitely not too far off the mark there. Yes, the left runs the media, and domestic security is so politicized (which is what would help a future attack). But I'm hoping you're wrong about the Queen Hillary bit. Now that's a truly terrifying thought. Think she'll mandate the burka as mandatory dress for women too?

Will the examination include essay questions on Qur'an 9:29, and other relevant passages? What about a question on Aisha, and the significance, for modern Muslims, of Muhammad having sexual intercourse with her when she was nine? What about a question on Muslim treaties with non-Muslim states? Or are the questions not to weed out the "moderates" from the others, but only to see if people are willing to forego, or willing to say they will forego, the hijab?

As for the extreme reluctance to consider expulsion, the Czechs had no difficulty in 1946 expelling 3 million ethnic Germans from the Sudetenland, because recent events had taught them that such people were a mortal threat to Czech survival. The expulsion (there were others in Poland and elsewhere of ethnic Germans) brought no criticism to Masaryk and Benes, and no one, except German revanchists, believes that that measure should be undone. The ethnic Germans in question were not all guilty of supporting HItler (though many were -- and in this connection it is amusing to recall Margaret Bourke-White's photograph of the aged parents of Henlein, the Nazi and Sudeten leader, seeming to be an inoffensive couple in their gemutlich home); Germans had been living in the area for 600 years. But given history, given the two world wars and German aggression, no one thought the Czechs were behaving unreasonably.

How much more evidence is there -- not two world wars but 1350 years of Muslim conquest and attempted conquest, and the wholesale destruction of ancient civilizations (for what has been lost, go to the Metropolitan exhibit on Byzantium, and try to imagine the ancient Christian centers in Syria and Mesopotamia -- say, the riches of Edessa)-- to justify fear, not by Czechoslovakia but by the entire Western world, of what Islamic demographic conquest would mean. We have every right to protect ourselves. If some of our elites have been foolish enough to mislead themselves and us (and imagine if you were living in France today, having to live as you do, and yet hearing the prating of that preening poseur Dominique de Villepin, moving heaven and earth just to expel a single imam, when ten thousand others need expulsion), that is no reason to be reluctant to take measures of self-defense. And that begins with an understanding that the loyalty oath that the Western nation-state demands cannot be taken, by any true Muslim, without committing perjury, for in Islam all loyalty must remain exclusively that of the umma al-islamiyya, to one's fellow Muslims, the collective of the world's Muslims. This is not a fantasy. This is doctrine. What do those who deny this doctrine rely on by way of supporting texts? Mere expressions of horror when such matters are raised, as if this simply isn't done by people of good taste, are foolish, and ineffective. Too much has happened, too much has been learned. too much is now well understood, despite the best efforts of many to pretend that the problem is just a "handful of extremists." Basta. Treve de betises. Cut it out. Start talking sense.

I agree with desperado. This intergration exam means almost nothing.
