BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S.-led forces in Iraq are holding two people suspected of possible involvement in the kidnap and beheading of American Nicholas Berg earlier this month, the U.S. military said on Friday. Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt, a spokesman for the forces, told a news conference four people had been detained in a raid in Baghdad two days ago and two had subsequently been released. Of the other two, he said: "We may find out that they have no association with the murder."
AP spoke to an anonymous Iraqi official who said the group that killed Berg was led by a relative of Saddam Hussein.
The group that was involved in the killing of Berg was led by Yasser al-Sabawi, a nephew of Saddam Hussein, the Iraqi security official said. He said American intelligence had asked Iraqi authorities to hand over the suspects, but they were still in Iraqi hands.Al-Sabawi was not among those arrested, the Iraqi official said.

There was a parable from teh New Testament, where Jesus Christ is credited with saying, "Let he who is without guilt cast the first stone."
What he apparently meant by that was that people should not make judgements when they may commited crimes themselves.

The most important weapon that God gave to man was his brain and the ability to reason.
When are you going to stop playing the victim card of being Muslim and address the real problem, which is the ideology of Islam?
A long, long time ago, there were tribes, these tribes were nomandic in nature, they moved from place to place and not being very intelligent, they creatated stories to explain the things they did not understand, such as Haley's comet, tornados, earthquakes, snow in the middle east.
These tribes would look to the leader for an explanation and of course the stories would be that these miraculous things had happened because the leader was blessed.
So, the tribe had to expand out of the area because of lack of food, lack of child bearing woman and of course the need for power and wealth.
The best way to get the tribe to follow was to create more miracles and of course the message from God that ordered them to go and kill everyone they came into contact with.
And to control the growing tribe, God told this leader that all must submit to his will.
So, then rules were made which everyone had to follow and if anyone should dare to question, well DEATH to that person!! Because we can't have anyone running around with an independent thought, they might just figure out that the leader was a big fraud.
Also, if anyone should examine too closely the beliefs of the people that were subdued, the stories of their relgion were pretty much the same, only older and in a different location.
Now, we fast forward 1400 years, don't you think it's time to come out of the fairy tales that were created for the sol purpose of controling the masses, to get power and wealth?
Use your brain. The Quran doesn't even make sense in this time and age.
And do you really believe for one second that God ever intended for man to enslave man? In any form?
Again, if that was his intention, why did we get a functioning brain with the ability to reason?
It was so we could question and grow out of the tribes, to learn and explore the universe around us and to be more than a shell with no thought of anything other than murderous conversion of the other tribes around us.
So, no, it's not a war against Muslims, it's a war against the ideology of a group of people that refuse to let go of the myths that should have been abandoned during the time of Enlightenment.
It's a war that was thrust upon the rest of the world because we refuse and will always refuse to allow a small group of backward tribes to subjugate our minds, bodies and souls back to a murderous dark age.

I guess it could quite easily be a translation error, which is not all that uncommon in texts that have run through as many languages as the New Testament has. Just like the whole Bible makes a lot more sense (especially the Old Testament) when it the commandment is correctly interpreted as "thou shall not murder," instead of the ubiquitous but incorrect “thou shall not kill.”
I know how hard translations can be. I once worked on a project involving The Mabinogion, an ancient Celtic tale that predates the legend of Beowulf and King Arthur, and seems to have first existed in a written form over a thousand years ago. The oral history may go back to the dawn of man on the British Isles. No one knows for certain.
When I was working on that I ran across no less than nine languages, including various editions of the same language, such as early, middle and late English.
The Bible predates that for a thousand years, so if a word seems suspect here or there, I wouldn’t be very much surprised, at all.

One (more than one?) of the Greek ships that got lost after leaving Troy, carried Greeks of Danaan tribe. I've always wondered if there was a connection... but so far have not found much material on the matter.

Susan B was right on about the origins of Islam but wrong about the meek. That would be the meek in spirit meaning those who forgo worldly gain and humble themselves before God and his salvation. The scripture says there will come a time when his people will inherit the earth.

I agree that allah is satan and Mohommaad or whatever is satan's big demon muslum to spread word of satans terror on human beings around the earth. But we should leave the real God creator of ALL out of these debates for He gave all of us our own free will to do and feel the way we choose even though He has hope for us all to open our eyes and see this, God knows most of humans will be decieved by the temptations of satan. Meek in the NT Greek is prau>paqiva and means 1. mildness of disposition, gentleness of spirit.
Even Jesus is discribed as having a meek spirit (Matthew 11:29) and He sure was the opposite of weak by anyone calculations...

wow, and some people tell me that muslims are violent and degrade other people's religion. when i look at the comments on this wesbite. i feel that hard to believe- all the muslims are simply defending their religion. doesnt the american constitution give them the right of free speech? why are you all attacking them? they have as much of a right to speak as you all do; no need to tell them to stop preaching, they can do what they want.
Meek is a rather poor translation. 'Willing to learn' or 'thoughtful' would be better. In any case, the senseless and thoughtless WILL NOT inherit the earth.
