Germany's Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BFV), one of three national intelligence services in Germany that is charged with gathering information on domestic as well as foreign extremist and terror groups active on home soil, stressed on Monday that Islamic terrorism posed the biggest security threat in Germany.Presenting the annual domestic security report 2003 in Berlin, German Interior Minister Otto Schily said, "Unfortunately we still face diverse dangers in Germany of which Islamic terrorism and Islamic extremism form the focal point."
Schily added that recent terrorist attacks such as the ones in Madrid in March this year that killed almost 200 people targeted so-called soft targets worldwide."We can't assume that Germany lies outside the reach of such targets," Schily warned, saying that in the eyes of Islamic terrorists Germany counted as an ally of the United States and Israel and was also actively involved in the war against terrorism through its peacekeeping deployment in Afghanistan.

Following a German court's decision to release him from prison, suspected Islamic fundamentalist Mounir el Motassadeq has sued for the right to study in Hamburg. Motassadeq, 30, a former electronics student at the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison in February 2003 after a court found him guilty of helping the Hamburg cell that planned the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The Moroccan native was granted a limited release from prison on April 7, 2004, a short while after a high German court ruled he was eligible for a retrial. The university denied his application to continue his studies after he left jail in April. They said they doubted his "peaceful disposition."
This report must be immediately dismissed because it could upset the Muslims.

Probably not, since they DO have troops in Afghanistan.
I read a brief story earlier today indicating that German legal officers have instructed their troops not to take any prisoners in Afghanistan, for fear that they will have to turn them over to US forces.
I guess that settles any questions as to how seriously the Germans take their mission there.
The Germans were the ones that are part of the force in Kosovo, or some place that was in the headlines recently, where the muslims were burning Christian churches. A German investigation showed that the German soldiers all went back to their barricks instead of stopping the muslim riots.
Then on the other hand they say that they are two broke to afford military participation.
Maybe they should stop the immigration and welfare that they are delving out and take care of their own people and then they can afford military participation.

The one good thing that Germany as going for it is the near impossibility of obtaining German citizenship. You can be living there for generations and you are still merely a "guest worker" who can be deported back to your native country without too much trouble if you are found to be a serious threat to Germany's security. Although I imagine it drives the local socialists in Germany crazy whenever some of the radicals are deported.
Too bad they recently let a 9/11 terrorist plotter go. Now that there are indications that they have recognised the threat, they need to act on it and fast.
Hopefully they will put Islam on a cult status like they did the Scientologist. When your religion is on that status they put your denomination on your drivers license.
Rest asure the Muslims are mingling with the facist elements in Germany. The government has a good eye on them and will also see the jihadist enter into that picture.
