Here's one for all those advocates of theological equivalence, or the idea that Christianity and other religions are just as much capable of inspiring violence and fanaticism as is Islam.
No, no, thank you, I've heard of the Crusades. Haven't heard of one lately, though. Anyway, this is not to say that Christians have never done anything evil -- far from it. But those who bring up the Crusades in connection with modern-day Islamic jihad terrorism are simply trying to divert attention from the fact that only Islam among all the world's religions has a developed doctrine, theology, and law mandating violence against unbelievers.
I keep insisting on this point because this is the basis on which radical Muslims recruit and motivate terrorists today. Until this is recognized and dealt with, that recruitment will continue.

The ex-Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Carey, was condemning the execution this morning, but he couldn't forebear mentioning the Crusades as something Muslims hold against us. After all, they were only 900 years ago.
Mentioning the Crusades as something similar to Muslim terrorism today is a lesson in itself: Islamic fundamentalists are 900 years outdated in civilization, values, human rights, decency and respect for human dignity.
Wasn't the Crusades started in response to Islam's expansion?? i.e. the invation of Europe??
Another point about the Crusades: nary a mention is every heard of the Musilm Crusades, even the two in the Middle East: one before and one after the Christian Crusades. Then there is the Muslim Crusade of North Africa and the Muslim Crusade of India, and the Muslim Crusade of Southeast Asia.
Imagine a world with no Gandhi, no Mother Theresa, no Hinduism, no Hare Krishnas, no Jains, no Nepal. No Tibetan Buddhism (or does anyone really believe that a Muslim-controlled India would give the Dalai Lama safe refuge?) Or to put it another way, imagine if there weren't just 120 million Pakistanis, but 1.2 BILLION... i.e., instead of 1.2 billion Muslims comprising 20% of the world population, imagine that 2.2 billion Muslims comprised 33%.

If not for the Christian Crusade and the Muslim inconvenience of having to fight back, the Mogals would have taken ALL of India, instead of half of it. You want to read about genocide, ethnicide, ethnic cleansing, rape, slavery, mass murder, crusades, and war? Read up on what Islam did in India.
This is made all the more sickening with whines from every corner of the world of "oppression" and claims of genocide, etc.

Yes, in a way they were. The crusades play a very important role in islamist ideology as the start of the first jihad which only happened, of course in selfdefence against the evil west. What islamists never mention when the subject comes up is that muslims raped, murdered and conquered their way through southern europe for 400 years BEFORE the

Yes Christians have committed horrible acts, however, they can NOT absolve their actions by saying they are following Jesus Christ's example or teachings in the New Testament.
Followers of Islam, on the other hand, justify their acts violence by stating they are obeying Allah & following the teachings and examples of Mohammed. And they use the Qur’an & Hadith to back up their actions.
There has always been a few whakos who use god and their religion to justify whatever it is that they do. BUT, I do not think you could find the number of true psychopaths in any other religion other than Islam who really believe that their god condones their actions. I can’t imagine a group of Christians saying “Amen” and “Jesus loves you” while one of them cut the head off of another living human. These people are seriously sick.
I'm not sure what all to fuss is about, we all know what's happening, the green fanatics are on a mission and have been for centuries. We the Serb's did our work well to "control" this problem, using the same tactics they use. We've been fighting the Ottoman's for over 600 years what the "WORLD" seems to be concerned about now, is "Old News" to us. The bottom line is, it doesn't matter what they "say", or "do", they are must be and are going to be stopped. The Serbs didn't get their chance this time, we're waiting, that day will come.
