Let's hope there is some follow-up to this curious story.
KABUL (Reuters) - Two foreign men, one Swiss, were stabbed and stoned to death in the Afghan capital, government officials said Sunday."There were various injuries you could see on the head caused by stones and bricks," said Ihsanullah Alimi, a doctor involved in the post-mortem.
"And there are also stab injuries on the head. And on one body, a rope seemed to have been tightened on the neck."
The bodies, clothed in local shalwar (baggy trousers), long shirts and woolen hats when found, were being examined by forensic experts.
Local residents informed police and led them to the bodies in Baghe Chilstone, an ancient garden not far from the city's center, Interior Ministry spokesman Lutfullah Mashal, told Reuters.
An investigation was under way to determine "who stoned these to death, and why," Mashal said. "One of them holds a Swiss passport and the nationality of the other is not known."
Both had come from neighboring Pakistan nine days ago, said Khalil Aminzada, deputy chief of Kabul police. He said they were pelted with bricks and stones last night.
A local official at the Swiss embassy in Kabul said Swiss diplomats were informed about the deaths and were seeking more details from the authorities.
Stoning to death is a punishment proposed by Islam for adulterers. The practice was publicly administered by the ousted Taliban who ruled Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001 when a U.S.-led military campaign overthrew the radical regime.

The first thing I thought of is, "oh, were these gay men travelling through Afghanistan?" but I guess Afghan tourism is down.
Birds in Kabul fly with one wing. The Taliban made sure they flew with two. Here they are ensuring the same as brutally as possible. Arab outrage? Don't hold your breath.

You dont deserve your nick. How is a stoning incidence in any way related to Islam. Mention in the quran any verse which states that white people should be stoned. If these people raped virgins in Afghanistan, then it is Islam related. Otherwise just shut up.

When I was ignorant of actual Islamic teaching I would have agreed with much of this site and its purpose. However, I am no longer ignorant and now see more clearly. Word of advice to start. Never learn about Christianity from a Jew, nor Judaism from a Christian, nor a religion from someone secular, nor ISLAM FROM A NON-MUSLIM. Learn Islam from a knowledgable practicing Muslim, in person where you can ask questions and clarify misconceptions.
The best way to watch Jihad is to become Muslim. Frankly, this site has no clue what jihad really is or why a jihad can be personal, societal or miitary. I can wage a "Jihad" against my addiction to alcohol in order to quit once and for all. I can wage a "Jihad" against society to educate people in matters of justice and religion. This email is part of this Jihad, for example, but I am not killing any of you am I?. Another instance, in Islamic terms USA is now waging a "jihad" (a struggle) militarily and ideologically against those who wage the same Jihad against it. Just because Islamic groups misrepresent Jihad doesnt mean that Jihad is bad. In fact, Jihad is good if practiced according to Islamic Law. However, since 1929 when the british dismantled the Islamic central leadership in Turkey such issue became open to widespread corruption in the Islamic world. The US waged a military "Jihad" against Japan and Germany in WWII.
Jihad has specific rule and regulations that most "Jihadi" groups violate thus taking them out of the bounds of Islam itself. If a true Jihad is waged according to Islamic Law, whether on the self, in society or militarily, even the non-Muslim would say it is Just. However, no such thing is happening today, largely because governments continue to assassinate and jail Islamic leaders, thus leaving ignorant Muslims to interpret Islamic Law in the most vile ways. This is the fault of the West and a major reason why the West is hated in the Muslim world. We (westerners) support the killing, jailing and dumbing down of Muslim leaders and the instillation of the most brutal regimes that oppress Muslims.
This is not new for us though. The US has done this all throughout Central and South America. Thus, even Christians in those countries are wagining "Jihad" against US atrocities in their countries.
Furthermore, in the time since the Crusades against jews and Muslims, Spanish Inquisitions against Jews and Muslims, WWI and WWII, Nagasaki and Hiroshima, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq and many others, NOT A SINGLE ISLAMIC JIHAD (PAST OR PRESENT COMBINED) HAS EVER CLAIMED THE LIVES OF SO MANY PEOPLE AS THE CHRISTIAN DOMINATED WEST!!! And you call Islam violent.
