Al-Jazeera airs video of 3 Italian hostages

This article makes reference to the beheading of an Italian hostage in April -- more confirmation that this is an accepted pattern of behavior among the mujahedin. From CNN, with thanks to RAdams:

BAGHDAD , Iraq -- The Arabic-language television network Al-Jazeera showed video Wednesday of three Italian hostages taken captive in Iraq nearly two months ago. In the video, one of the men said the captors were treating them "excellently."

It marked the first time in more than a month the world has seen pictures of the hostages.

The three, all unshaven, were shown sitting around a table eating with spoons from a communal plate and talking among themselves. Another shot showed the three sitting in chairs. One identified himself as Salvatore Stefio.

"Today is May 31, 2004, Monday," he said on the video. "This statement we are giving is primarily directed to official Italian authorities, to the government, the holy pope, to the Catholic Church and to our families. They are treating us excellently up until now. We are in excellent conditions. We have not had any problems with the people holding us in this place."

The three hostages were among four Italians taken captive in Iraq on April 12. The other hostage was beheaded soon afterward -- a video that was given to Al-Jazeera at the time but never aired.

One of the most important questions facing America and the Southwest is: Are Mexicans Italians? Italians were the last immigrant group to come to America under antagonism and suspicion. Prejudice was palpable, discrimination widespread, intergroup relations difficult. The Italians of 100 years ago, like the Mexican immigrants today, had poor graduation rates, high dropout rates, higher crime rates, fewer college graduates per capita and fewer professionals. It seemed for a time that Italians would be a permanent underclass of blue-collar workers.
But the Italians, while they took longer to succeed in the traditional ways, took on the educational and success patterns of the majority community, and now they equal or exceed the performance of the majority community. They are among the proudest Americans, with family income and professional status higher than the national average. Took longer, but succeeded brilliantly. So, are Mexicans Italians?

Another example of how Muslims lie constantly (even to each other if suits their ideological objectives):

"At a recent lecture in Santa Cruz, Muslim groups put up posters saying that I claim that the Qu'ran says bad things about Jews. In fact this was a gross misrepresentation of facts: I admit that the Qur'an has verses that are polemic, but my view is that the Qur'an in fact respects the Jews (which explains Moses being so often mentioned)...but that it is the oral traditions of Islam (the hadith) that demonizes the Jews. For many Muslims, this is a hard pill to swallow because for almost 12 centuries, they have been taught that acceptance of oral traditions are a creedal element of Islam.

Often, they try to argue with selective quotes from the Qur'an--and here they lose out, because when it comes to exegesis, I have spent years studying that. And then there is the "challenge" aspect...at Santa Cruz they said that they wanted to debate. I agreed on one condition: that such debate be in public. They did not show up. In fact, the few Muslims who were present and had the patience to listen to me, could not find how I had misinterpreted or misrepresented Islam.

In Montreal, I was accused of being racist when I said that 95% of contemporary Muslims are exposed to anti-Semitic teachings. My answer, which the Montreal Gazette refused to print, was that every Muslim had to answer a simple question. Honestly. What is the interpretation of the final two verses of the first chapter of the Quran? "Guide us to the straight path--the path of those upon whom you have bestowed your bounty, not those who have incurred your wrath, nor those who are astray."

This verse has nothing about Jews or Christians...yet, almost every person learns that those who have incurred divine wrath are the Jews, and those who are astray are Christians. What is more problematic is that the average person learns this chapter and its interpretation between the ages of 5-8. And we know that things learned at this stage of life become ingrained, almost to the point of being in one's DNA, if I may put it that way.

I felt that my answer was self-evident. Do you know what the result was? Some of my closest colleagues DENIED that they had been taught this. This was more painful to me than the rejection of some Muslim leaders--for I always ask that if we deny things publicly, at least in private we admit the truth. And when in privacy, my fellow Muslims could not bring themselves to admit that which was obvious to anyone, that was in itself testimony as to how low we have sunk."

I love how he says,"...I always ask that if we deny things publicly, at least in private we admit the truth." These people are so sick psychologically that it almost staggers the imagination. You would really have to grab every Muslim child at birth from their parents and educate them in a different environment to have them turn out differently. The social pressure to conform to the cult is so strong that you would have to be incredibly strong emotionally and psychologically to break free of the cult - as is amply demonstrated by the few public Muslim apostates of which we are aware. The people who break free of the cult are incredibly strong individuals. Look at the example on Dhimmiwatch of Ayaan Hirsi Ali. She is one tough lady! I don't know what the solution is. We can't put the whole Muslim world in deprogramming classes.

Mentat~ You have me very interested in hearing more of your story in these matters. Do you have a website?

Not yet Gary. Not yet. Give me time.

I came up with this bright idea how to capture the terrorist..follow Al-Jezzera..they will lead us to them.

beers, that is just insanely simple enough to work.

The communiques about the Italian prisoners, and about demands made on the Italian government, the people of Italy, the Catholic Church, and so on, are couched in an Italian that, according to Magdi Allam, the Egyptian-born commentator on Islam who tells the truth about the subject, and who appears often on Italian television and in the pages of the Corriere della Sera, is simply too perfect, and too full of allusions to specific events in Italian political life, for there not to be Italian Muslims involved. Allam points out in his writings and in "Kamikaze Made In Europe (Riusicra L'Occident a Sconfiggere I Terroristi Islamici)" that a new second generation of Muslims, born in Europe, have been made even more militant than their parents, and are likely to be much more difficult to track.

It will be interesting to see if these three Italian prisoners are released and, if so, if they have any information as to the nature of those holding them. The quality of the messages coming out is simply beyond that of which Muslims raised outside the West are capable.

Don't worry, the mob will bail them out.
