According to the police, the assailant yelled "Allahu Akbar" ("God is Great" in Arabic) before attacking the student and fleeing the scene. A local television station reported that the assailant was apparently of North African or Pakistani descent. ...The latest incident marks the second attack on a French Jew within a week. On Sunday, a 17 year-old rabbi's son was also attacked in a Paris suburb. The teen was beaten up by a group of youngsters who also hurled anti-Semitic insults at him.
Data released by France's Interior Ministry revealed that 67 anti-Semitic attacks were reported during the first quarter of 2004, a 60% jump compared to the same period last year. The data indicated that Arab youngsters were behind most of the incidents.

Actually when I was in Ulpan (Hebrew language classes) a good chunk of my ulpan was French, mostly young recent imigrants. Other big groups were from the Former Soviet Union and South America.
This Muslim should be caught and he and his Family and Mosque should be punished. Severely Punished. Stripped of all goods, stripped of citizenship, His name and shame should be broadcast through out the civilized world so that he and his family could never again live in peace anywhere but the Middle East. His mosque should be closely monitored for any hate mongering and closed if it persists.
There is a big difference between being from the Middle East and being a Muslim terrorist and I'm afraid to say that many don't recognize it. There are thousands of Iranians who leave Islam everyday in Iran and there are many Iranians who campaign for an Iran free from Islam. The Jews should leave France (wouldnt be my personal choice of residence..but to each his own) if they WANT to leave...they shouldnt be forced out by muslim thugs...hasnt this happened enough. It is the muslims that cannot and will not integrate themselves peacefully into any society...they should be the ones forced to uproot themselves and leave France. Of course Israel is the rightful home of the Jewish people but for those that have built families and lives elsewhere in the world they should be allowed to live in peace...there are many Jewish people that live in my community, I have found them to be lovely people...I think it is a horrible shame that there is anti-semitism...words are bad enough, but when people are being physically assaulted it is time to start making those that are responsible pay the price...be that jail time or loss of citizenship and deportation...if those responsible are minors..then the parents should be held criminaly and financially responsible...seems that no one is being held responsible right now.

Isn't it queer that all these people who go around screaming against "Zionists" go after Jews living in diaspora countries like France, America, Tunisia, etc.? Poor kid. Imagine hearing that your son had been attacked like this coming out of school of all places. Not like he was hanging around in a dodgy part of town at 2 a.m. Our kids aren't even safe from these brainwashed lunatics. Poor France, stuck with millions of this mob. They don't seem to care that the Jewish people will be useful contributors to society 99% of the time versus the Muslim hordes with their high unemployment and crime rates, and high welfare dependency.
