We see him actively supporting the Arabists, terrorists, dictators and theocrats... what chance does the squall of suffering humanity have for survival with him around?

I got asked in an email from one of the expanded listserv members, Leslie Owens of Pensacola, Florida questioning why I and a number of others, Phyllis Chesler, Alyssa Lappin, Michael Skakun and Jack Lauber ( Americans for a Safe Israel) were going to the UN conference on Antisemitism on Monday, June 21st at the headquarters on thre east side of Manhattan. I had suggested earlier that it might be to draw the link between virulent Islamist antisemtiism and jihadism and Jew hatred, but also genocide in the Sudan. After all, Jihadism- the equivalent of Nazi fascism- in the 21st century hates and kills Jews, whether in Israel, Iraq or Pakistan, Paris and New York in equal measure but on a far vaster scale it slaughters millions of black Muslim, Christian and animist peoples in the war torn Sudan.

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan announced yesterday that he thought that what was going on in the Sudan was not yet ethnic cleansing and genocide but rather "a terrible humanitarian tragedy." This is meretrecious skirting of the evident problem, at best. As indicated in Bob Spencer's posting this morning on Jihad Watch and as reflected in the letter I sent to the NYTimes and, as Dr. Charles Jacobs of the American Anti-slavery Group has stated in his speech at a protest rally before Harvard's commencement last week, that Jihadism was the root cause of the slaughter and looming genocide in the Sudan.

Many of us are prepared to draw that connection. We also hope that the world's conscience and Shoah survivor icon, Noble Prize winner, Elie Weisel will ring that hall with a jeremiad to rouse Kofi Annan and UN Security council members out of their "sleep" and into action.

If not, then several of us who will be in attendance are prepared to do that.

Nicholas Kristof's trenchent commentary " Dare we call it Genocide , June 16th," makes the case for racial genocide in the Islamist war against Black Muslims in the Darfur region.

The issue of looming Sudan genocide cuts across the racial, religious, political and ideological divide in the US and has seared our collective conscience.

Witness the protest held in solidarity with Sudanese emigres in Cambridge, Massachusetts last week on the eve of Harvard's commencement and a speech by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. A Kofi Anan who gave short shrift in his address to the risible prospect of Genocide in the Sudan perpetrated by Islamist overlords in Khartoum and their Arab janjaweed militias desytroying and sweeping all before them. Among the speakers at the protest rally were Dr. Gloria Hammond, a noted Afro American Clergywoman, heroic Reverend Walter Flauntroy, former District of Columbia Congressional representative and founder of the Congressional Black Caucus, who chained himself to the door of the Sudan embassy in Washington to draw attention to the slaughter, Drs. John Eibner of Christian Solidarity and Charles Jacobs of the American Anti-slavery Group. On the platform was former Sudanese slave, Francis Bok.

Dr. Jacobs in his remarks at the protest rally took UN Secretary General Kofi Anan to task and put his finger on the real cause of Sudanese genocide: "jihadism." "Kofi Anan never once said that the war is a Jihad. Its is not diplomatric to say it....but it's the truth." Perhaps Mr. Kristof can report on that in his next series of dispatches from the field in war torn Sudan.

The Sudanese civil war has generated a vast amount of propaganda and disinformation. The intervention in Sudan by foreign powers, especially the United States, and by civil groups with partisan religious and political motivations, has exacerbated and prolonged a tragic conflict by the deliberate and cynical manufacture of blatantly manufactured distortions, lies and hoaxes.

"The treaty we signed says a lot about nuclear arms. It speaks about the need for peace," Bush told a packed auditorium Saturday at St. Petersburg University.
"But it also says the Cold War is over. And America and Russia need to be and will be friends for the good of the world."

The atrocities by Muslims in the North against the Christians and Animists in the South in Sudan are well documented including video tapes of the victims...and not just by the "Jewish controlled" media. I have received a letter from a Sudanese man and his family in the South who I know. The Muslims came in and destroyed all their homes and they were living and sleeping out in the open.

Muslims kidnap Christian boys even little kindergarteners and bring them north and put them into Muslim brainwashing camps beating them with sticks if they refuse to recite the Muslim unholy book. Some Christian boys were running from Muslims and they set a field on fire that they were in and burned them to death...these were elementary school age children. One survived and is being cared for by Christians...his story and and horrific burns are documented. Sudan is jihad period.

Islam is a cult of death for both Muslims and non-Muslims. The Muslims keep the Palestinians in abject poverty for political purposes. Effective intervention in klf the Sudan? It won't, and it can't come from the U.N. -- ask Gaspar Biro, the Hungarian Special Rapporteur on the Sudan. For any real action would inhibit the freedom of the Muslim Arabs to do what they wish with the southern non-Muslims, or even the non-Arab Muslims of Darfur (remember that in Islam, the Arabs are, for all of the guff about the "equality of all Believers within the umma," superior, for the Qur'an was "given to them, and in their language." A Muslim should read the Qur'an, and know at least certain phrases by heart, in Arabic; no other language will do. Why do so many Pakistanis flaunt false lineages, those omnipresent "Saids" or "Sayeeds" -- a name that indicates descent from Muhammad himself? Half of Pakistan must be descended from the polyphiloprogenitive Muhammad.

Only once, and only for a very specific reason, has the U.N. ever endorsed a measure against an Islamic country. And that was after Iraq invaded one Muslim country, Kuwait, and threatened to invade another Muslim country, Saudi Arabia. Only because powerful Muslim states felt themselves threatened were they willing to drop their usual opposition, and permit such a resolution to pass. But Muslim states do not merely not deplore, they are quite content with, the continuing massacres of non-Muslims and non-Arabs in the Sudan. If they had their druthers, there would be no non-Muslims or non-Arabs left in the Sudan. And then they would push further south: next stop, Ethiopia (despite the fact that in 615, when 83 followers of Muhammad and their families found refuge in Ethiopia, thereby entitling that Christian kingdom to special treatment as dar al-sulh, in the Muslim scheme of things). And then Kenya, Tanzaniya, Mozambique (mysterious Mozambique, where in Maputo, quondam Lourenco Marques, not only was Heinz Kerry born into the colonialist Portuguese ruling elite, but so too was the unforgettable singler Al Bowlly, killed by a German bomb while out for a walk on Jermyn Street, in 1941).

The U.N. do something serious in the Sudan? Never, never, never, never, never. Nothing can come of nothing. Think again.

One PRIME motivation for the founding the UNO in 1945 was to prevent future genocides. Today, the UN, profoundly corrupted, co-opted and thoroughly compromised by a syndicate of many of the most sinister forces on Earth - lodged deep in its core and machinating feverishly, fully unimpeded, in every individual cell of its organs - will never bring itself to cope efficaciously with the contemporary genocide in Darfur. (In addition, infamously, it has been impotent in halting the campaigns of racist mayhem in Rwanda, Bosnia, Congo, ad nauseum.)

Instead, the UN’s scurrying to avoid ever having to articulate and admit the true CAUSE of the mass-murder ongoing there - specifically, Jihadism - as doing so would abruptly reveal the faces and agendas of the dark powers within it, who’ve been manipulating it, incrementally, over the last three decades, exposing the glaring hypocrisy and the gross putrefaction raddling all of its vitals, perverting and paralyzing it, rendering it utterly meaningless, a waste of space.

At this juncture, the degraded UN’s got itself into a highly precarious spot: it’s running in a funk of anything that could be perceived as the dreaded “straw to break the camel’s back” - one “sensitive” item, which, if added to its litany of chronic, accumulated scandals, could blow it wide open, broadly show it up in all its perfidy and ruin all of its officials’ and apparatchiks’ perquisites - plus dash the insidious influence of their malicious, international sponsors, carefully husbanded by them and their stooges during the previous 30-35 years.

This grotesquely distorted, totally counter-productive, dissipated UN doesn’t view genocide in the Sudan as any of its business whatsoever, it doesn’t count; the sole genocide of interest to its current, evil puppet-masters is the one they plan for the people of Israel.

Saladin is in massive denial about the war that Arab Islam has been waging off and on black Africans for centuries. They want non-Westerners out of the Arabian peninsula, but have no problem spreading their message and population on the African continent for centuries.

I'm not for scrapping the UN. It's great as a forum for all its member states. The problem with it is that people try to use it as a universal moral authority or world government--functions for which it is clearly unfit.

Franze, I like your suggestion about a world organization of democratic states. Immanuel Kant's _Perpetual Peace_ envisioned a conert of free republics as a way to prevent the dynastic wars of 18th century Europe. I would like to think that Kant was on to something, although the American Civil War and a few others show that democratic societies can and do fight. But if such an org. were to see the light of day, would Taiwan be allowed to join?
