Thousands of Iranians ready for suicide raids against Israel, Americans ... and Salman Rushdie

Some people just never know when to let go. But note the large numbers. Why would 10,000 people sign up? Don't they know the Qur'an forbids suicide? Yes, I ask that every time a story like this appears, but it is really the only important question: it illustrates the hollowness and disingenuousness of the American Muslim advocacy groups' response to Islamic terrorism. From Reuters, with thanks to Peter Rockas:

"Some 10,000 people have registered their names to carry out martyrdom operations on our defined targets," said Mohammad Ali Samadi, a spokesman for the Committee for the Commemoration of Martyrs of the Global Islamic Campaign.

But he said the group would need the green light from Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to launch the attacks.

The independent group said it started to register Iranian men and women prepared to carry out the attacks after Friday prayers last week and sent forms to religious universities.

"Our targets are mainly the occupying American and British forces in the holy Iraqi cities, all the Zionists in Palestine, and Salman Rushdie," he said on Saturday.

"It is not our fault that the Zionists have brought their wives and children to the occupied territories and have turned them into shields for themselves," he added, when asked about the killing of civilians.

"Salman Rushdie is the only non-military target for us, because we believe his attack against Islam was much worse that a military assault," the spokesman said.

Hardline cleric Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati urged worshippers at Friday prayers in Tehran to attack U.S. and British interests.

"It is the duty of every Muslim to threaten U.S. and British interests anywhere," he said.

What a disgrace Ahmad Jannati is. How anybody could think that he is religious is beyond me.

Cary

Ahmad Jannati is an illiterate idiot mullah like Khomeini. I've written before that these idiot Muslims are only a tiny fraction of Iranian people who are called pasdaran or basiji (Islamic militia) and it is only a propaganda. The regime has failed in every aspect and that is a noise only. They are not going to do anything against British troops because Britain and Jack Straw, British Foreign Secratry, and the BBC have been the best friends of the regime of mullahs in the past 25 years. One day Britain must take responsibility for supporting this terrorist regime and consequenly supporting terrorism.
B. A.

Another example of immoral Muslim clerical power that can call for hit squads of homicide bombers, raise militias, and keep hundreds and millions of people enthralled through the issuing of a few words in a simple fatwa and expect to be obeyed "in the name of Allah."

The Prophet was the first of the power mongers. His example is opposed to that of Jesus Christ, his exact opposite, who called for peace rather than murder, war, bloodshed, slavery, and death.

As a simle fatwa is a call to commit murder, and Muslims feel obligated to obey, is it much of a leap to conclude that every Muslim is a potential sucide bomber?

I think believing these reports and numbers is a big error. The Muslims lie without remorse. Look at the statements of the Taliban and Bhagdad Bob...

Let the World up the immediate personal penalty on Suicide Bombers and their families and the countries/Mosques that send them. This is the only way we will stem this method of warfare.

Rushdie, again? I thought hed been cleared of this Fatwah. Why ask why?

It would be useful if the studies of Mary Boyce and other scholars of Zoroastrianism could be translated into Farsi, and distributed widely to Iranian groups, and made available on the Internet.

The distaste for the Iranian regime, founded by that thoroughly-learned Shi'a theologian Ayatollah Khomeini, with his declared hatred for Infidels (see the speech by him, reproduced on p. 11 of Ibn Warraq's Why I Am Not a Muslim), his hatred for humor, and his advice to the Shi'a lovelorn that while it is, of course, permissible for the faithful to have intercourse with a sheep, a camel, a goat, as long as, once one has slit the throat of the animal afterwards, one does not serve the meat to one's own family or one's immediate neighbors -- however, it may be eaten by residents of a nearby village. Waste not, want not.

Isn't it time for the Iranians who are not ready to give the religion of their ancestors -- Zoroastrianism -- a try? Whatever the precise doctrines of Zoroastrianism (and as Zarathustra has not spoken to me, I'm in no position to say), really is irrelevant. It is not Islam; it predates Islam; it was more or less suppressed and almost entirely destroyed by Islam; it could be taken as a symbol of a revived sense of Iran and Iranian nationalism, in the same spirit in which Firdowsi's Shahnameh is seen not only as a great national epic, but as the literary defense that preserved Persian from the religiously-supported onslaught of Arabic.

Sounds crazy, does it? Well, is the Muslim world one that strikes you as defined by its rationality? Down with the ayatollahs and the lizardoid mullahs. Up with Zoroaster.

Meanwhile, Persians in exile, including those in Los Angeles who may be horrified to see their own children now speaking of Islam with too much interest and sympathy (in the same horrified way that refugees from the Soviet Union may find their own children from the safety of the United States now spouting left-wing platitudes), should look into Mary Boyce's scholarship and her own reports on her stay in Iran in the 1970s, the reports of Napier Malcolm in the 1890s on the mistreatment of Zoroastrians, and other scholarship, much of which has been completely ignored (Graduate students of Iranian descent: look into this).

Aside from some Indo-Persian Mughal miniatures, and a blue mosque in Ispahan or two, what did Islam do for Persian civilization? Regard it as what it was, an Arab import, inflicted on a richer, altogether more interesting civilization. Enjoy the mosque, and the roses and bulbuls of Gulistan, but if only 20% of the Iranian population (the thinking 20%) leaves Islam, it will make a great difference.

There is no other way. Sorroush's (the usual story of "radical" turned acclaimed "reformer") putative "reforms" are absurd. Ebadi's denial of the role of Islam in the very cause she has made her own -- the suppression of women -- reveal her to be a teller of untruths and apologist for Islam.

Also sprach Zarathustra.

Keep hoping for a couple more earthquakes. Then all of Iran will be crumbled, and the only Jihadis available will be buried under hundreds of tons of stone and sand.

These threats are getting old and stale.

why not follow the israeli example and target assasinate these criminals that preach murder and death to children. If there is a sustained pressure of death on them, may be they will not stop their hate, but at least they will shun away from media coverage. either way it does reduce the exposure.

Hugh,

Many of them are. The mullahs are giving Zoroastrianism some good fuel, while the mullahs are claiming Zoroastrianism is a "false, bad religion," Iranians are investigating it and converting back to the older, true faith. Not may people are aware that Zoroastrianism is the root of Judaic, Christian, and Islamic doctrine. Needless to say, Islam comprising about 90% in doctrine, minus the jihad, of course. Final judgement, resurrection, a savior (saoshyant), struggle between Good and Evil, Heaven, Hell, judgement based on how you live your life, doing that which is right, and avoiding that which is evil.............have so permeated western culture
that not many know where these concepts originated from. Kudos to those young Iranians brave ebnough to turbn away from Islam and towards a more peaceful, progressive religion.

Note: Islamic 5-times a day prayer was blatantly stolen from Zoroastrianism, too. Only difference is, the Zardustis do not pray facing Mecca. And, of course, they have their own prayers as well. :)

The true nature of Islam:

muslim convert to Zoroastrianism hanged in Iran

Muslim convert to Zoroastrianism hanged in public

In the Islamic Republic of Iran

An article appeared titled "The Murderous Mullahs" written by Ann
Leslie, a veteran investigative reporter for the British Daily Mail
newspaper on pages 18 - 21, dated Saturday 22nd May 2004. In this
article, Ann Leslie reported on her recent official visit to the
Islamic Republic of Iran.

The editorial headline stated;

"Few Western reporters are allowed to visit Iran. In this powerful
dispatch Ann Leslie paints a horrifying picture of a violent and
corrupt dictatorship run by fanatical Muslim fundamentalists."

Section of Ann Leslie's report stated;

"And where converting from Islam to any other religion
is `apostasy' - and therefore punished by death. The Prophet
Mohammed said there should be "no compulsion in religion", I pointed
out to a black - turbaned mullah in the holy city of Qom `yet you
forbid a Muslim to convert!'

The bearded 35 year old mullah snapped at me: `You are mistaken.
There is no compulsion in religion in Iran.' Try telling that dear
Mullah Mir Sayeed Mir Mohammed, to the family of the man hanged in
public for converting to the original Iranian religion of
Zoroastrianism."

Nice, huh. Islamic barbarians.

Fact of the matter is this..

There is no way in hell that 10,000 Iranians would sign up to blow themsevles up.. LISTEN: The Iranian people are the most NON-Fanatic people in the region and they HATE their freaking regime.. The Mullahs haveprobably hired NO MORE THAN 500 Palestinians to blow themselves up.. The MULLAHS and the BRITISH are bed buddies.. The brits prop of the MULLAHS everyday of the freaking week. It's time for the US to expose the true nature of the Europeans and support the Iranian people!

FREEDOM FOR IRANIANS NOW!!!!

I'm glad this thread brought up the issue of Salman Rushdie, and therefore sort of brought up the issue of "The Satanic Verses".

I'd like to take this oppurtunity to ask our Muslim friends what they think about this topic.

The 'flawless character of Muhammad' is often used as evidence for him being a prophet of God and his message, the Qur'an, to be the word of God.

The "Satanic Verses" refer to when Muhammad 'slipped up' and said the Meccans could call on al-Lat al-Uzza and Manat (the daughters of Allah) as intercessors.

Qur'an, 53:19,20
"Have ye thought upon al-Lat and al-Uzza
And Manat, the third, the other?"

Then, originally, the verses (known today as the satanic verses) followed:

"These are the exalted cranes (intermediaries)
Whose intercession is to be hoped for."

These latter verses were removed, and Muhammed confessed to the Devil having 'revealed' this to him and not Allah.

My question is this;
With all the other faults in the Qur'an and this 'biggie' How can you trust Muhammed as a reliable messenger, and his message as the word of God?

Regards,
kc

More tough, yet empty threats from the Arabian peanut gallery. Iranian teens want the Mullahs gone, so they may end up strapping bombs to the Mullahs and dropping them off of cliffs someday.

Young Iran loves the way of the West. Mullahs, Clerics, you're old, washed up and crusty, like the wahabi you preach. Live in the 21st century, or die stuck in the 7th, cretins.

I thought the Qu'ran was "the Satanic Verses"

More jihad meat for the grinder in Iraq.

Thousands of American MIRVs Targeted on Islamist hot spots .
Seething and bitching at 11.
I know we cant just nuke everyone but these Jihadis need to wake up and smell the turkish coffe.
What does Osamabindipshit think will happen to all of Islam if they nuke NY or Dc?
We are a Gentle Giant but we are dealing with fanatics who want martyrdom.
If they call our bluff they might get it in a big way. I Am reminded of a small dog snapping every time you turn away. I say this because I dont want to Nuke anyone.
But I would take fuorious measures if one of our citys has a WMD strike.
And I think most of us would.
We love in scary times .So dont get wobbily....

Hugh, way up above, is correct! While I was stationed in Germany, I managed to get a copy of the exiled Komeni's "Little Green Book" that covered his main sayings. What a perverted twit! He stated that if your wife is on her period that you should flip her over and anally take her. Of course you can also have your choice of camels, sheep, goat's and whatever else is out crawling, friends, next door, whatever. Muslims are sexually perverted, violent, schizophrenic, psycopathic murder's. Nuke em!

I forgot to add:

Why do arabs consider camels not only so valuable, but as the main ships of the desert???

Because they hold a lot of Semen.
Good old abu and his desert bride.

"It's time for the US to expose the true nature of the Europeans and support the Iranian people!

FREEDOM FOR IRANIANS NOW!!!!"

Amen to that!!!! :)

To BA:

Thank you for your response to my post. Although I may be hopelessly optimistic, I continue to believe that a day will come when Iran will be both a free country and a great friend to the West. I look forward to a time when I can welcome Iranians in a spirit of mutual fellowship and respect without even a tincture of suspicion. If you are an Iranian, know that you are in my thoughts. Shame on the BBC. When comeuppance comes to the Mullahs, as it most surely will, let not the perfidy and cowardice of the media be forgotten.

Cary

Thank you for kind words. I'm Iranian and I try to show the world that we are a ntion with a great culture and we love democracy. We are a part of the civilized world. There is a renaissance going on in Iran. We have nothing to do with the inhumane regime of mullahs in Iran. I have forgiven the US for staging a coup against our national government of Dr Mossadegh in 1953 but I'm not going to forgive the UK for supporting the inhumane regime of mullahs in the past 25 years.

B. A.-Iran

Hi B.A.,

I'm part Iranian myself, and I know what the Iranian youth are going through, they've been under Tazi influence for a long time, they have a right to declare freedom, and be free, to practice any religion they want, and to reclaim their pre-Islamic Persian heritage.

Hi abad,

I think more Iranians should write and show the world that we are a cultured nation.

BA,

Write the US government and ask for help.

As in:

Dear Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld,

I noticed you were in the area, and I wondered if you and 130,000 of your employees would like to drop in for tea...

Bob Owens

Your post lacks any sign of intelligence.

BA:

Bob Owens was making a JOKE. As in HUMOR?

American humor doesn't translate well to Arabic, Farsi, or Pashtun, I'm afriad.
