Turkish hostages let go "for the sake of our Muslim brothers"

This won't stop any of the American Muslim spokesmen and their allies from telling us that Islam respects non-Muslims and teaches tolerance, but it is more evidence that the reality is different, and that many Muslims today hold tenaciously to the sharp distinction between believers and unbelievers that runs through the Qur'an. From CNN:

The Arabic-language television network Al Jazeera reported earlier Tuesday a group led by Jordanian-born Islamic militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi had freed the men contractors, who were kidnapped last week.

"For the sake of you, our brothers, and Muslims of the people of Turkey ... we will release these hostages and send them safely home," the statement said.

Yet they will almost certainly kill the Lebanonese Muslim Marine they captured...

What about their muslim brothers in America...or arent they "muslim enough" now that they reside in the Great Satan...and it will be interesting to see the comments of this mans family should they behead him....will they be "gentle" in their comments about muslims or make excuses for the captors....hopefully we will not have to find out.

What is the story on the AWOL status of the Lebanese American soldier captured?

Um, he's still AWOL, I guess...

He is not apparently a very bright individual, leaving his base illegally and unescorted. Why he thought it was safe to leave the base alone, and presumably unarmed, has not been adequately explained.

Yet another example of Islam's sectarian apartheid -- only Muslim captives deserve life!. Why the African Americans are converting to this racist belief system I will never understand.

Well, what about Nation of Islam, this organization is very powerful and I don´t know if the FBI or CIA are researching about terrorist links, because Farrakan is anti-semitic and this is a very important fact. Greetings

Off-topic but be aware that a poll taken of Lebanese, reveals significant opposition to the Syrian occupation of their country.

That ought to motivate the Euros into self-determination drive. Wouldn't it?

Make no mistake: yesterday's suprise turnover cancelled the "third act" of their opera - they had no choice but to improvise.
Lee Harris has had it right from the very beginning - cancel their theater engagement, and the jihadist's have no strategy! And is it my imagination,or have the media finally got the message and cut back on televising their grotesque "gong shows" in the first place? It seemed like, for a while there, CNN and sometimes even Fox were becoming less an American news outlet and more Jihadist access cable channels...
Franze, as anyone on these pages will roll their eyes while telling you,(although I had forgotten to keep Farakan on my list)I have been insisting that's it not "defending against" unless it's "all enemies, foreign and domestic".

Nobody kills more muslims than other muslims. They specialize in throwing bombs into mosques during worship. They do it to christians too.

Now just a minute. It will have taken them all of 5 minutes to figure out that 95% of Turks are Muslim and therefore in all probability they were holding some of their own as hostages. So how come it took them so long to be so magnanimous? Could it be that some of our brothers of Jihad row with only one oar in the water? Also where did all this "brother" nonesense come from? When they are not out there doing god's work killing infidels, Shias and Sunnis are pretty good at killing eachother!

Like Saddam’s had been in Iraq and like the Baath régime is in Syria, the repulsive “President” Yasir Arafat’s PA/PLO is a classic, fascist, Arab nationalist/pan-Arab, ”Arab Socialist” - hence ostensibly “secularist” - psycho-politico-paramilitary-terrorist entity.

However, for the past 3-3/4 years of the “Palestinians”’ “el-Aqsa Intefada”, it’s been working warmly, intimately, in the closest of complicity, with the murderous Islamic fundamentalists of Hamas and Jihad Islami, Hezbollah and with offshoots of el-Qaeda.

“Palestine”’s manifestation of Islamo-fascism exudes from a political Broad Front there, across the spectrum of “popular” factions - from the nominally Greek Orthodox PFLP’s Communists to Shi’ite Mullahs, with most every genocidal maniac in between. The terrorism of the combined “Palestinian” groups is carried on beneath the banner of the “National & Islamic Forces”.

The participants’ collaboration’s been improving greatly, tightening to the extent - in the last two years - of facilitating not just exchanges of information, training, logistics, etc, but, on top, of conducting of joint operations, which have become increasingly regular over the period.

Such open connivance is most genially welcomed by Arafat and his supporters, and it comes APPROVED by Iran’s Grand Islamic Council and by Sheikh Osama bin-Laden himself, who, at the outset of the Iraq campaign, authorized the general collusion of Jihadis with “socialists”.

Arafat’s own ties with the ur-terrorist Moslem Brotherhood (el-Ikhwan el-Muslimin), possibly hark back to boyhood with his loathsome uncle, the Nazi-aligned Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin el-Husseini. But they definitely date back to his student days in Egypt, from which he was expelled in the mid-1950s for them. Though he subsequently hitched himself to the Soviets (until their disintegration), he’s never repudiated the Brethren, seeing no discrepancy.

Hamas is a direct creature of the Ikhwan’s Egyptian and Jordanian arms, while el-Qaeda’s the creation of its Saudi branch. Though Jihad Islami and Hezbollah aren’t Members, the exigencies of the “Great Islamic Revolution” nowadays let them into the tent - temporarily, in the spirit of “hudna”, together with the “secularist/socialist” apostates and atheists and the dhimmies.

The phenomenon witnessed here is CONVERGENCE: the range of anti-Western forces of the Arab/Moslem sphere and beyond - even in the West and its associates - are today merging to make common cause: to vanquish freedom forever and, ultimately, to subjugate the planet.

On their TVs, millions of Arabs and Moslems are shown gory scenes of functional, inter-Arab co-ordination in “Palestine”; a portion of them seek to utilize this as a MODEL elsewhere, viz Iraq. Even if only for a time, they march abreast, against the ones they all despise together.

Spurring them on and abetting, from the West, they hear the raucous cheers of the demented Leftists, exonerating and exhorting their terrorism, in cahoots with them, crazily convinced that they’re nicely consulting, “converging” with them - and vice-versa - while, in fact, if they’re triumphant, the Jihadis will slit all their throats along with the rest, or about a minute later.

The real "Great Satan"(USAgirls comment) is islam and all that it stands for, not the US.The next time the liberal "equality for muslims" preachers start rambling their usual verbal diahorea remind them of how the only people in the world who are safe of keeping their heads in the terrorist no-mans-land are their "peace-loving" muslim brothers. Unless they are just trying to sway the Turkish government with a "look ,we're you're allies/friends/brothers" kind of message".

Mr. Spencer,

Do you beleive that Turkey's expected entrance into the EU is a good idea? I say expected because Europe is prostrate at the hands of the progressives who are blind to the deviency of the Islamists. They are hearalding this, what I think to be misguided, sucidal cause.

Let me be more specific, would the entry of Turkey into the EU accelerate the Islamization of Europe? Could that be a hidden objective of those who wish to spread Islam by hook or crook to the clueless Western infidels?

Finally would social chaos result in a Europe swamped with Muslim "Europeans", assuming they immigrate in mass, from Turkey and elsewhere in the Muslim world?

I know you are busy, but nobody seems to be openly talking about this doomsday scenario, except Peter Sholl Lateur in Germany.

Thank you.

Andrew,

If you don't mind, Ill take a stab at this.

I doubt that a Turkish inclusion in to the EU would be much of an issue, as they are a very secular state, with clearly demarcated lines between church and state.

Europe has their own problems without any help from hypothetical swarms of Muslims. If I was Turkey, I'd reconsider wanting to join the Island of Misfit Toys that the EU has become.

Yes, Mr Owen...very few churches in Turkey. But the "swarms" are not hypothetical. There is enormous Islamic immigration into Europe now,in every European member state. Think of France before you casually disregard the threat of population demographics.

The secularism you mention seems for the moment sufficent, but to me is may be more fragile than it appears...the Erdogan government may be more Islamist than we think.

As for the "Island of Misfit Toys' imagry thanks for the laugh, but Bat Yeór is far more accurate when she refers to Europe as 'Eurabia".

Andrew:

Hugh has substantially addressed the Turkish issue in several essays. Most of them are archived here somewhere but they are being assembled in a compendium at NoJihad.com. Some of them might be up already. If not, contact Ethelred Smith at questioningislam@yahoo.com and he can direct you as to where to access all of Hugh's essays. Hugh answers the questions you have posed and a lot more besides - required reading for any serious anti-jihadist.

Andrew:

Read Ethelred's post on the June 30 "12 air crew members ..." thread.

Andrew:

For a start, go to nojihad.com, click on "Our Contributors", "Hugh Fitgerald" and the word index section where "Turkey" would be found. There are several "turkey" entries accessible from the index page. As I said, Ethelred Smith can direct you to any others.

Hope this helps!
