Good thing that Muslims don't kill Muslims. These guys have nothing to worry about.
(AFP)Two Turkish men, senior employees of a Turkish construction company, have been taken hostage in Iraq by armed insurgents, a Turkish government official said today.
Arabs don't kill Arabs?
Based upon the history of the last 50 years, it seems that an Arab vs. Arab conflict is the only way an Arab can stand a chance of winning.
*looks in research*
I'm sorry. They loose those, as well.
"lose" those.
Very funny Bob. However, Turks vs. the Arabs would be an Arab masacre. Unfortunately, these two Turks though muslim, may be viewed as not 'muslim enough' by their abductors.
The arabs and kurds have no love for the Turks as it is. Inter-ethnic strife among muslims is always good from our point of view - divided they fall.
If I'm correct, jihadists have killed more muslims than non-muslims. So, when your muslim, you should fear the jihad more than when you're an american or european.
viewed as not 'muslim enough' ....
Wow I had no idea that there were different degrees of muslimity....is it kind of like karate....1st degree, 2nd degree...wonder if they get different color headscarfs for each degree they go up....these have to be the craziest people on earth.

Iraq PM: U.S. Departure Would Be Disaster
NewsMax Wires
Saturday, June 5, 2004
BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Iraq's new prime minister made his first address to the nation Friday, saying a rapid U.S. withdrawal from the country would be a "major disaster" because Iraqis are not ready to handle their own security.
On Friday, Col. Brian May, commander of the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, said U.S. commanders agreed to stay away from "sensitive areas" _ the Imam Ali Shrine in Najaf and the Kufa mosque where al-Sadr preaches _ because al-Zurufi assured them the militia had "been reduced to the point where the legitimate Iraqi security forces can move in to those very sensitive areas."
"It's an Iraqi solution to the problem," he said.
Allawi, a Shiite Muslim, also expressed appreciation to the country's most influential Shiite cleric, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani, who has given a tacit endorsement of the new government.
Car Bomb Kills 6; Prisoners Freed From Abu Ghraib

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A car bomb exploded Sunday near the gate to a U.S.-run base north of Baghdad, killing six people and injuring 20 others - including two U.S. soldiers, the U.S. military said. It was the latest of a series of attacks against occupation forces and their Iraqi allies.
With tensions easing in Najaf, al-Sadr met late Saturday with Iraq's most influential spiritual leader, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani, for the first time since the young cleric launched an uprising against the U.S.-led coalition in April.
Al-Sistani thanked al-Sadr for his moves to resolve the crisis, according to an al-Sadr aide, Ahmed al-Shibani. "The agreement is moving is toward success and is on the right path," al-Shibani said.
Al-Sadr's rebellion began after the U.S.-led occupation authority closed his newspaper, arrested a key aide and announced a warrant for his arrest in the April 2003 murder of a moderate cleric in Najaf.
Under a deal worked out between Shiite leaders and al-Sadr's militia, his al-Mahdi Army is supposed to pull back from the Islamic shrines in the twin cities and hand over security to Iraqi police.
The U.S. Army acceded to a request from the local governor to keep U.S. troops away from the Imam Ali Shrine in Najaf and the mosque in Kufa where al-Sadr preaches to give Iraqi security forces a chance to ease tensions.

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – President Bush, preparing new Air Force officers for war, cast the fight against terrorism as a struggle between freedom and tyranny similar to World War II and the Cold War.
"Our goal, the goal of this generation, is the same," Bush said Wednesday, after referring to World War II. "We will secure our nation and defend the peace through the forward march of freedom."
Bush told 981 graduates that they would be joining a war whose central front is Iraq.

Just 99.8%...
Don't fret folks. You are all correct. Yes, some Turks aren't Muslim, and some Muslims aren't "Muslim enough." The point of violent jihad is to Islamize the world under the imperial Caliphate and to demand that all Muslims return its "pure" form. Thus, almost everyone is at risk.
Where is the outrage on the "Arab Street."You would think that "moderate" Muslims would feel threatened and protest. You won't hear a peep from any of them because Islam goes through cycles, and for them, any form of Islamic overlordship is better than having a world where "infidels" are in charge. They are all batting on the same team and hoping for a homerun. They will work out the details later. Do you smell dhimmitude or death for the rest of us?
Muslims do not kill Muslims UNLESS there is no better target around...
Besides I would sooner see this as more of an attempt at extortion than anything else..
Sure, some Turks are not Muslims. SOme Arabs, Iranians, Pakistanis, Malians, Indonesians, Bangladeshis, etc. aren't either. May their numbers increase daily.
Also, Muslim-on-Muslim violence can be pretty to dreadful to behold, too. For a long time the Uighur fought the Hui in a lot of NW China.
