Of all places. From Daniel Pipes at FrontPage:
Finally, an official body of the U.S. government has come out and said what needs to be said: that the enemy is “Islamist terrorism … not just ‘terrorism,’ some generic evil.” The 9/11 commission in its final report even declares that Islamist terrorism is the “catastrophic threat” facing the United States. As Thomas Donnelly points out in the New York Sun, the commission has called the enemy “by its true name, something that politically correct Americans have trouble facing.”
Why does it matter that the Islamist dimension of terrorism must be specified? Simple. Just as a physician must identify a disease to treat it, so a strategist must name an enemy to defeat it. The great failing in the U.S. war effort since September 2001 has been the reluctance to name the enemy. So long as the anodyne, euphemistic, and inaccurate term “war on terror” remains the official nomenclature, that war will not be won.
Better is to call it a “war on Islamist terrorism.” Better yet would be “war on Islamism,” looking beyond terror to the totalitarian ideology that lies behind it.
Significantly, the same day that the 9/11 report was published, July 22, President George W. Bush for the first time used the term “Islamic militants” in a speech, bringing him closer than ever before to pointing to the Islamist threat.
The report of the “National Commission on Terrorist Attacks upon the United States” has other good value. It paints an accurate picture of Islamist views, describing these as a “hostility toward us and our values [that] is limitless.” Equally useful is the description of the Islamist goal being “to rid the world of religious and political pluralism.”
In contrast to those analysts who wishfully dismiss the Islamists as a few fanatics, the 9/11 commission acknowledges their true importance, noting that bin Laden’s message “has attracted active support from thousands of disaffected young Muslims and resonates powerfully with a far larger number who do not actively support his methods.” The Islamist outlook represents not a hijacking of Islam, as is often but wrongly claimed; rather it emerges from a “long tradition of extreme intolerance” within Islam, one going back centuries and in recent times associated with Wahhabism, the Muslim Brethren, and the Egyptian writer Sayyid Qutb....
Wow. Sounds like those Commission guys have been reading my books.

I've said it in several previous posts, the names Pipes and Spencer were vital in this war. This has come to light, and I hope all of the politically correct faction finally take their blinders off and finally realize what it is we have to kill.
Once again, as an American, a very proud one, thanks to Pipes and Spencer for all they do.
Congratulations Robert. We all owe you a debt of gratitude for exposing Islam.
Simple..Ban the Quran it is a book of hate and intollerance its flowery misinterpretation by the subverters is slowly starting to sink in to some people, lets hope it gets to the people that matters before it is too late.
HIP-HIP-HOORAY!!!
At long last , we've actually named our enemy, now maybe we can focus on blasting it out of existence.
Very good indeed. I agree with you to call it a “war on Islamist terrorism”. Even though personally I would like to take it a step further by naming it a "war on Islamism", to me that translates too easily into "war on Salafism" and there you have your religious war. I don't think it would get support, because it would overshoot its goal in public opinion, much like the "war on terror" goes flat. People are not ready to accept us being at war with 'true' Islam itself. Even writing it makes me feel queezy, and I support it. To take it to that level needs to come from the bottom up, and I hope (because we all know how this would happen) that will not happen. For now this is a good step, something to focus the bureaucrats, and guide the press establishment.
Sorry, but this is not good enough. Its not even close. Subsituting "terror" with "Islamist terror" is merely stating what everybody with an IQ higher than their shoe size should know, and substituting it with "islamism" is about as far from the truth.
The enemy is neither "terrorism", "islamist terrorism" or "islamism". The enemy is ISLAM. Nothing more. Nothing less. Nothing less than a total and global war on ISLAM will do the job, until not a mosque is left standing and only ex-muslims left alive.

It is my understanding (according to Victor Mordecai aka/Avi Lipkin & his website) that Arabs (read that Muslims) have bought out our UPI (United Press International) and AP (Associated Press) organizations, as well as at least 40% of CNN - thereby changing our media into a propaganda machine for Leftists & Islam.
I very much wish this would be verified & exposed to warn our people.
It is likely that they own major portions of the other leftist main stream media news outlets as well. The coverage between them all is the same, so it must be so.
And it explains why the coverage is so tender toward the Arab/Palestinian terrorist cause, & so softly presenting the real intent of Islam - to enslave or butcher us as a people.
Our nation needs to realize our national press has been compromised by the enemy.
Pass it on & may we all be found faithful to stand against this great evil & true threat, as in the Nazi's early days.
Yamamoto's mythic giant is waking but is not yet fully awake. It is only a matter of time before the present generation comes to the realization that our ancestors had without the fog of political correctness to impair their collective judgement about the nature of the threat posed by islam to non-muslims around the globe. There will be a reprise of the Battle of Tours (732) where the muslim invaders were annihilated by Frankish King Charles Martel, the destruction of Baghdad (1258) by the Mongol conquerer Hulegu Khan where he slaughtered 80,000 of its inhabitants and stacked a pyramid of muslim skulls, and the carnage at Vienna (1683) where the winged Polish Hussars under the command of King Jan Sobieski descended upon the Ottoman horde cutting 15,000 to pieces, thus inaugurating a global pursuit of saracens that did not end until the Caliphate itself was extinguished in 1924.
And today the President of the United States invites jihadists around the globe to journey to the heart of the defunct islamic empire, Baghdad, and there to meet their destiny. Come to Baghdad all you true jihadist warriors. Come to Baghdad and see with your own eyes the Great Satan himself. Come to Baghdad and attain your glory. Surely Allah will protect you, though he failed to protect your brethren at Tours in 732, Baghdad in 1258, Vienna in 1683, or Fallujah in 2004. Perhaps their faith was weak and yours will be strong. The Great Satan waits for you in Iraq. He does not hide. It is your duty. If you fail to respond to this call, you condemn your soul to the Hell of your own making.
I'm glad someone if finally assigning the blame to the guilty party,in Canada I read the 911-report and the mention of Islam was erased from the article. During a radio report Islam was refered to so I checked local papers and I couldn't believe how our media tried to blame the victim. It didn't care that 25 Canadians were murdered by men screaming "Allah a akbar" or that
15 of them were Saudi Muslims. This attack had nothing to do with foreign policy or the affluent life here,Muslims wanted us dead to show favour with Allah. I saw the 9/11/01 attack as a sick and demented action by brainwashed followers of a warped religion based on a man that heard voices in his head and enjoyed sex with children.
The USA has about .5 percent of the worlds Muslim population and it's starting to look as if the other 1.2 billion are the real Muslims following the true Islam of violence and hate.
I no longer care if Muslims are offended by profiling,if their brothers hadn't slaughtered 3000 civilians, some through forced cremation,we wouldn't need to check them over. Muslims are the same one blaming America for allowing these hijackers to be in the country.
Now that you are acting on the advice of those muslims, they should shut-up and be happy they aren't being oppressed in an Islamic State.
Michael Moore made a good point in FRNHT 9/11 ,he implied BUSH allowed Arabs and Muslms to leave the USA after the terrorists attack.
Right on Moore, they should have been rounded up and put in camp until they proved they weren't guilty of supporting the Saudi hijackers.
I'm guessing Kerry will build internment camps
to avoid letting them leave as BUSH did.
I wonder how Moore would feel if he was denied boarding a plane because a local bank was robbed by a 50 year old fat slob with a beard and ballcap.
whatda yu think?
I agree with FOMI. The war is with ISLAM. This will be proven in time, no matter how hard people try to run from reality. Mark my words.
Wording like "militant Islamist terrorism" is a good start, but it still dances around the truth. I'm tired of political and ideological fog.
The Islamists have no such quandaries.
The Muslims in America are going to be forced to behave like civilized humans.....Can they do it? Or will we get a better scenario and get to boot them out of here?

"Arabs (read that Muslims) have bought out our UPI (United Press International) and AP (Associated Press) organizations, as well as at least 40% of CNN "...I also saw this somewhere, also that the Saudis have a trillion dollars in the stock market and whenever it heads south they are called on to go on a shopping spree. Can you imagine what would happen to our economy if they decided to "cash out". And people wonder why we cover for them, they got us by the short and curlies.
