My fellow Iranians,The anniversary of the 18 Tir, the Iranian Students National Uprising, is once again upon us. The 18th of Tir (July 8th) has become a symbolic struggle and resistance against the tyrannical, totalitarian and barbaric regime of the Islamic Republic. Our very brave and courageous freedom lovers have been challenging the very fabric of the foreign occupiers of the Iranian nation. Iranian people have demanded a total annihilation of this Totalitarian State of Islamic Barbarity and Terror, which lacks even the most basic human compassion and human rights.
The Iranian people after their centuries long struggle which resulted in throwing out many foreign mercenaries, will throw this new and unwanted fundamentalist Islamic thugs right into the trash-basket of history very soon.
The flowers of victory will once again blossom and the celebration of life over the celebration death will begin. But until then, we must struggle against fanaticism with all our strength. We must end poverty, ignorance, disease and inequality of opportunity. We must pledge of dedication to the service of Iran and her people and to the still larger cause of humanity.
I call upon the honorable people of Iran to stand tall and start to build the noble mansion of free Iran where all her children may dwell in freedom and equality. Iranian people must become masters of their own destiny.
The events of 18 Tir have created bitter taste toward the Islamic foreign oppressors. The Persian people have been struggling to obliterate these desperate opportunist parasites forever from their land. This can only happen when we have the full Support of all Iranians. This can only happen when we set aside dedicated time and resources for the destruction of this merciless, despotic, alien regime and the establishment of a Free, independent sovereign United States of Iran/Persia.
My fellow Persians, A. D Benoist said, "The highest measure of democracy is neither the 'extent of freedom' nor the 'extent of equality', but rather the highest measure of participation. We need you to make time to come out and participate in these gatherings over and over again. "Democracy is not something you believe in or a place to hang your hat, but it's something you do. You participate. If you stop doing it, democracy crumbles," said, Abbie Hoffman
One of the major hurdles to achieve the full democracy and the rule of law in Iran, in the past, has always come from the selfish-interest of people who have been attempting to plunder the society for their own personal gain. It is the same scenario today. If we desire to achieve freedom and remain free then we continuously need to avoid self-interest and work for our national interest and in the spirit of teamwork.
Human beings cannot create an idea world of peace and tranquility under totalitarian and despotic and tyrant regimes, such as the Islamic Republic in Iran. The freedom of the individual would be brutally repressed. The individual would be at the mercy of the merciless despots and in our case, the clergies in Iran.
Revolutions are successful only when they succeed in replacing a totalitarian state, not creating another oppressing dictatorship. We need to create a government, which will be providing greater personal freedom and liberty for all Iranians. A government, which moves away from dictatorship and proceeds towards democracy
I believe demonstrations such as 18 Tir will give Iranians in Iran who are unable to demonstrate in their own homeland a hope in the hearts of the hopeless Iranians and a chance to rejuvenate their motivation. It represents a step forward in our freedom initiative, which will break down barriers of mistrust with our home base.
As we move forward on implementing this important demonstration, we are determined to establish a grass-root organization, which effectively, monitors and supports the need to find the best way to provide more freedom.
"Behind all customs of whatever nature, behind all social unrest, behind all movements, behind all revolutions, are great driving forces." Iranians have been struggling against alien rulers and self-determination, for so long. Because of the lack of social and political freedom, police terrorization and thought control under the occupation of Islamic terrorists in Iran have been escalating and with the selections of the members of Iran's 7th congress, the Islamic occupiers want to continue this repression and, to legitimize their evil entity.
My fellow compatriots, once again I call upon all of you to be united with your fellow Iranians in Iran on this day and support the aspirations of the Iranians for a self-rule and their expectations for an era of peace, freedom, prosperity and independence. This is no longer a choice; it is simply a duty and obligation as an Iranian citizen.

Also, please sign this online petition, "A Plea For Support & Demonstration Attendance against Terrorists, Islamofascists, and Fanaticism." I just did.
Signed.
I just signed this. 505 signatures is a great start, but nowhere near the number it needs to be. Please encourage everyone that you know to sign this. If possible, please ask the site director for these signatures to copy our Government officials. That would be a nice wake up kick in the tail.
512 Signatures. And I will include this link in my next Otter Update- long story :P

Why go to make the mulsums look like their anti jihad is bigger than it is not me I anit no sucker?
We know that christians and Jews and all others are against this jihad now lets us see world wide the real numbers of mulsums who are aginst it? that is the real ?
Part of the American Tribe
God Bless the USA and her Fighting Forces and All who Fight with her give them Strength and Courage to stay the course to Victory Amen
PS Remember Iran we will not wait for ever we know that you have many fingers? If you are going to take over you had better get busy we know you have over thrown a goverment before we will not wait forever?
I have signed the petition with anticipation that the Iranians who hope and dream of freedom and democracy will eventually prevail.
The people of Iran are possibly the most pro-American middle eastern country (not including Israel). We should be funding a couple of Iranian companies located in California that "spoof" on the Mullahs via TV programing. I think it was some time last year that Cuba was blocking satellite reception and inadvertantly caused one of these shows to be received in Iran. It caused quite a stir from what i read. The producers were getting calls from Iran and thought that someone was playing a prank. I understand that this eventually called for a crack down on satellite dishes from the "religous police".
That is a powerfull petition. Folks when it comes to freeing the oppressed Arab people from Islam, movements like this is what it is all about. We got to give the Iraianian movement our full support.
I found it interesting that they draw inspiration from Abbie Hoffman. So do you think the American " left " is going to get behind this movement? HELL NO! It is so confussed by the Islamic Disinformation Conspirace of hatred for the West, they will allign themselves with Mid-Evil Mullahs and Arab Nationalism and totally shun democratic movements and human rights movements in the Mid East. Thinking that a totalitarian Jihad movement is some sort of substitue for human rights.
Anyway , democracy and human rights will prevail in the Arab World despite the American " lefts" best efforts to prop up totalitarian religious fanatics and military dictators. For as I have heard Iranian students chant at demonstrations :
( this is so powerfull when you consider it came from a culture dogmatically proclaiming the Will Of Allah as undefeatable.)
" The- will- of- the- PEOPLE- cannot- be- defeated! "
" Yellow - Brown- Black- White- must- unite- to- defeat- the- Right! "
The Iranian people are dynamic and energetic, they cannot be held down forever. The Shah found that out and so will the Mullahs.
Nostrodamus
Street demonstrations can't work against fanatic despots.
We need to intervene. Period.
Working with allies is the way to go. Not joining with them now will allow the Mullahs to murder all of our friends without our protection.
Do we have to repeat the error of Bush in 1991?
Blert~ Just a question as I am Not sure, but wasn't Bush 91's mistake listening to the UN? Because I know Schwartzkoph (sp) wanted to take Saddam out...
Signed, with pride and pleasure.

Today, everyone is an Iranian
"You have powers you never dreamed of. You can do things you never thought you could do. There are no limitations in what you can do except the limitations of your own mind." Darwin P. Kingsley
Today is 18 Tir, July 8, 2004. It was exactly five years ago when the brutal and totalitarian regime of the Islamic Republic attacked the student dorm and savagely beat the sleeping students and murdered others. The July 8, 1999 tragedy is a day that will live forever in the minds of all freedom loving people.
Today, we are united in the spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood and standing tall to let the world hear our continuous, everlasting voracity and aspirations for a free and democratic Iran. Today, we pledge ourselves under divine afflatus, to stand beside Iranians in Iran and echo their voices around the globe. Today, we make history, yet again.
It is very difficult for the civilized world to envision the sufferings of the Iranian people under the absolute theocratic terrorism in Iran. The figures we have been seeing are beyond belief and simply incomprehensible. Islamic terrorism has been responsible for the torturing, imprisonment and death on false charges, of hundreds of peace-loving Iranian souls.
There are simply no logical answers to the actions of these sub-humans who call themselves the Islamic Republic. The true answer would be, of course, for them to destroy or disorganize all possible sources of the opposition group and impede their progress until they (The Islamic Republic) have developed the Atomic bomb and destabilize, not only Iran, but also the entire region and the world. The theocratic despotism's ultimate goal is sacrificing the Persian nation and turn it into the most aggressive Islamic terrorist nation the world has ever seen.
It is the love of our beloved pre-Islamic heritage that has held Iranians tightly together for centuries. It is the rooted passion within each and every Iranian that has propelled the Persians to persevere and keep their Pre-Islamic culture when the barbaric Islamic culture was forced upon the fabric of Persians' soul. And it was the Persian heritage, again, that was attacked by the Islamic thugs in order to Arabize the Iranian nation. Persian language and tradition and indeed our entire culture has acted as a common denominator to hold together the fragments of our enflamed souls.
Iranian people for centuries have been resisting oppressive and tyrannical governments. They have been struggling to achieve their liberty and freedom. They have continued to pay the price of liberty and independence from the aggressors and the totalitarian regimes with their blood.
We will never abandon our love for liberty. We will build a society that is vital, liberal, tolerant, allowing freedom to all alike, Jews, Zoroastrians, Baha'i, Christians, Muslims and all those with no religion affiliations at all. We will struggle for our political liberty.
The Iranian revolution that supposed to lead to a glorious dream of independence and freedom, ended up being a travesty, devastatingly reminiscent of the Dark Ages of the Arab occupiers.
Today, the theocratic Islamic fascists, insisting upon absolute Stalinism-terrorism and the atmosphere of claustrophobia and oppression to run Iran, and at the same time, trying to turn back the clock to the era of the invasion of the ruthless, heartless, merciless Arab imperialist-terrorists, combined with their own Islamic version.
George Orwell's riveting novel "1984" should have been written exclusively for the empire of evil of the Islamic regime in Iran. "WAR IS PEACE. FREEDOM IS SLAVERY. IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH." That is how Islam defies the world.
Orwell saw it coming, but he was unaware of its exact date and place. Like Emmanuel Goldstein, the face of Ayatollah Khamenehi, "the Enemy of the People," was shown on the big screen. "The Big Brother is watching you." The Islamic Republic's two-minutes of hate has become hours long Friday prayers, chanting death to America and death to Israel.
Yes, I believe Orwell unconsciously wrote his fictional book of "1984" for the emergence of the new Empire of Evil; for the evildoers of the Islamic Republic in Iran who have made life intolerable, unbearable and miserable for the courageous and valorous people of Iran.
"Throughout history men have had an intuitive understanding that the mind can be manipulated. Elaborate strategies have been worked out to achieve this end. Ecstasy rituals, frightening masks, loud noises, eerie chants all have been used to compel the crowd to accept the beliefs of their leaders. Even if an ordinary man at first resists a cruel shaman or medicine man, the hypnotizing ritual gradually breaks his will."
Those who have lived in Muslim countries in general and a Shi'a country in particular would understand the repetition of the rituals and the reinforcement of the mass brainwashing technique. As a matter of fact, it is through these rituals that they have been successful in enflaming people's emotions to commit crimes for the sake of Islam and their thirst for power.
Iranian people don't expect the world to come to Iran and fight for them. Every decent and freedom loving nation knows that the Iranian people have the right and the duty to change their form of government. One American stated that "What we can do for the Iranian people is to lend them our support: Not to fight on their behalf, but to stand by their side. To cheer their struggle and clearly signal that we have no intention of propping up the clerics, no matter what, in their growing desperation, they may offer us in exchange."
Today, we are standing tall and declaring our perpetual commitment to the liberation of Iran and her people. Today, we are marching for the support of the voiceless students and the Iranian people in Iran. Today, our demonstration is inspired by demonstrations of the Iranian people in Iran, which were in turn inspired, by demonstrations of the students against the dictatorship and barbarity of the Islamic Republic in Iran. We shall all demonstrate until every Iranian is free. Today, everyone is an Iranian.

For distribution to all freedom loving human beings
Gary, Bush's mistake (HW Bush1991) was in listening to Colin Powell. It was Powell who professionally 'sugested' that it was time to stop the fighting -- before the objective of crushing the Republican Guard had been achieved -- because the Press was beginning to get upset about the "highway of death"....
Another, critical reason: a side guarantee to the KSA that Iraq would not be toppled. KSA wanted Saddam's evil military to stand between them and the totally hated Shia in Iran.
BTW the Oil being exported in the ME is overwhelmingly from Shi'ite tribal lands: Eastern KSA, Southern Iraq, Iran. One of the primary reasons for the absolute police state in KSA is to keep the Shia down. KSA has even let lower status Yemenis to circulate incountry to balance their population weakness.
( Yemenis can travel freely in KSA without a passport or visa -- but are considered social inferiors. Bin Ladin's family came from Yemen and made their superfortune in construction -- way too much work and dirt for a Saudi even in a management role. By marriage and superwealth, the Bin Ladins were able to transition to Saudi tribal status. However, their up from poverty family history should not be forgotten. It is this taint that is a primal drive for Osama.)
And, did I say, that the Mullahs have attempted to kill the Royals in the past; that Shi'ites are not trusted in serious command positions; and IIRC are not allowed to serve in the National Guard. The Guard is a parallel army to the Saudi Arabian Army with even more combat power. Naturally, Shi'ites can never be members of the Wahhabi 'in club' and its massive private police force:the Muttawa. [ Think SD ]
One last bit:
The 1991 uprising was queered by the involvement of the Iranians. Indeed, it is questionable whether the uprising in the south was that spontaneous. The Mullahs sent their irregulars across the border in force -- and Bush found out about it. So, it made him even more convinced that Powell's advice was wise.
The ensuing massacre was untidy, though, and must be considered a family sin to be redeemed by the son. Since our VP was Powell's boss, he has self-redemption as a motivator. I can't understand how correcting a staggering error is reason to now fault them. It is also untrue that Iraq would have been attacked solely with this motive.
The primary and overwhelming reason that Bush went to war was to revalidate the UN and the rule of law. Look back to his speach at the UN. What kind of utility would/could the UN hold if Saddam sucessfully il Duce'ed it? It would go the way of the League of Nations almost immediately. All modern international law is based on its formalisms and structures. Essentially all multilateral structures especially including the post WWII trade regimes depend on the UN 'fiction'. If the UN were to fly apart then the entire Post World War Two legal fabric would lose its courthouse.
Without international law and faith in its formalisms the prospect of 'side wars' would take off. Think India vs Pakistan. Flawed as it is, the UN had to be saved. We need this platform for continuous diplomacy. It maintains connections 24/7/365 so that a war scale up like WWI does not happen again.
BUSH HAD TO DO IT. BUSH SAVED IRAQ AND THE UN. Look at the gratitude....
