Am I missing something, but why are we leaving Lebanon out here?

Lebanon remains the main headquarters for Hezbollah that is known by the state depoartment to receive the greatest financial aid of all the terrorist groups combined. Believe me, they are not just focused on Israel and they receive money fron Iran and Saudia Arabia and many other middle eastern countries.

Since there are no troops from these countries, it would seem the kidnapper's demands have been met already, and the hostages should be released today...

I'm not sure he was referring to one of the obvious players. I remember hearing a discussion on how much evidence is pointing toward Russia, Germany, and France, cooperating with the terrorists etc, and that it would ber like opening a Pandora's box if all the data were to be revealed.

Do not forget about or dismiss china. In spite of all the warm & fuzzy photo ops & expanding economic ties, they still consider the USA as their enemy & are preparing for an eventual war against us. Facilitating terrorist activities against us for now serves their purposes. At the least, it distracts our attention from them as they ramp up for the coming takeover of Taiwan. If the terrorists are able to greatly increase their success (see the recent articles about the bin laden-suitcase nuke connection) & deal a crippling blow, the chinese may feel emboldened to the point of direct confrontation.

The Paris court sentenced Bardot, 69, for remarks in her book "A Scream in the Silence," an outspoken attack on gays, immigrants and the
jobless that shocked France last year.
In the book, she laments the "Islamization of France" and the "underground and dangerous infiltration of Islam."
"Mme. Bardot presents Muslims as barbaric and cruel invaders, responsible for terrorist acts and eager to dominate the French to the extent of wanting

I would consider Ethiopia more of a battleground in the struggle with islam rather than a enemy of the U.S.

Ethiopia used to have a Christian majority in the recent past that was in control of the government. There is still a large Christian presence (some estimates say 40%+ of the population) that still has some political power. Ethiopia is fighting it's own battles with Somali rebel jihadists in its Ogaden territory. A wider internal problem is with a growing, and restive, muslim majority that resents the traditional Christian political influence. And we all know what the muslims want when it comes to government.

No, Ethiopia is a front line, and soon to be victim, if the non-muslim world doesn't step up and aid those with whom we have common cause.

Some officials blamed the blast on Abu Sayyaf, one of several Islamic militant groups fighting the government on the country's southern islands.
The group has been linked by Washington to Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network. Abu Sayyaf members have been blamed for a number of terror attacks across the Philippines.

In fact, the Somali that was indicted in Columbus Ohio last month for lying about his destination when he left the US is thought to have been in Ethiopia at a terrorist training camp.

I think it would be prudent of me to point out right about now that 7 aircraft battlegroups of the United States of America have been steaming towards Taiwan for a few days now (may be there right now for all I know).

While I don't any Ethiopians first hand, I did have the experience of being driven by an Ethiopian cab driver from the airport two weeks ago. In talking with him he explained that he was Tigre and a Christian. Naturally asked him what life was like living in that part of the world, in the middle of dar-al-Islam. Although he was from the mountains, and had no immediate muslim neighbors, he none the less attested to the growing problems the Christians in the muslim dominant areas were facing (not unlike almost every other conversation I've had with a non-muslim who has lived in a muslim dominant land).

That said, I still did not trust him to honestly charge my fair without the meter. Even then, he still tried to screw me out of more money until he found out we were driving to my home and I knew the way.

Maybe his dealings with me were a facet of Ethiopian culture or that of cabbies in general...

Graham is OBVIOUSLY talking about Saudi Arabia, but everything that our government finds out about them is instantly made "classified" by the Whitehouse so as not to offend the Saudis.

Too bad nobody in the Whitehouse has the nerve to say anything bad about the Saudis, nor does anyone in the mainstream media (except a certain gentleman from Flint.) And the few politicians with the sand to do so are prohibited from doing so in the interest of "national security" (i.e. protecting the Saudis and their business partners.)

The only place I have heard any criticism of Saudi Arabia in the popular media was at a recent showing of a documentary movie. In it, the director was interviewing an author that wrote a book about the Saudi's dirty dealings.

The two men were standing across the street from the massive Saudi embassy in Washington, D.C. After about two minutes, the Secret Service Police showed up to harass them. The director of the film asked, "Is it common practice for the Secret Service to provide protection for diplomats?" The agent answered, "No, it isn't common."

Yes, the oft-vilified Mike Moore is the ONLY media type that has the cajones to say anything about the Saudis. People, you really should see the film.

I guess for most of you, it boils down to this question: "Is it more important to fight the jihad by exposing the Saudis as world-wide financiers of terror, or to not rock the boat in order to protect their business partners (the Bush family)?"

Mike Moore has already decided what his priorities are... maybe some of you have too.

And another thing about the movie: he didn't whine about Israel at all.

Saudi Arabia? I already know that they are part of the problem because of their elites providing money to Al Qaeda channeled through charity fronts -- but this in itself does not equate to a state actually taking direct action in an attack upon the United States like 9/11.

The Saudis also nurture the vipers nest of Wahhabism and this must be dealt with one way or another in the not-so-distant future.

However, I somehow think that Graham is not insinuating that the culprit here is the Saudis. I got the feeling it will be someone less obvious.

If it does turn out to be Saudi Arabia, we will see that the leaders of that country are split in their allegiance to the United States and a civil war will most likely ensue, with true allies to the U.S. on one side (Prince Bandar) and Al Qaeda and Saudi Princes like Nayef (Interior Minister) on the other.

Deservedly, the links between Saudi Arabia and the USA grow increasingly strained, due to the Saudis’ stubborn inability to DROP their racist, Wahabi dogmas - continuing to covertly support Jihadism via numerous tricks - and to their ongoing deceit (and self-deception) in the "War on Terror".

Proven not to have worked by the recent terror-offensive in Saudi Arabia, once - until not all that long ago - in order to keep el-Qaeda off the House of Saud’s back, a rudimentary way for the Kingdom to have offered to appease it would’ve been for Saudi Arabia (now being named as a customer of Pakistan’s Dr A. Q. Khan, in addition to Iran, Libya, North Korea, Syria, Egypt and Algeria) to have covertly assisted - somehow or another - in the clandestine procurement of nuclear weapons or commodities which el-Qaeda desires for its schemes.

A caveat: it’s intrinsic to the highly-classified subject of rogue nukes that whatever "reliable" data sporadically crops up, any "conclusions" must remain - finally - assumption (most likely, largely to be wrong, to boot - but then, truth can be stranger than fiction).

Nowadays, into the bargain, there’s a deal of diverse DISINFORMATION in play on this topic. Trading on ignorance and apathy, this accumulates out of a miasma of ordinary misinformation, mixed in with lots of contradictory and deflective intelligence "clutter", of different types and sources. So far, though, some of it looks generally to have boiled down to the following.

Allegedly, a batch of six of the former-USSR’s tactical "suitcase nukes" went missing between 1993 and 1996, probably swiped by the Russian Mafia, to be sold on. As well, there’s a story that an ex-Soviet ICBM-warhead containing six "independent-re-entry vehicles" was purloined round about then. Unfortunately, it’s perfectly plausible that such robberies DID indeed take place.

Atomic devices of these types require skilled, regular maintenance - particularly those of Soviet make. These are slightly cruder than their US equivalents, which are audited in detail every month, at minimum, needing at least minor adjustments as a result of most of these routine checks, demanding the application of highly specialized methods and equipment.

While difficult to keep these munitions functional (specially in the field), it’s not impossible. In Russia today, there’d be ample veteran military technicians, prepared to sell their expertise for big bucks (of which the Islamo-fascists have no shortage), to keep any stolen bombs "nominal".

There are tales of the Saudis having bought two Russian "suitcases": by repute, the King got one and immediately commanded its dispatch by night to a remote, top-secret bunker someplace, but as his senility raced on, he’s fully forgotten where - when he’s awake, he slouches drooling and incontinent on a plush sofa in his palace, watching old American cartoons.

The other supposedly went to one of his brothers, a senior Prince who’s vacuum-sealed his A-bomb in a grand, bejewelled, gold and crystal show-case, tightly secured down in a luxurious, heavily-armoured, underground vault, to which he occasionally brings his closest guests, to admire and commune together in their degenerate "divaniyas".
