It does not matter that time and again the Americans have -- far from giving Israel carte blanche -- pressured Israel to make concessions it never should have, including its precipitous withdrawal from the Sinai in 1956, its handing over the Sinai again, along with 3 airfields, oilfields discovered by Israel, and tens of billions of dollars worth of infrastructure, to an Egypt that had no intention of fulfilling even its modest commitments under the Camp David Accords forced down Begin's throat by Jimmy Carter (so taken with Arafat that he offered his services as an unpaid advisor on public relations -- according to Douglas Brinkley's biography)and the still-idiotically pontificating Zbigniew Brzezinski.

Both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are our enemies and have only been employing political calculus to gain the use of our troops, treasure and human capital to put them in a better position to advance against us. We naively did so in the hope that our offer of friendship would be reciprocated.
There is no possibility of friendship because the Koran and ahadiths do not permit "true, pure" Muslims to interact on an equal basis with infidels, non-Muslims.
Among other things, the Saudis have repaid us by spreading Wahabbism to almost every U.S. mosque, by spreading money throughout the halls of Congress and through the entrenched bureaucracy that actually runs the government.
In academia they have, using the carrot of educational grants, they have manipulated educational programs, distorted textbooks, and created nests of political activitists to their causes, rather than to those that favor the needs of the United States.
Pakistan allowed a thriving nuclear smuggling program to go unchecked for decades. It houses hate-spewing terror madrassas, graduating thousands of new jihadists every year as well as serving as a haven for known terrorists.
How we can possibly call these people our friends is a mystery to me.

24 July 2004 - Why “Political Correctness” and the “Misconception of implied rights” can be the downfall in the fight against terrorism
We demand that our airport security screeners are more thorough, yet we give credence to a complaint when a Muslim male age 20-35 complains that he was “unjustly” pulled out for additional screening. He is here in a temporary Visa and somehow his rights were violated?
We expect our Law Enforcement to apprehend and arrest terrorist members or suspected terrorist members, yet we insist that they do not “Profile” suspects. In fact in New York, it is a very serious offense for a police officer to “Profile” an individual; in the meanwhile New York City is one of the top three targets for a potential terrorist attack.
Enemy combatants in Guantanemo have lawyers (Yes, American lawyers) lined up to defend them because it is “their right” to have a lawyer? Which, in essence means that when we are at war, every prisoner of war brought to an American Military Detention Facility would have the right to a trial?
We will not state officially in any way, shape or form that the war we are engaged in with Al Qaeda and other militant Islamic groups is in essence a Religious War, although the enemy combatants and the leaders of such Terrorist groups openly state that this is a war of Islam against the rest of the world. If we were to say this, it would be very Politically Incorrect and would cause uproar worldwide.
The Patriot Act which was signed into legislation is a good tool, if used properly to fight terrorism. We are such an open society with rights and privileges that as it stood before September 11, 2001, it would have been very difficult to enforce the measures that were required to stop such events from taking place.
In many ways, we are our own worst enemies when it comes to fighting terrorism within our borders. Immediately after they reopened the skies to air travel, intense security measures were put in place with many plans on the table as well, to be implemented as approved by law makers. At first people were understanding and receptive to the point of praising the FAA and the government for enacting such stringent measures, but slowly and surely, after only a few months, the people started whining about the security measures being used.

• They was humiliated having to remove my shoes and being frisked
• Invasion of privacy issues
• Searches appeared to be directed at Muslim males 20-35 years of age
The list of complaints goes on and on. Most every day you turn on the news or read news from around the world, some watchdog group, or equivalent of ACLU and NAACP for various nationalities are popping up and barking about how someone has had their right violated by US security measures, somewhere. The most amusing part, which has no legitimacy at all, is when somebody that isn’t even a citizen of the USA is whining how their rights were violated.
My question is “What rights” are they referring to? The fact that they are foreigners standing on US soil or being detained in a US detention facility, doesn’t imply, nor does it grant immediate rights as it would a US citizen. There is a process for a foreign individual to become a US citizen. It isn’t a five minute process. If you are shuttled here from a battlefield where you were taken prisoner, you didn’t become a US citizen during the flight.
Further, my humble opinion is, when you are here in this country and not a citizen, you are a guest. Act like a guest and be happy that you are even allowed here. Be thankful that the American way is to allow foreigners to enter this country and become citizens, because quite frankly it was the opinion of many Americans that after September 11th, 2001 that we shut down the borders period and not allow anyone in until we could scrutinize who was here in this country.
People have somehow distanced themselves from the tragic events of September 11, 2001. We quit showing the film clips of the WTC because it wasn’t politically correct to show the carnage. The first clips that showed people diving to their deaths were immediately censored by the news media, as to show those desperate acts was not “politically correct”. My opinion is that every now and then we should go back and as Americans review what happened visually, so we do not soften in our resolve, so we do not lose sight of what happened.
So we struggle on the seesaw of trying to protect America while at the same time we want to be viewed as “Politically Correct” by the rest of the world. Is this much attention being applied to being Politically Correct worth it? What will be the true cost of it?
I fear the answer to that question.

25 July 2004 - New Virus Claiming to be Bin Laden Suicide Images Spreading Through Internet
A virus purporting to show images of Osama Bin Laden's suicide has been unleashed onto the internet, security experts are warning.
The virus was attached to a message posted on thousands of Usenet newsgroups, security firm Sophos said.
The message is designed to entice recipients to open a file that unleashes malicious software code.
The founder of al-Qaeda is blamed for a string of attacks, including those of 11 September 2001.
The message claims that Bin Laden's hanged body was found by journalists with TV news channel CNN, and point to a website where a file of images can be downloaded.
But the file contains a Trojan horse program which can secretly install code to enable attackers to gain remote control of a computer, Sophos said.

Rights group: Thousands of Indonesian housemaids being abused in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) - Thousands of Indonesian maids in Malaysia work inhumane hours for almost no pay, with many enduring sexual assault and other abuse by their employers, Human Rights Watch said.
Numerous maids shared complaints such as having to work seven days a week, sleeping scarcely five hours per night and being forbidden to step out of their employers' homes or contact their families through phone calls and letters, the New York-based group said in a report Wednesday.
Human Rights Watch said it compiled the report from recent interviews with maids, state officials, lawyers and nongovernment organizations.
More than 10 percent of the maids interviewed allegedly endured sexual assaults or harassment. Some claimed they were repeatedly raped by employers, while others were groped and fondled.
"Indonesian domestic workers are treated like second-class humans," LaShawn Jefferson, executive director of the international group's women's rights division said in the report.
Government policies in the two neighboring countries are inadequate to protect the maids, who comprise 90 percent of Malaysia's 240,000 foreign domestic workers, the report said. Malaysia is one of Southeast Asia's richest wealthiest nations.
According to state-compiled statistics, nearly 18,000 foreign maids - mostly Indonesians - ran away from their employers last year, often due to complaints of tough working conditions, said Human Rights Watch researcher Nisha Varia.
Maids from the Philippines, Cambodia and Sri Lanka also work in Malaysia, but some of those countries issue labor contracts that determine maximum working hours, ban the use of violence and warn employers to be fair to their maids.
"Thousands of Indonesian domestic workers in Malaysia are being abused," Human Rights Watch said. "The two governments must amend labor laws, rigorously monitor labor agencies and provide quality support services to the victims."
Malaysia's Human Resources Ministry said earlier this week it hopes to sign a memorandum of understanding with Indonesia by September to protect maids from abuse, improve working conditions and bar Malaysians who mistreat their domestic workers from hiring maids again.
According to the report, many interviewees suffered physical scars or were hospitalized after being punched, kicked and struck with kitchen implements for making mistakes in their work. Others alleged they were deprived of meals and forced to sleep on bathroom floors.
Many maids, who largely come from poor backgrounds, claimed they rarely receive their full monthly wages of about $100.

Why is it that everytime I read your comments I am overcome by the most intense spell of de-ja-vu.
Your statistics of muslims are of course completely wrong , there are perhaps less than 700 million of them world wide and there are nowhere near 50million of them in the west, and even that number is rapidly declining through murders by extreme anti-islamists and apostacy. The rest of them in N.Africa, the middle east and Asia, are mostly of third world countries, where famine,disease,bad hygeine/food poisoning, overcrowding , poverty,unemployment,drug addiction and of course an AIDS epidemic rule more than the sharia does. The reason there are so many muslims is because of over-populating because the third worlders don't know any better and even they are out-numbered.
