This bland statement sounds horrendously sinister: a chilling, immaculate euphemism for GENOCIDE.

The press concedes that there’s a”humanitarian disaster shaping” there and international NGOs concur - without properly telling anybody HOW all this death and suffering might have arisen. There’s been coverage of the weather there in Darfur: increasing rain - could the “humanitarian catastrophe” have been caused by floods? Or drought (it’s a desert, after all)? Was there a big earthquake? A tidal wave? Severe fires? A plague of locusts?

That last one’s getting closer to the truth. This is almost a re-run of Rwanda (again featuring Kofi Annan), but instead of a ferocious spasm of intense, tribal, racist killing, as in Rwanda, Darfur’s a FULL CAMPAIGN of ethnic, racist mayhem – semi-clandestinely sponsored, for the past year at the minimum, by the central government of the Sudan (sitting smugly today on the UN Human Rights Commission). It’s employing the Janjawid for GENOCIDE, one of the key things which the UN was first established to oppose - not to disgracefully ignore, as nowadays.

Amnesty International (!) reports that sometimes accompanying the Janjawid are “haqawas”, groups of female Arab singers, who provide the "mood music" for the Jihadis' brutality and butchery, “on the ground”. Some sample lyrics: “You are gorillas/ You are black/ Your blood runs like water/ We take your goods/ We chase you from your homes/ Our cattle will eat on your land./ The power of Omar Hassan al-Bashir [President of the Sudan] belongs to the Arabs/ We will kill you till the end”. Does the old phrase “Hymns of Hate” sound familiar here?

Iran is next only if the Saudi tribe doesn't lose its grip first. The Bush administration took a tremendous political risk in implementing the classic honeypot strategy in Iraq. They knew that this centuries-old military doctrine was the only meaningful response to the global threat of jihad that found its way to the shores of the American homeland on 9/11. They knew that it would take time, perhaps two or three years, to educate the median voter in the US on the wisdom of the strategy.

The Democratic Party leadership is desperately trying to stall the dawning of its wisdom in the collective American consciousness before the election but they appear to be failing. The American people have an insatiable appetite for the truth. Because America is a free society in which information is exchanged at a velocity and on a scale that is unlike any other place on the planet, the American people collectively learn at a rate that is nonpareil.

Knowledge will defeat the scourge of jihad. The man in the street in America is learning the ugly truth about the Islamic ideology, the true cause of the attacks of 9/11. The political momentum that results from this knowledge as it takes greater hold of the collective consciousness of the American voters will allow bolder and more covert focus of the might of the nation on the task of expunging from the planet yet again, the threat of the poisonous Islamic ideology to the civilized world.

gives a pretty good breakdown of Iranian equipment. The Iranian military forces are not as capable as the sheer numbers indicate.

Briefly, Air Force has lots of aircraft; most are non-mission capable - parts. The Army has quite a few tanks (1500) and a lot of artillery - mostly towed. Their most capable tank is the T-72 which under the best conditions gives away about 800 meters of range to an M1. Towed artillery is terribly vulnerable to counter-battery fire. They have a small, littoral navy, also hamstrung by lack of spares. Lack of spares also means that not much effective training is being done.
It's basically a poorly maintained, 1980's era military force. I would define conventional military operations in Iran as a "target rich environment".

Nuclear weapons would change this somewhat. But nuclear weapons are not a panacea. Having nuclear weapons is a lot like taking hostages - as soon as you kill the first hostage, the rules change.

Oh, I almost forgot. WE are not the ones hiding in caves.

I believe the residents of Darfur who are being persecuted are Muslim (unlike the other black residents of Southern Sudan who are also being murdered and enslaved) who happen to be black. If this is the case then the term jihad doesn't apply. It's murder, racism and genocide.

I watched a special on TV and it dealt with the growth of Islam in non-Islamic countries,well it followed the path of Richard Reed (you know,the Shoe-icide bomber now in the OZ ) and his brainwashing into killing for Allah.
The special looked at Islam in prisons and one convert made parole,but it didn't take long for him to go back to crime and drugs.
He blamed it on working beside us infidels and not staying rooted in Islam. I think the problem was that while in prison it was the structured system that made Islam easy to follow,once he relied on his free will and Allah's power he discovered how flimsy the Quran's teachings were. Since no Muslim businesses would hire a ex-con he found foregiveness and compassion in a non-Muslim business.He was glad to be back in jail to refocus on Islam and pleas Allah,although I think they return because they feel bad about leaving their brothers behind.
The Iraqi prisoners might have asked to get it up the boop-chute and wanted 8x10 to show their other bum-buddies. I've seen allot of Arab women here and there's a reason why Muslim men keep them covered,believe me,the Burqa isn't so bad,it hides the mustache and the bad-breath.
Being stuck around females like that,I guess the men start to look pretty good to Ahmed and Ali.
