Relax, Mr. Kerry: nukes, but no WMD's. And seriously, why isn't this on the front page of the New York Times and the Washington Post? From UPI, with thanks to "Allah":
Baghdad, Iraq, Jul. 21 (UPI) -- Iraqi security reportedly discovered three missiles carrying nuclear heads concealed in a concrete trench northwest of Baghdad, official sources said Wednesday. The official daily al-Sabah quoted the sources as saying the missiles were discovered in trenches near the city of Tikrit, the hometown of ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
"The three missiles were discovered by chance when the Iraqi security forces captured former Baath party official Khoder al-Douri who revealed during interrogation the location of the missiles saying they carried nuclear heads," the sources said.
They pointed out that the missiles were actually discovered in the trenches lying under six meters of concrete and designed in a way to unable sophisticated sensors from discovering nuclear radiation.
So, what did Joe Wilson say again?
Nuclear arms reportedly found in Iraq??? Oh oh… does this mean that Michael Moore will have to do a rewrite on his latest propaganda piece? George jr couldn’t hope for anything better than this, as well as Tony Blair.
“Rejoice, your grandchildren will be weapons inspectors.”
Just looking at the wording, I'd guess these were depleted uranium. I think it would be trumpeted loudly if they found nuclear warheads on ICBMs, which is what they would have you infer, but don't explicitly state.
As much as I'd love teh find to be legitimate, it sounds fishy at this point.
Agreed. Fingers and toes crossed that this is real, but so far I see no verifying reports on Fox News, etc.
The opposers of Bush will either claim that the missles were planted by us, or that they were held until this time period because of the election......
It's too bad this nation can't deport Michael Moore (we will need a huge crane), and unite against the Islamic faction.
Smokin' gun.........It would appear that we now have it. What the opposers fail to realize is that not only did Hussein have more than enough time to ship his WNDs to Syria, but Iraq is not an easy place to root out psychotic sludge like Zarqawi, let alone missles.
They've proven that they'll even hide weapons in mosques, so finding them was never going to be easy, and would take time.
This is a little lengthy, but this might be an appropriate place for this.-- These are documented comments made by the democrats leading up to the war with Iraq. And what are these same people saying now . Our troops are in harms way and they politicize the war.
One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to

President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998.
"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal

Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999.
"There is no doubt that . Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons
programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs
continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam
continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a
illicit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten
the United States and our allies."
Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others,
Dec, 5, 2001.
"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a
threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate
of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the
means of delivering them."
Sen. Carl Levin (d, MI), Sept. 19, 2002.
"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical
weapons throughout his country."
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.
"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to
deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in
power."
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.
"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seing and developing
weapons of mass destruction."
Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002.
"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October1998. We are confident
that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological
weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his
chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate
that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002.
"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority
to use force - if necessary - to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe
that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real
and grave threat to our security."
Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002.
"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively
to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the
next five years . We also should remember we have alway s underestimated the
progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."
Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002,
"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every
significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his
chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has
refused to do."
Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002.
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that
Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons
stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also
given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members.
It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue
to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will
keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002
"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction. "Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation. And now he has continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real ...
Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003.
NOW THE DEMOCRATS SAY PRESIDENT BUSH LIED, THAT THERE NEVER WERE ANY WMD'S
AND HE TOOK US TO WAR FOR HIS OIL BUDDIES??? Right!!! P
Well, things are even more clear than this. Last night on HARDBALL, Senator Graham flat out stated YES when questioned whether any other nations besides Iran helped Al Qaeda -- and even more clearly, were any states directly involved with the 9-11 attack.
YES.
Folks, when this all finally gets put on the table by the President, you know as well as I do that the War is going to amp up and declarations of war could and should be on the table.
Why is this not on the front page? Because even here in the Great State, we don't believe a word Dubbya says. If the man had been honest and said, "of course it's about oil, we need it, they've got it," he would have more support, actually a lot more support. No one would blame Israel (well fewer would), and Iran which really is a worry wouldn't get the snide "sure" response.
But he didn't tell the truth, Americans died and are dying for a lie. Trouble is the US and the entire world are paying for his untruths. If he really thinks this war is about terrorism, WMD, etc., let his daughters enlist.
Moron,
We've spent far more money fighting this war than we will ever gain in favorable oil prices.
Sell your lies at the Democratic Underground forums if you want, but that crap doesn't fly here.
Eneri:
The only people I see lying about their(documented) positions are the democrats.
I don`t want to act like a Ted Kennedy, but would you please clearly point out to the choir here, some clear and documented examples where the President and his team have deliberatly lied to the American people?
Well it appears that this story may not be all it is cracked up to be, I contacted a friend of mine who is a journalist and he managed to find me the following:
Iraq Interior Ministry Says Report on Nukes 'Stupid'
Reuters
Wednesday, July 21, 2004; 9:29 AM
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraq's Interior Ministry dismissed as "stupid" a report in a local newspaper Wednesday that said three nuclear missiles had been found near the town of Tikrit.
A senior U.S. military official told reporters he had no information on the report in the newspaper al-Sabah. He said officials were checking the report.
Asked by Reuters about the report, a spokesman at the Interior Ministry said: "It's stupid."

Sorry Dubya, I really was rooting for you and nothing would make me happier than seeing a long line of dimwhitted peacenics, liberals, and apologists bend over and and pay homage to the altar of common sense...but that will have to wait till another day
Eneri:
Do a little research here.
1. Did America go to war against Germany (twice) for economic reasons?
2. Did America go to war against Japan for economic reasons?
3.Did America go to war against North Korea for economic reasons?
4. Did America go to war against communists in Vietnam for economic reasons?
5. Did America go to war against Afghanistan for
economic reasons?
6. Experts estimate that based on the cost of the war in Iraq up to now ,it would take 13 years to pay for the war with revenues from Iraqi oil.
Aaahh the tired old "war for oil"...once again if the US had wanted the oil, they could have taken it...plain taken it. They would have bombed that country until there was nothing left except oil fields, secured the borders and owned it...same for saudi, lets face it not one of those mid east countries could protect themselves from a girl scout troop let alone the US military (that is if the military were allowed to do their job to their fullest capabilities without worrying about offending "holy sites")
Shocking that Iraq would deny having nukes...just shocking, this from the country that broadcast worldwide that there were "no Americans in baghdad" as US tanks rolled by in the background...the Iraqis lie, nah, and islam is really the "religion of peace"...
I'd love to believe this story as accurate. Even more, if it is accurate, I would love for it to be front page in the mainstream media.
Unfortunately, we've had a couple of these false alarms that proved to be inaccurate that have only served to harm the effort in Iraq.
I never agreed with the premise for action in Iraq, but unlike Eneri, the ideologue, I am actually hoping for some substantial evidence to justify the invasion rather than taking a stand against the U.S. in hopes that bush is totally discredited.
I know who the real enemy is, and it isn't Bush or the United States.
Iraq and nukes????????
It just can't be! After all, the Dhimmicrats and talking heads have assured of that there were never any nukes in Iraq.
"Your children will clean our toilets!"
Iraq was not a threat to us nor a terrorist country, anyway Dubbya said he had "proof of WMD ready to be fired at the US.........sure
Did they have them at one time? Of course, Daddy Bush and the Russians supplied them well, then watched as the Kurds were murdered. Where are they now, if I had to guess I would say Syria.
Democratic Underground was and is a neo-fascist/anti-Semitic/anti-American site. I don't attend, sorry you do.
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong,is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."
- Theodore Roosevelt
Just because Iraq wouldnt attack the US using their own army (no muzzie country would have the balls to do that) doesnt mean they werent a threat...we know that sadaam was funding suicide bombers...who else was he funding...we also know that there were trainig camps in Iraq...wonder who they were training...
Muslim countries wont attack on their own...they will give shelter and financial aid to the terrorists...terrorists that come from many different muslim countries...making it difficult if not impossible to war against muslim terror...because not one singel muzzie country would have the nerve to attack...they finance terror and then sit back and say "its not us"...and yes I am including saudi.

You spend way to much time reading those underground books, step out from that basement and a take a better objective look as to whats going on around you my friend.

Spinning the Sarin
Tests confirm that artillery shell that blew up in Iraq did indeed contain sarin--between three quarts' and a gallon's worth, Fox News reports. Sarin Nerve Agent Bomb Explodes in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - A roadside bomb containing sarin nerve agent exploded near a U.S. military convoy, the U.S. military said Monday. Two people were treated for ``minor exposure,'' but no serious injuries were reported.
``The Iraqi Survey Group confirmed today that a 155-millimeter artillery round containing sarin nerve agent had been found,'' said Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt, the chief military spokesman in Iraq. ``The round had been rigged as an IED (improvised explosive device) which was discovered by a U.S. force convoy.
``A detonation occurred before the IED could be rendered inoperable. This produced a very small dispersal of agent,'' he said.

IRAQI URANIUM NOW IN U.S. LABS
The good news: U.S. troops and scientists have taken a heap of radioactive material out of insecure locations in Iraq. The bad news: they may have brought the stuff to insecure locations here in America.

News Coverage as a Weapon
Historian John Terraine notes that unit casualty rates during the Civil War were close to those experienced by the British Army on the Somme. The 1/Newfoundland Regiment lost 84 % of its men on that fatal July 1, 1916. But the 1st Texas Regiment lost 82.3% in Antietam and the 1st Minnesota lost 82% at Gettysburg. Nor were these exceptional. "In the course of the Civil War 115 regiments (63 Union and 52 Confederate) sustained losses of more than 50 percent in a single engagement". Losses during World War 2 were just as brutal. Although the average loss per individual mission was often under 5% for the pilots who flew in the British Bomber Command, the fact that they flew 30 missions per tour meant a crew had less than a 1 in 4 chance of completing it. Once you signed on, there was a 75% statistical chance you wouldn't survive. Nor were these estimates far from the truth. Almost sixty percent of Bomber Command, a total of 55,000 men, were killed. They had an easy time compared to German U-boat crewmen, who lost 630 men out of every thousand. Nations required a huge pool of manpower and high birthrates to sustain losses on this scale. Russia alone suffered twenty million deaths during World War 2. Even Yugoslavia, a country whose role in the conflict is hardly remembered as central, lost 1.6 million killed. Defeat in that conflict came to those whose armies were driven from the field, whose cities were reduced to rubble and whose manpower resources could no longer continue the struggle.

Coincidences
The circumstances fueling the account by Lee Gordon of the London Telegraph has so many eerie similarities to the New York Times John Burns piece on the Golden Mosque that they fairly jump out. A team from a writer or newspaper respected by conservatives is captured on the road. The journalists are taken to a picturesque location where they are first greeted with hostility, then granted surprising liberty. A sense of shared danger bonds them with their captors. Scenes are provided to lend color. Due to a surprising coincidence, the captured journalists stumble on information every Western intelligence agency wants to know. The preparations to defend the Golden Mosque, the fate of the missing German counterterrorism agents. Then, as quickly as they were captured, they are released. Not for them is the long and slow incarceration of Terry Waite
How Chinagate Led to 9/11
By Jean Pearce
FrontPageMagazine.com | May 25, 2004
As the 9/11 Commission tries to uncover what kept intelligence agencies from preventing September 11, it has overlooked two vital factors: Jamie Gorelick and Bill Clinton. Gorelick, who has browbeaten the current administration, helped erect the walls between the FBI, CIA and local investigators that made 9/11 inevitable. However, she was merely expanding the policy Bill Clinton established with Presidential Decision Directive 24. What has been little underreported is why the policy came about: to thwart investigations into the Chinese funding of Clinton’s re-election campaign, and the favors he bestowed on them in return.
Without an enforcer, the walls might Gorelick’s memo put in place might not have held. But Scruggs acted as that enforcer, and he excelled at it. Scruggs maintained Gorelick’s walls between the FBI and Justice's Criminal Division by threatening to automatically reject any FBI request for a wiretap or search warrant if the Bureau contacted the Justice Department's Criminal Division without permission. This deprived the FBI, and ultimately the CIA, of gathering advice and assistance from the Criminal Division that was critical in espionage and terrorist cases.

UN inspectors: Saddam shipped out WMD before war and after
SPECIAL TO WORLD TRIBUNE.COM

The United Nations has determined that Saddam Hussein shipped weapons of mass destruction components as well as medium-range ballistic missiles before, during and after the U.S.-led war against Iraq in 2003.
The UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission briefed the Security Council on new findings that could help trace the whereabouts of Saddam's missile and WMD program.

WSJ: Precursor WMDs Stockpiled in Iraq
Far from being an isolated incident, yesterday's discovery in Iraq of an artillery shell filled with Sarin gas is just the tip of the iceberg of recently uncovered evidence that Saddam Hussein had a weapons of mass destruction program that was fully operational until the U.S. invaded in March 2003.
Tuesday's Wall Street Journal reports that the U.S. inspectors have found within the last few months "warehouses full of commercial and agricultural chemicals," which, if mixed and packaged properly, "could quickly become chemical weapons."
U.S. forces in Karabala have also recently uncovered 55-gallon drums loaded with chemicals that were said to be "pesticide," some of which were stored in what military sources described as a "camouflaged bunker complex."

``A detonation occurred before the IED could be rendered inoperable. This produced a very small dispersal of agent,'' he said.
The Iraqi Survey Group is a U.S. organization whose task was to search for weapons of mass destruction after the ouster of Saddam Hussein in last year's invasion.
``The round was an old binary-type requiring the mixing of two chemical components in separate sections of the cell before the deadly agent is produced,'' Kimmitt said. ``The cell is designed to work after being fired from an artillery piece.''
He said the dispersal of the nerve agent from a device such as the homemade bomb is ``limited.''
``The former regime had declared all such rounds destroyed before the 1991 Gulf War,'' Kimmitt said. ``Two explosive ordinance team members were treated for minor exposure to nerve agent as a result of the partial detonation of the round.''
In 1995, Japan's Aum Shinrikyo cult unleashed sarin gas in Tokyo's subways, killing 12 people and sickening thousands. In February of this year, Japanese courts convicted the cult's former leader, Shoko Asahara, and sentence him to be executed.
Developed in the mid-1930s by Nazi scientists, a single drop of sarin can cause quick, agonizing choking death. There are no known instances of the Nazis actually using the gas.
Nerve gases work by inhibiting key enzymes in the nervous system, blocking their transmission. Small exposures can be treated with antidotes, if administered quickly.
Antidotes to nerve gases similar to sarin are so effective that top poison gas researchers predict they eventually will cease to be a war threat.

UN experts find evidence of WMD
By Edith M Lederer

UN weapons experts have found 20 engines used in Iraq's banned Al Samoud 2 missiles in a Jordanian scrap yard, along with other equipment that could be used to produce weapons of mass destruction.
Acting chief UN inspector Demetrius Perricos disclosed the discovery today in a closed-door briefing to the UN Security Council.
According to the text of his presentation, Perricos said a similar missile engine had been found in a scrap yard in the Dutch port of Rotterdam, while a request had been made to Turkey, which has also received scrap metal from Iraq. The discoveries raise questions about the fate of material and equipment that could be used to produce biological and chemical weapons as well as banned long-range missiles.
Perricos said UN inspectors do not how much material has been removed from Iraq since the war began in March 2003, and suggested the interim government may want to reconsider "the whole policy for the continued export of metal scrap" once it assumes power on June 30.

FREEDOM - Thx to The Greatest Generation for Preserving It (Must Read)
To my HSPIG and other friends,
OK, I've refrained from spamming mailboxes lately. I've been adding a number of different arts to the HSPIG forums site. I will try to post another digest shortly.
THE FOLLOWING IS A MUST READ. I believe all Americans should read or hear this information. Please share this with all those who will listen. This applies to the blog site trolls, we need their support too.
I received an email from a relative re Judge Young's sentencing remarks to the "Shoe Bomber."
I've posted the reply to a BBC story on him, followed by the CNN transpscript of the Judge's remarks.
Not surprisingly his eloquent remarks did not receive much coverage by the media. May be it's just too trite and un-PC anymore to speak freely of FREEDOM whether under God or not. But if you dig deeply enough you will find this is the very reason why so many in the world nowadays hate Americans and especially the Islamofascists. Go figure!
Well to our enemy, here's to ya, you murdering SOBs!
May the underware of those innocents you have murdered and their blood mutliple one-hundred fold and rain down on your miserable, enlightened, silly little asses and wash you from the face of this earth.

Also in the end of the same UPI article, I think this is worth mentioning.
UPI JULY 21,2004
Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zibari made a surprise request recently to Mohammed el-Baradei, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, to resume inspections for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
"Iraq was not a threat to us nor a terrorist country..."
Really?
Saddam harbored the three most famous Islamic terrorists in the world prior to Osama bin Laden in the persons of Abu Nidal, Abu Abbas, and Abdul Rahmin Yasin. All three carried out attacks against US targets.
All three were welcomed to Iraq by Saddam and lived under his protection.
Eneri, you can try to hide behind convenient quotes, but they do not justify your obvious bias, nor your myopic views that require you to disregard easily obtainable facts to maintain your worldview. But since you like quotes, try these quote on for size:
Oops. A little close to home? Don’t get mad at me about it though. As Harry Truman said:
Have a nice denial.
This just in ....
Huge mushroom cloud behind Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zibari ...
"There are no nukes in Iraq...its "stupid"....
More on this story later...oops there is no "later" now...good night.
To Enri
I guess you didn't read the links in my posts and just shot your mouth off.
Might take a look at it as Bush II has made a fundamental shift in our strategic policy in this region.
This differs from what many rep/dem (Including Bush I) administrations over the last half-century have followed which has given rise to the Islamofascism we are now facing.
And yes this is counter to the interests of the oil-conglomerates, contrary to the what the Bush II bashers are implying, e.g. Michael Moore and crowd.
The free world is now facing a very real, clear and present danger from the Islamofascists whose mission is to kill or convert everyone of us. They are at war with us!
The problem is you and others have failed to realize our country is at war!
Don't believe what is reported in the media on the War on Iraq and the War on Terror. Because of institutional biases, they are presenting a very warped view which is not in proportion and out of perspective. Check my piece out and you will have an understanding of this.
Blessed be for the Internet and Blog Sites like this, which can now freely exchange information without the intervention of political boundaries and the constraints of editorial and corporate boardrooms. They must compete for ratings and circulation by pandering for audiences with blood and gore, "If it bleeds, It leads." This sensationalism/hpying by its very nature distorts the truth.
Before you spout off again at least take the time to read what other's have posted.
Ron Wright
The Washington Times printed an official denial of this story.
oh well.
Did you see the picture of Clinton and his NS advisors on the Drudgereport? Doing their monkey impersonations. Don't you just want to slap 'em all? Hard?
That picture tells it all!
"It's too bad this nation can't deport Michael Moore (we will need a huge crane), and unite against the Islamic faction. "
ROFL! No, No, you're making it too difficult! Just dangle a chili dog infront of his face, lure him down to the NY harbor, and allow the tide to carry his fat butt out to see. FYI: fat floats!
Ofcourse, you could also be patient, and let time take it's course. Obesity kills! :) *sigh*
Why isn't this all over the news?
It may simply not be a true news report, unfortunately. I had my doubts when I noted the report had been filed by someone either with bad spelling and grammar or a person who did not have English as their first language.
Oh, well. This really changes nothing. Liberating Iraq was the right strategic and moral move.
History will prove this.
Do a little research here.
1. Did America go to war against Germany (twice) for economic reasons?
yes, at least in WWI and they went to war against us for one of the only three reasons anyone starts (not finishes) a war: money, power, land
2. Did America go to war against Japan for economic reasons?
yes/go study some history
3.Did America go to war against North Korea for economic reasons?
again yes
4. Did America go to war against communists in Vietnam for economic reasons?
yes, Brown & Roote...read
5. Did America go to war against Afghanistan for
economic reasons?
hell yes!!!
As for the other nasty comments; my only concern is the security of the United States of America. Are we more secure. NO. Are we calling up 70 year olds? YES. People get a map, do your homework, use common sense.
Proof we were lied to, just review any speeches of justification for this war...Terrorist states that should have been invaded, Saudi, Syria, Iran, the PA (not a state but a terrorist organization)all make more sense. Why Iraq? Do your homework instead of blowing right wing smoke. You guys are as bad as those fools at DU.
No one has mentioned this yet, but these missiles can be every bit as damning as a nuke if the warheads are found to contain depleted uranium.
It would mean that a major power willfully sold embargoed weapons to Iraq following the Gulf War.
That would make it both part of, and yet dwarfing, the current oil-for-food scandal. My only question is, if these are found to be DU warheads, who broke the embargo?
How thick is the padding on the walls there, eneri?
ENERI:
You tend to over simplify such things as 'reasons states go to war'. My question to you is: so what if economics is one reason wars are fought? Every nation-state is going to protect it's own interests, even if it means war to do so. Even the American revolutionary war was sparked by competing economic interests.
Tell us how the war against the Taliban was done solely for economic reasons? I want to hear this one. Please don't give some dribble about government spending fueling the military industrial complex.
enri is wrong in making the presumption that there are only three reasons to go to war. While I've heard this weak, overgeneralized statement a dozen times, the repetition (in usually Marxist circles) doesn't make that argument any more valid.
Eneri is wrong on the primary reason the United States entered these wars a consistant five out of five times.
US involvement in WWI stemmed primarily from German attacks on US merchant ships on the high seas, though the sinking of the Lusitania passenger liner by a U-boat was the proximate cause.
The United States was dragged into WWII by Japan's sneak attack on Pearl Harbor.
The United Nations asked the United States for assistance in Korea, and we fought primarily over ideology, which, incidentally, was the proximate cause of our involvement in Vietnam as well.
Afghanistan was also triggered by a sneak attack, this time from Muslim extremists.
Unless, of course, the mighty international glass cartels had interest in a monopoly of Afghanistan's sand.
Eneri, when your ideological needs force you to start making claims that appear absurb even in the context of a junior high school history book, it is probably time for you to re-examine your position.
Also, Blockbuster called, and they want that copy of Conspiracy Theory back.
You've had it way too long.
Eneri,
Evidently you are a left wing idiot, who suffers from the affliction of liberalism, and your condition is terminal.
From your above comments sounds as if you get your information from the Islamo-fascists ,ie Al Jazzera and or the Hollywood leftwing looneys ie ,Michael Moore, that fat American-hateing slob and all the rest of that crowd.
Your comments, reveal your lack of knowdlege and clearly shows your ignorance.
The conservative movement in this country, the US of A is growing stronger and larger daliy.
You and your ilk are and will always will be in the minority.
Do your homework, instead of blowing yourself

Hey, children.
I am a democrat/dhimmicrat/demoncrat/dumpocrap/etc. etc. etc. and I have never said that Saddam didn't have WMDs. I have only maintained that he couldn't hit us (or even Europe or even Israel) with them.
Don't worry... this time it was a hoax. Remember, like the sorry French punks that sat idly by while a gang of Islamonazis terrorized an innocent woman, like Kerry's affair with an intern, like Hitlery snubbing the Gold Star Mothers: if it's too good to be true, it probably is. But sometime before November 2nd (probably in October; Rove hasn't yet picked the day) we WILL find WMDs in Iraq. Then you can bray on and on about how terrible I and people like me are.
But I will always maintain that Saddam couldn't even hit Israel, much less us... how can one be sure? Because he didn't attack Israel, that's why. He and people like him LIVE TO HATE Jews, and if he could have hit Israel, he would have.
Meanwhile, Osama Bin Laden laughs from his cave in AfghaniPakistan.
I personally would love to see the Mullahcracy of Iran get toasted, but it ain't gonna happen. First of all, just because they did the (Saudi Arabian) 9-11 terrorists some favors doesn't mean that they (Iranians) were aware that they (the terrorists) intended to attack America. Some Americans helped them too, right? Like the flight school instructors, landlords, car rental shops, etc.
But Iran isn't Iraq, and its not Afghanistan. They have a capable Army, Airforce, and Navy, as well as millions of idiots desparate to sign up as suicide bombers (during the Iraq/Iran War "Human Wave" martyr-squads of thousands of teenage boys and elderly men would run weaponless straight through the minefields in order to make a path for armed soldiers to follow. Think about that and consider how, even right after the fall of Baghdad, there wasn't even one, single sniper in a city of 5 million.
What we should do is get out of Iraq, and take that 5 Billion dollars in welfare we send to Iraq every month and send it to the secular, rational, would-be revolutionaries in Iran that would love to restore Iran to a tolerant, secular, peaceful, democratic society. Let Iraq build it own schools, roads, and army with oil money. (This is by the way, the reason the evil Kerry voted against the 87 Billion dollar handout for Iraq. Because it is a freaking HANDOUT. Not a loan. You see, if it were actually a loan, the millions of unemployed Iraqi engineers, scientists, contractors, etc. would demand that they be hired to rebuild Iraq. But since the American taxpayers are paying, "we" (i.e. W and Cheney) get to decide who gets all those contracts. And-what a coincidence!- the contractor that has got the most contracts is Cheney's "former" company.
Oh yeah, I know a lot of Muslims read this site, so think about this. Some loudmouth pigf*cks in Iran have been spouting off about how when they get the nukes, they will nuke Israel. The rationale is that since Israel is so small, Israel could be completely destroyed, and since "The Ummah" is so big, it could only be scratched, even with a bunch of nukes.
Well, say for instance, Iran nuked Israel (purely hypothetical of course, shyeah right.) For starters, 1.2 million Arab Muslims live in Israel. Secondly, Israel wouldn't just "scratch" Iran, it would demolish the 20 biggest cities in Iran. But (this is the important part guys) they would probably only nuke the bigger cities that border Iraq because the parts that remained would be GIVEN to Israel by the United Nothing (it could happen. At that point (and for a looong time to follow) only the 50-or-so Muslim nations would vote against them) and if not by the UN, by America. The government of Iran would have to pay compensation to every Israeli that lost anything, and pay to relocate every Israeli survivor to their new home (formerly Iran) and Iran would be the NEW Israel. Iran would have to pay to disinter and move every Israeli grave to New Israel, and would have to pay to move every Jewish Synagoge to New Israel. (It can be done... they moved the London Bridge to New Mexico; they can move the Wailing Wall to New Israel.)
Think about it, Iran. Do you want your children to suddenly find themselves living in the New and Improved (and massively larger, and with all the world's sympathy) Israel?
Well, you probably won't think about that, because if you could think, you would go to www.faithfreedom.org or www.secularislam.org and follow the instructions from there.
Relax, Mr. Spencer. It's a hoax. Either that or FOXnews.com doesn't think it's newsworthy.
But be patient... October is right around the corner.
Eneri:
I have a friend that is trying to give away 2 Linda Rhondstat tickets,i`m sure you would like them.
Saddam harbored the three most famous Islamic terrorists in the world prior to Osama bin Laden in the persons of Abu Nidal, Abu Abbas, and Abdul Rahmin Yasin. All three carried out attacks against US targets.
Abu Nidal, terrorist mastermind, involved in Berlin disco bombing where American soldiers were the primary target. Publicly said he was made to feel welcome by Saddam. Lived near Baghdad.
Abu Abbas, mastermind of the Achille Lauro hijacking that resulted in the murder of a disabled American, Leon Klinghoffer. Lived near Baghdad.
Abdul Rahmin Yasin, terrorist bombmaker was the man would built the 1993 WTC bomb. Lived near Baghdad, before and after the bombing.
All three were welcomed to Iraq by Saddam and lived under his protection.
Any day a terrorist dies is a good day for me. But, wasn't Timothy McVeigh harbored by Arizona for a while?
I keep thinking about the Mike Moore interview where seom FOX l'il nazi says "Saddam funded terrorism... he used to send money to the families of suicide bombers in Israel."
Moore responded, "Saudi Arabia does the same thing. Should we invade them too?"
Of course the answer is "YES, we should invade Saudi." But the guy changed the subject.
That's Mike Moore, the only media type that has what it takes to criticize the Saudis and their "religion of peace." Bush won't do it. O'Reilly won't do it. Rush won't do it. Hannity won't do it. I wonder why...
Kind of like France banning the Muslim headgear in their schools... Oklahoma won't do it, Idaho won't do it, Allah-bama won't do it. But France DOES it. Never mind.
It's a bit of a stretch, to say the least, to claim that Saddam knew that these three guys lived in Iraq. It's possible, but is it worth the lives of 900 Soldiers (and counting) and thousands and thousands missing eyes, arms, legs, hands, etc?
I don't think it is, but then again I am pro-military (not just in words) and don't think we should use our military as the world's policeman... dam, that sounds familiar... where have I heard that before?
Mackie,
Eneri is to busy smoking crack...
So, what did Joe Wilson say again?
Posted by: Bob Owens at July 21, 2004 09:40 AM
That there was no evidence that Iraq was trying to buy Uranium Oxide from Niger. And there still isn't.
But Bob Novak punished him, didn't he? Yeah, its always good for the intelligence community to have secret, undercover agents outted by journalists, isn't it? Reeeeal patriotic.
Valerie Plame traveled the world recruiting spies for the CIA... she was so important they even set up phony companies for her "cover."
I bet every person that ever contacted her in Iran, Saudi, Pakistan, etc. has been thoroughly "questioned" by their governments by now. Many have probably had all their secrets (including secrets about America) tortured out of them. But no big whoop, right? After all, nothing is more important than helping Bush. Certainly not something as silly as, oh, I don't know... protecting the identity of secret agents sent to recruit spies for US in other countries.
You sure are a man of principles, Bob Owens.
Just looking at the wording, I'd guess these were depleted uranium. I think it would be trumpeted loudly if they found nuclear warheads on ICBMs, which is what they would have you infer, but don't explicitly state.
As much as I'd love the find to be legitimate, it sounds fishy at this point.

What's this? Reality creeping in? What a diffence 6 minutes makes. LOL.
NOW THE DEMOCRATS SAY PRESIDENT BUSH LIED, THAT THERE NEVER WERE ANY WMD'S
AND HE TOOK US TO WAR FOR HIS OIL BUDDIES??? Right!!! P
Can you say that a little louder, freeper? I want to make sure that Rush can hear you. That Palm Beach herion has damaged his hearing. LOL.
No, he didn't take us to war for oil. Oil? What oil? Haliburton is importing oil INTO Iraq (at a hefty mark-up no less.)
He took us to war for Haliburton. That's why we can't LOAN billions to the second-largest stockpile of oil in the world, we have to GIVE them billions of YOUR (asssuming you are an American taxpayer) dollars. But Kerry is a "traitor" for opposing it?
If we LOANED them the money, they would hire Iraqis to rebuild Iraq, and that just wouldn't do.
Oh yeah, he also wanted to be a "war" president so he could count on the so-called "patriots" to vote for him no matter how hard he screws us. He rememebered what happened to his dad. The Afghan war just wasn't going to last long enough, so we had to invade another nation. Nevermind Saudi, who made Bin Laden, financed Alqaeda, and produced 15/19 of the 9-11 terrorists. Nevermind North Korea, who has nukes that can reach US. Nevermind Iran, who is working to build nukes. Nevermind Pakistan, who basically made the Taliban (with Saudi money.)
Bush knew that Saddam was so weak after 8 years of sanctions (under Slick Willie) that there wouldn't be much of a fight. 900 dead soldiers, no big deal to Bush, right?
Kj,
Thats brillant, good thinking.
The US withdraws form Iraq, the country will surely fall into the hands of the Islamo-fascist terrorists.
Possibly you need to look at a map of the Middle East,Iraq is bordered by Saudi Arabia, the birth place of this evil and Iran the home of the Shiite Islamo-fundamentalist Mullahs bastards.
Irag, has been infiltrated by thousands of foreign fighters, Jihadis from Syria,Iran and Saudi Arabia,as such this mess must be cleaned up.
"don't think we should use our military as the worlds policeman"
This is a typical left wing statement.
Possibly your smoking the the same dope as "Eneri" and it has rotted whats left of your brain.
You and your mentor,The Fat American hateing slob,Michael Moore and the rest of your ilk, fortunately are in the minority.
Peddle that left wing dribble at moveon.org
In closing, evidently your affilcted with the disease of liberalisim and your condition is terminal.

”It's a bit of a stretch, to say the least, to claim that Saddam knew that these three guys lived in Iraq.” –Keithjoy
Only if you are completely politically biased.
For the record, in the run-up to the invasion, Saddam had Abu Nidal killed as he thought Nidal was a threat to turn on him. I guess you just can’t trust your friends, huh?
Of course, you can’t trust CNN, as Ted Turner and Dubya are so tight, you know? Well, how about Yasin?
Of course, USA Today is probably a bit too right wing for you as well, right keithjoy? And the fact Yasin was one of the characters of the infamous deck of Iraqi playing cards, and among the 22 Most Wanted Terrorists listed by the FBI after 9/11, all this somehow slipped by Saddam?
It must have been while Saddam was mourning the loss of Gerald Bull, huh? If I have to explain, it isn’t quite as fun. Do some research for once and find out who Bull was and what he was doing for Saddam on your own.
I find it ironic you should bring up Moore in this argument, and even more ironic that you took Moore’s comment out if its larger context, the context being, Moore doesn’t believe we should invade any Muslim country, for any reason. I know that will not keep you from citing his work as the gospel despite the through debunking F9/11 got from all but the most liberally biased critics, but it is worth mentioning.
“…I don't think it is, but then again I am pro-military (not just in words) and don't think we should use our military as the world's policeman... dam[sic], that sounds familiar... where have I heard that before?” --keithjoy
I don’t know… where could you find such sentiments. Maybe here?
Or how about:
These quotes, of course, are from the great appeaser himself, Neville Chamberlain.
On the Incredible Shrinking Man, Joseph Wilson…
If you are going to quote Novak, keithjoy, at least read the article, and quote the relevant passages:
The column concludes with the following paragraph:
So… did it hurt to be debunked by your own evidence? Wilson was shown no only to be a partisan hack, but a liar without his country's best interests at heart.
Wait a minute...Chamberlain, Wilson, Moore... I think I'm beginning to see a pattern in your heroes now.
Keithjoy, if you can see it as well, that man in the mirror must be getting pretty scary right...about...NOW.
Sleep tight.
Bob,
Good Stuff!
Keithjoy, and the rest of the left wing idiots all suffer from the disease of liberalisim and when confronted with the facts they fold like a cheap camera.
Appeasing evil only encourages it and allows it to spread. That much we have learned from history,or have we.
How many more innocent people must be brutalized, tortured and killed by the Islamo-fascists before we really take the appropriate action?
So i`m watching C-SPAN this afternoon and the democrats have the whole floor with hardly any opposition in the house because of the Presidents annual dinner taking place and I would think Republicans make up most of the audience there (lol).
The whole line of democratic speakers are trying to get the President to send American troops to the Sudan and Darfur to stop the genocide.
Gee! why arent they asking for the united nations to take care of it ,after all their great savior John F, Kerry wanted to get the United Nations to take care of the Iraq situation.
Never mind that it took 17 resolutions and 12 years of inaction by this corrupt body of dealing with Saddam Husseins regime and nothing never happened until a courageous President stepped forward and told them that your words and resolutions dont mean anything unless you are willing to enforce them.
Unfortunatly ,these democrats want it both ways. They will only support the president when it serves their political cause and condem him for everything else he does.
But this president may come through just as he did in Liberia.
Iran’s reactionary Grand Council of Islamic Guidance has indeed said that a small number of A-bombs will obliterate Israel and that the Jewish State’s last-gasp riposte, even if it can launch all of its roughly 200 nukes, “would only damage, but not destroy” the dar el-Islam.
Probably true: if Israel disperses its targeting to nearly fifty Moslem-majority countries round the globe. However, if it shot all, or even many, of its warheads just into Iran, that nation would be a radiation-desert of black glass from end to end, in a flash.
If Iran’s the SOLE attacker in such a first strike, Israel’s remnant would be inclined to hit the Ayatollahs’ approximately 60 prime nuclear, military and other strategic sites and its 25 or so biggest cities, with an ample quantity of missiles left for anyone else who wants to cop them.
In this way, it immediately smites its nemesis, lethally, while well set to devastate the rest of its mortal enemies, at their slightest provocation: any question of “proportionality” would be out the window AND THEY’D ALL KNOW IT, as would the “international community”.
Whatever remains of Israel (a bare handful, down in a deep, heavily-armoured bunker, with a panel of RED BUTTONS, securely linked to at least a hundred first-class nuclear missiles of various types, armed and on high alert), could then pause. This’d be an ideal time for reflection and Israel would, at this juncture, gain a short breathing space. - Every Arab on Earth would now be perfectly aware that so much as a single stone being hurled towards Israel, at this juncture, will be severely penalized - by an atomic device dropping on an Arab city: Damascus or Khartoum… or Mecca.
Predictably, as soon as the news is out of Iran’s salvo and Israel’s response, the Arab world would go mighty WILD. The subterranean remainder of Israel could then leave the dire problem of what to do next up to this “international community”, which, UNAMBIGUOUSLY, would be guilty, by multiple commissions and omissions, of allowing these Jewish and Persian megadeaths occur- plus, vitally, of permitting the circumstances leading up to and enabling them to happen.
For once, the UN, the EU, the media, academia and the rest would be unavoidably put on the spot, urgently to stem - permanently - the threat that’s facing them. They’d be forced to act SERIOUSLY and in unity, at length made aware of and COMPELLED to address the cruel menace - that they themselves, collectively, so foolishly, have tragically, for ages, coddled - which has been (for at least decades), relentlessly, single-mindedly, strengthening itself for the muderous ambition of ruthless planetary conquest.
With no choice except to abandon appeasement forever and robustly tackle the aggressor here - the spirit of Jihadism, Islamo-fascism - upon whose behalf the Iranian Theocrats fired their rockets at Israel, it may turn out to be, finally, not an individual Israeli or US nuke ultimately to vapourize Mecca, etc, but a French or Russian or Indian one....
I have opened the link and they say that is untrue, what a pity, it has been a false alarm like the capture of Zarquawi for Polish Troops.
Would everyone stop defending and praising George W Bush, his party/administration may be 100% better than Clintons ut that retarded goon isn't capable of running across road let alone the worlds most powerful country. The man's an imbecial, he comes across as an obnoxious child whose been told by his mother "no candy for a week". He's just a puppet who is told what to say to the public by much more intelligent people cloaked in shadow, not in the public eye as often.
Eneri , look maybe oil may have been a secondary motive for the Iraqi excursion ( come on Bob don't be to proud to admit that being in control of those oil fields rather than a scum-bag muslim tyrant like Saddam isn't useful) but by no means the primary. IT was and always has been about terrorism, and the threat of such from Iraq , as well as the fact that Iraq was a terrorist haven.Dusted.
Rikki,
What country are you writing from? In American politics, one constant is that liberals try to portray Republican leaders and corrupt dunces led by the nose by corporations. They made these same allegations about Reagan, and Bush Senior. Bashing George W. Bush is just a continuation of that mantra, with little apparent basis in fact other than Bush's less than stellar ability to articulate his ideas verbally.
Off camera, Bush has quietly gained respect from those who have dealt with him personally. My own respect for his depth of character come not from his political messages, but from quiet stories of his private compassion that you rarely see from people in public office.
You call him a retarded goon, but he graduated Yale in 1968 and received an MBA from Harvard in 1975. You forget dunces can’t get through flight school for supersonic fighter interceptors, and one certainty of Bush’s military record is that he was an excellent pilot of the F-102 “Delta Dagger” interceptor, according to his own commanding officers. He was also the first governor re-elected in Texas in history, with almost 70-percent of the vote.
He may not come across as a rocket scientist to you, but I frankly don’t care what Europeans think of him. He is a deeply compassionate and focused human being, with moral clarity un-swerved by polling data, genuinely trying to do what he thinks is best for his country.
I can ask for no more than that in a leader, regardless of party.
So please, take him to task for his politics if they don’t agree with yours, but quit attacking him as a person.
That last comment of mine was before I read any of Keithjoy's fantasies. I stand corrected: Saudi Arabia owns more oil fields than Iraq and Kuwait put together. Imeant what I said about Bush though.
Bob,
Thank you for setting the record straight concerning President Bush.
The liberal Democrats have plenty of condemnation for George Bush.Yet, they have no real answers or solutions. They are always flip-flopping on the issues.
I have questioned many Kerry suppoters here in the States, why Mr. Kerry would be a good President.
The responce from these left wing "idiots" is "anybody but Bush".They are unable to articulate any legitimate bases for their support for him.
