Just in time to mark the tenth anniversary of the Rwandan genocide that it largely ignored, the human rights community is beginning to take notice of the genocide in Sudan. As welcome as this is, and as refreshing as it is that the New York Times and Washington Post have done extensive reporting on Darfur in recent weeks, few have noted that the tragedy of Darfur is actually the second Sudanese genocide of our age. The first killed over two million African Christians and animists in southern Sudan.They may be forgiven for being slow on the uptake, however; after all, Darfur marks the third genocide in Africa that Kofi Annan is declining to notice: Rwanda, Sudan I and now Sudan II. Over 100,000 people have been killed in Darfur. By autumn the number of those who have been displaced or impoverished, or whose lives have been destroyed by the war in other ways, will most likely exceed three million. Yet Annan declared that he cannot consider it “genocide or ethnic cleansing yet.”
There is another word that Annan has never uttered in connection with Sudan. For a decade Khartoum has waged what the regime itself calls a jihad against Christians and tribalists in the South. A 1992 fatwa issued by a group of pro-Khartoum Sudanese imams declared: “An insurgent who was previously a Muslim is now an apostate and a non-Muslim is a non-believer standing as a bulwark against the spread of Islam, and Islam has granted the freedom of killing both of them.” This allowed for the murder of Christians and animists in the south; now it has been turned against the Muslims of Darfur, whose Islam doesn’t measure up to Khartoum’s hardline standards....
The victims are the blacks of Darfur and southern Sudan, who continue to be murdered and enslaved by Islamic Arab fundamentalists. The jihadists operate with impunity before a world that doesn’t dare give a name to the crime they are committing. How many more deaths will be needed before Annan and the human rights establishment admit the truth?
And of course if this was done by some fanatical group calling themselves Christian, you would have a UN resolution before Annan could say "Coffe".
This is only the beginning of a cancer that has infected the mindset of the UN. The US should pull out of the UN and let this organization spiral into its inevitable course of obscurity and irrelevance.
The only tragedy bigger that Rwanda was the UN's pathetic "non interference" policy whilst the genocide was occuring before their eyes, this of non iterference and appeasement to thugs and muderers should be a warning sign to us, on how the UN will handle and treat the scourge that is now threatening the rest of the civilised world, Fanatical Islam...or simply put the spread of Islam.

Persecution, rape and murder of "outsiders" to the faith of Islam is hardly anything new. This has been going on in pockets all across the world constantly, even during the 20th century. I remember my father (now deceased) used to keep a stack of clippings long before 9/11, and the clippings were all "backpage" stories about this or that murder or attrocity all with the same common element: the perpetrators were Muslims and the victims were Hindus, Buddhists or Christians.
The spread of Islam must be stopped.
TWO MILLION AFRICAN CHRISTIANS can anyone tell me when that happened, I can remember the sickening Rwandan genocide of '94 and have always took note of the news and seen that Sudan has been an unstable country nwith lots of people being killed, but I can't remember any specific carnage of 2 million in Sudan. Could someone please give me the dates/year.

"Women and children abducted in slave raids are roped by the neck or strapped to animals and then marched north. Along the way, many women and girls are repeatedly gang-raped. Children who will not be silent are shot on the spot. In the north, slaves are either kept by individual militia soldiers or sold in markets. Boys work as livestock herders, forced to sleep with the animals they care for".
"Some who try to escape have their Achilles tendons cut to hamper their ability to run. Masters typically use women and girls as domestics and concubines, cleaning by day and serving the master sexually by night. Survivors report being called "Abeed" (black slave), enduring daily beatings, and receiving awful food. Masters also strip slaves of their religious and cultural identities, giving them Arabic names and forcing them to pray as Muslims."
"Another says. "Families were broken up, with children sometimes murdered in front of their mothers as a warning and because they were too much trouble. We cried out to the West, to the countries who said they believed in human rights, but they were indifferent to our agony."

In responce to your question, since 1989 the The Islamic government of the Sudan has been slaugthering Christians and Animists,an estimated two million have been killed.

The politically correct liberal media is not interested in stories such as this,especially when it is Christians that are being slaugthered.
Only when there are some "poor" Palestinians killed, do these left wing socialists feel it is worth reporting.
Thank goodness Mr. Spencer can inform us on the happenings of genocide in Sudan. If it weren't for him, we'd know very little about it because certain Muslim advocacy groups, who usually make it commonplace to stick their turbans into every Muslim issue, state they have limited knowledge as it pertains to the situation in this particular African nation.
Now how can that be?
This may end up being the fourth war the USA

Sudan is a wake-up call to all democracies to see the real face of Islam and consider changing
immigration rules to make newcomers sign paper that they don't harbour hate and their faith doesn't teach violence or antisemitism.
We have enough "newcomers" here in the US.
Its time to stop allowing any further immigration from Islamic countries and seriously protect our borders.

So, dropping the steel of imposing sanctions on Sudan, the UN Security Council’s voted to give it a further month to halt its Ethnic Cleansing-Jihad-Genocide campaign in Darfur. Khartoum initially rejected the censure, but then said it’ll nonetheless be reining in the marauding Janjawid militias during the period - the next 30 days will tell, but the odds are poor that it’ll be able to do it, even if it’s SERIOUS (with nothing whatever, anywhere, to evince that it is).
Tonight, Sudan sits collegiately on the UN’s Human Rights Commission. Therefore, its word and its denial of abuses on its soil ought to be immediately accepted, with relief, at face value - or else it’s a harsh insult to the Islamist, Arab-supremacist Government of Sudan. No reservation as to its utmost sincerity should be entertained (let alone expressed), lest Sudanese “sensibilities” be trammelled. Reflexively, this would have to extend to “needlessly” impugning the “dignity” of the dar el-Islam, in toto, rendering it even more hostile than it is at the moment.
Accordingly, like the “War on Terror” itself, the horrors of Darfur must go misnamed, not as the Ethnic Cleansing-Jihad-Genocide Offensive - which, undoubtedly, it is - but, amorphously, as “another humanitarian disaster”. Why? Because the UN doesn’t give a rip about such things any more; it’s become the pathetic parody of itself, a sink-hole of hypocrisy, detrimental to peace.
Over the last 30 years, the UN’s been incrementally - “democratically” - hijacked by the callous core of the biggest voting-bloc and the largest single minority, hence the “automatic majority”, in the General Assembly. This inner-circle is a small number (principally Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, the UAE) of the members of the Arab League, working through that body and its creature, the Organization of Islamic Conferences, as well as its minion, the Non Aligned Movement.
For three decades of superlatively assiduous application, never sparing the devices of bribery, blackmail, disinformation and intransigence, the League, the OIC and the NAM have been able to infiltrate and imbed their personnel, to saturation, throughout every one of the UN’s multiple bureaucracies, instrumentalities, agencies, etc (on the basis of ratios in allotment with the UN’s byzantine “spoils system”, with its own special “compensatory quota”, solely for “Palestinians”).
The fruition of enhanced Arab influence in the UN - as indeed in every other sphere into which it’s intruded - has degraded the UN to the tragic state that it’s in today: terminally subverted, paralyzed, decorticated, comatose, corrupted, co-opted and compromised, daily betraying its founding ideals, its cardinal principles - working AGAINST them - without batting an eye.
This isn’t accidental: at this juncture, the mad, malign, Arab and Moslem potentates - reflecting the popular sentiment of most of their rabble - are bidding for a major power-role on the grand, geostrategic stage (by impelling a US withdrawal from the Middle East and thus creating a freer space on the board for themselves to fill). Out of their dogmas of predestined triumph for their ideology, they’re fully confident of gaining it - unless they’re unmistakably SHOWN otherwise.
Their prime objective, once the power to do so is in their ambit, is to employ it to conduct a great SERIES of ethnic cleansings-Jihads-genocides, in innumerable corners of the Earth, as soon as they can, to establish the universal rule they’ve been “Divinely” ordained to implement.
Via the regular, ostensibly “unstoppable” repetition of “humanitarian disasters” like Rwanda, Somalia, Bosnia, Congo and Darfur, the rabid Arabs and Moslems - who, ultimately, “Love Death” - want the peoples of the dar el-harb to grow CONDITIONED to such atrocities, to perceive them as normal - till it’s their turn… and it’s TOO LATE.
These Arabs and Moslems don’t plan for anyplace on the planet to MISS OUT on their racist mayhem (at the individual “Holy Warrior”’s prerogative, the “reversion” of any captives to Islam and their enslavement, or them being killed on the spot), either - which is why they deem the UN to be such a splendid tool for their purposes, wishing to see it hang on for as long as necessary, to constitute a fine mask for discharging their prospective Megacide.
Don't forget the worldwide displacement of people as refugees (since Idi Amin) has contributed to mass migration problems we now have to deal with.
The U.N. should make it a crime to displace a people whether it becomes a geocide or not it is a failed State.
