CAIRO, Egypt (AP) Images of an American hostage being decapitated surfaced Saturday on an Internet site known for carrying the statements of Islamic militants.The gruesome videotape appeared three days after U.S. authorities announced the search for the body of Paul M. Johnson Jr. had been called off.
Still photographs of Johnson's beheading had been posted June 19 on some of the same militant Islamic forums that on Saturday provided links to the newly released video footage.
Johnson, a 49-year-old engineer for U.S. defense contractor Lockheed Martin, was kidnapped June 12.
The video, which ran almost two minutes and included images of tanks and destroyed homes apparently in Iraq, carried the title "The Voice of Jihad: Get the infidels out of the Arabian Peninsula."
Voice of Jihad is the name of a periodical issued on the Internet twice monthly by the al-Qaida cell in Saudi Arabia, which claimed Johnson's killing.

Read account[their own on MEMRI] of killings of 22 Infidels in Saudi Arabia. Noted the 'pleasure' these brave Muslim warriors took in slitting throats and 'exploding' human heads. Their fanaticism and arrogance matching blood lust. How they paused for breakfast and a snooze after 'doing Allah's work.' Also noted how killers made two phone calls to Aljazeera, one of them 'an interview' before beheading an Italian Infidel. As to actual raid, they could never have got away with it, in my opinion, without being helped by Saudis!What do rest of still living Infidels out there think??
If these killings continue (and is there doubt they won't?), then western governments will have to respond in a brutal and direct way. Otherwise, I could imagine a day when people in America or England or wherever are held and killed if certain demands are not met. Like the hypothetical nuclear attack on American soil, it does not take a lot of thought to see how this would greatly destabilize the western governments. Perhaps that is what the Moslems are working for, but I can't imagine the new governments would be at all willing to extend the hand of friendship after a period of violence and political chaos.
As far as the Saudis go, they would do well to remember that they need not be present for their oil to be extracted and exported.
From the Infidel point of view, is not the chaos and confusion and internal strife and insecurity that reign in the Yemen, and Somalia, and Algeria, and Gaza, a salutary development? As long as Muslim immigrants are kept out of the Bilad al-kufr, as long as the practice of Islam, including what is said in the mosques, is strictly monitored, as long as the economic and legal and political situation of Muslims is made less, rather than more, welcoming (not necessarily through government action; individual Infidels can make up their own mind as to whether they wish to contribute, through the shops and restaurants they frequent or the goods they buy, to the increasing islamization of their own countries -- just as they once could decide whether to buy goods from Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia).
And there are two other components to the long-term strategy. Muslim peoples must be kept from acquiring major weaponry -- not merely WMD but all major weaponry which could, in terrorist hands, threaten Infidel states and peoples. No Stinger missiles. No warships. No advanced technology of any kind. No ability to have Muslims trained in the West, as all of Saddam Hussein's weapons scientists were trained -- mainly in England. That ban will also have to extend, no doubt, to Muslims who are citizens of the Western countries -- given that there is every indication that loyalty to the umma is the only loyalty that, in the end, matters, and that in any case the Infidels have no way to distinguish those among their Muslim fellow citizens who will remain truly and forever trustworthy from those who, like Intel engineer Mike Hawash, are at some point set off by something, rediscover their faith, and become every bit as dangerous as that cinematic Manchurian Candidate (who, one gathers, has reappeared in a remake). Sorry about this, but really, what else, to protect ourselves physically, can we do? Can any thinking Muslm who really is willing to admit to what the Qur'an and hadith preach about Infidels, or one who admits to how Infidels have been treated, over time and across space, by the Muslims who have subjugated them (one can also look at the Sudan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Indonesia, and a host of other places to see what is going on right now), actually blame Infidels in the slightest for taking such measures? On what basis? Are we supposed to repeat some mantras from Diversity Training Classes and ignore the reality of bombs and Stinger missiles and chemical weapons and Internet sites proudly showing decapitations and baby-faced "martyrs" in the pre-Paradise period of their existence?
Sorry, we do not owe the Muslim world that -- or indeed anything, except to learn thoroughly about what Islam is -- not what they would have us believe it is.

What we need today is a really robust fitnah that will compel the jihadists to suicide bomb themselves into oblivion over the issue of which tribe should be the custodians of the two holy mosques (Mecca & Medina).

It certainly would destabilize western governments, however the problem that muslims would face is exactly what would be the end result of that destabilization. I can not imagine it being a result favorable to them. They should read history. Communist terrorists/insurgents/ whatever in the early 70’s in Argentina were committing acts of violence in order to “destabilize” the government. It did just that, the military went on the offensive and wiped out the insurgents, not the outcome that the insurgents might have hoped for. There are many other examples that are just as relevant to the situation that we are in now. I can envision an American government going off the deep end if a nuclear weapon were to be used on American soil. Muslims, citizens and non-citizens would be in a great deal of difficulty, whether or not they were guilty of anything. Not a pretty future.

What a coincidence! The United States just happens to have all the military assets necessary to secure the Saudi (Rashidi?) oil production facilities prepositioned in the theatre in case the Bani Sa'ud loses its position as the dominant tribe in the region. Was it planned, or was it just luck?
Well, I would sleep a little better at night if I knew that someone in our government had the sense to prepare for such a contingency. I know plans for almost everything float around, but there is also the question if the political will would exist at such a time, given that a change of leadership may occur this fall. Again, this would point to the importance of creating a much greater awareness in the American people.

I know it shouldnt but it still astounds me that muslims can watch such gore with such gleeful silly grins, go have a camel kabob then a nap as though a human being did not just have their head chopped off...all the while praising a rock.

We must feel great compassion for the wives of Arabs, stuck in a society where they will never, among other things, achieve sexual satisfaction.

One of the problems with these types of videos is that they tend to lose their shock effect. I don't think the existence of the video was even reported on FOX news while just a few weeks ago there was wall to wall coverage on FOX (minus pictures) of the graphic Nick Berg video. What these videos do accomplish is that they increase the level of disgust and contempt for Islam in civilized countries. I'm not sure that is the effect the terrorists had hoped for.

However, in their stupidity of videotaping and releasing the beheadings to the world, that fear of the civilized world will turn into action against them at some point by more nations than just the US, Britian and other members of the current coalition. One other point is that it is disqusting to many of the Arab nations as well. They are just as schocked at this behavior which is why they are trying to blame someone else for it. No good muslim could ever do it...it has to be the CIA or the Jews.
I forced myself to view the video. The shock was overwhelming, but soon I was consumed by anger and resolve, not fear. Soon there will be a point of no return for these creatures. They aren't men. It would be an insult to refer to them as any type of animal.

I think most of the people I've talked to voiced shock and anger, not fear. If anything, this level of barbarity is making things more difficult, if not dangerous, for Muslims in the United States. I know within the past few weeks some men have been attacked in the Ny/NJ area based upon looking Middle Eastern, thogh at least in one instance the guy they went after was actually a Sihk.
If Muslims are trying to convince the modern world to make them extinct, they are going down the right path.

Mullah, many thanks for your advice on the photo. I have been an avid follower of this site for many months now. (http://ctstudies.com is also one of my favorite sources of current information.) I just recently got a TypeKey account so my comments can be posted.
I am a resident of Manhattan and an eyewitness to the attacks of 9/11. I watched out my office window as the 2nd plane hit. My co-worker had been walking to work down Madison Avenue as the first plane flew overhead, and he had alerted me to what was unfolding. At that time it was not yet known it was an attack, we thought it was just a terrible catastrophe. Being less than a mile from the WTC that day, and working for a life insurance company, I felt so very close to the horror that followed. I will never forget the terrible smell of death that pervaded the Manhattan atmosphere for months. I also was blessed with the opportunity through my church to volunteer at the chapel near Ground Zero immediately following the attacks, helping out the relief effort by serving meals to the rescue and recovery workers.
The 9/11 attacks wrought unimaginable horror on all New Yorkers. Many of us will never fully "recover" from the event. I am grateful for forums such as these that help to foster understanding of the enemy we are dealing with, their methods and their ideology. This forum is an amazing source of information, featuring links by vigilant watchers that appear in the "mainstream" press--that includes the NY Times--at least several days (if ever) after appearing here. Thank you to all the well-educated and conscientious people here who are keeping us informed of the latest developments in this war on terror.
