Hey everyone, I was wondering if you could clarify for me whether or not this is the same "Holy Land Foundation" to whose website CAIR redirected the caring, wonderful, kind hearted Americans who wanted to help their fallen American brothers and sisters by donating to the 9/11 NY/DC Relief Fund?

I was always taught to never ask a question that I didn't already know the answer to, but I wanted to try it just once.....

CAIR would only kindly redirect infidels to contribute to a peaceful, loving muslim charity that so badly wants to help ALL people (regardless of race, sex or religion!) affected by those few scoundrels that don't REALLY represent islam. 12. Non-Muslim subjects (Ahl al-Dhimma) of a Muslim state are subject to a series of discriminatory laws – “dhimmitude”;
13. The penalty for fornication or sodomy is being stoned to death;
14. The penalty for an initial theft is amputation of the right hand. Subsequent thefts are penalized by further amputations of feet and hand;
15. A non-Muslim cannot testify against a Muslim in court; a person who is “without respectability” cannot give legal testimony; a woman’s legal testimony is only given half the legal weight of a man’s (and is only acceptable in cases involving property); to legally prove fornication or sodomy requires 4 male witnesses who actually saw the act;
16. The establishment and continuation of the Islamic Caliphate (by force, if necessary) is a communal obligation;
17. Sodomites and Lesbians must be killed;
18. Laughing too much is forbidden;
19. Musical instruments are unlawful;
20. Creating pictures of animate life is forbidden;
21. Female circumcision, which includes the excision of the clitoris, is obligatory;
22. Slavery is permitted;
23. People may be bribed to convert to Islam;
24. Beating a rebellious wife is permissible; and,
25. Lying is permissible in a time of war (or jihad).

I'm not aware of any documents being shreaded in the Al-Aryan case. If it makes you feel any better the government lost a large number of documents related to Tim McVeigh.Those lost documents didn't stop his execution after only about a one month delay.

The requirement of zakat, or charitable giving by Muslims, is limited to giving to fellow Muslims. There is absolutely no charity given to non-Muslims; it does not make sense; it goes against the very nature of Islam. That being the case, why would any non-Muslim ever give, ever, to a Muslim charity? Or to Muslim peoples? Why, when the greatest charitable act is to do what one can to weaken the hold of their belief-system on them. This is not an advertisement for missionaries, but for all the alternatives to Islam -- not only Christianity, but also skepticism and agnosticiam, or Marxism as a substitute, or any damn thing except Islam which, as Ibn Warraq has brilliantly noted in an article to be found at www.secularislam.org or at www.nojihad.com, Islam meets almost every one of the criteria which help to define fascism.

Of course, there was deliberate deception at work. What does the phrase "Holy Land Foundation" conjure up for you? Hamas? Muslims blowing themselves up so as to kill Israelis in the same explosion? Funding people who kill four little girls sitting in a car, or quiet teenagers, fresh immigrants from the Soviet Union, good in science, with their glasses, and their hopes, out for one night of fun and standing in line at a movie theatre or a cafe, only to be blown to bits? The two boys beaten to death beyond recognition after being kidnapped and dragged to a cave? The little girls visiting a "Peace Garden" on the border with Jordan -- were they seven years old, or eight, or ten -- when the Jordanian soldier shot and killed them, one by one by one by one by one by one by one? This is what the Holy Land Foundation is all about.

But those who gave to it, seeing the deceptive ("war is deception" said Muhammad, and if Islam is about anything, it is certainly about deception not only of Infidels, but even of new "reverts") title -- Holy Land Foundation -- would quite properly never connect it to Islam, but rather to Christianity. So who was donating money all these years, to the Holy Land Foundation -- I mean, along with the Muhammads and Osamas and Rashids and Ibrahims? Oh, it was Catholic widows in Boston and Providence, retired Baptist schoolteachers in Wichita Falls and Birmingham, Lutherans and Methodists and Presbyterians and .... all of them (well, maybe not all of them -- not the anti-Israel "peace activists" who would undoubedly have known what was up), donating money to people who, if they could, would subjugate, and persecute, permanently, the very people tricked into donating money.

Along with the government's suit, perhaps there is some way for donors to recover, in a class action suit, for the fraudulent advertising. And that legal weapon should also be made available for use against all Muslim "charities" that are similarly deceptive (which is to say, almost all of them), so that not only can money be recovered (perhaps to be donated by those who were fooled to a real group in the Holy Land worth supporting, such as the Red Mogen David -- Israel's Red Cross, though the International Red Cross pusillanimously persists in refusing to recognize it -- an organization that helps to save the lives of all those, of any religion or none, who survive terrorist acts).

Taking away the money -- reducing OPEC revenues, ending all aid to Muslim countries, making them pay through the nose for Western goods and Western services (why should they be allowed to use Western medicine, without a large "surcharge" for the privilege even of coming to the dar al-Harb, given the increased security costs associated with every such visit? Whatever the Mass General charges, or the Harley Street Doctors -- well, add on a little government surcharge for "security" -- and do the same with any Muslim students who happen still to be allowed here to study. A little "surcharge" given that such students are security risks, tend to engage in activities that are harmful to the Infidel population (including their political activities), and we have to not only monitor them, but as a consequence of their presence, have unfortuantely also had to institute a system of monitoring all foreign students, including of course completely inoffensvie non-Muslim foreign students.

Everyone should be racking his brain trying to think of ways to deprive the dar al-Islam of its discretionary income, for that income is used for mosques, madrasas, weaponry, bribery of diplomasts, journalists, and others, and of course for organs of propaganda (why has al-Jazeera, that blend of TASS and Der Stuermer, been permitted to be at the Fleet Center these days or, if we are to believe spokesman Stephanie Thomas -- let us hope she and all others who work for Al-Jazeera find that that will blacken their resumes, and forever -- at least in the United States and other Infidel lands -- at the Republican Convention in New York.

Jihad is permanent and immutable as a central tenet of Islam. The wherewithal to conduct Jihad is a direct result of the money that was derived from oil revenues. Move heaven and earth to diminish or soak up or have the Arabs waste those revenues (they have done a bang-up job themselves on the last score). That is what Bush, or Kerry, or their advisers, must focus on.

This isn’t all that strange reza. Perhaps the justice department could be a bit faster on laying charges, but I suspect they wanted to make sure all their ‘T’s were crossed and all their ‘I’s were dotted. I have heard of drug dealers languishing in prison for far more than a year awaiting trial, which is a far less serious crime than being a supporter of islamos, and I don’t think anyone was actually in prison waiting for charges. (Correct me if I am wrong on this point)

I know you have good things to add to this 'comment-on-the-article' message board but I just cannot force myself to read AN ENTIRE ANOTHER ARTICLE just to find out what you want to add to the discussion at hand.. Perhaps you pride yourself on how many words you can use to state your point. I don't know.. Perhaps you believe that the longest post 'wins'.

But I will tell you this from someone with a Ph.D. who reads literally volumes of books every year most all of which is pleasure reading... It's not the total number of words it takes you to say something which makes one's writings a worthwhile read. Rather, its how quickly and succinctly you can get to the point and move on..

I hope i dont stir up too much of a commotion by daring to contribute again. But i thought I'd suggest that Hughs statement concerning Zakat is only partly true.

Charitble giving as set out in Zakat is only limited to Muslims when times are hard, for instance if i lived on a street with no water I like any decent person would only help those close to me my family and then freinds and if I was in a position to do so, there would be no question in help my none - Muslim Brothers. Afterall whatever faith we are off we are all descendants of Abraham. Peace beupon him.

However as i live in Downtown Manhatten the likelihood of no water for any other reason then maintenece work to the water supply is unlikely.

Unless you were being sarcastic you just made Hugh's case for him.You'd be hard press to find a Christian charity in the US that will only help Christians or just Americans.The spirit of Christian giving demands that Christians help everyone even enemies. The fact that you posted a link to just one "Muslim" charity that helps both non-Muslims and Muslims is shocking.

In point of fact your information about zakat is incorrect. It is not limited only to Muslims when times are hard, but is fard (compulsory) for all Muslims whatever the circumstances. I am sure that as a Muslim you are actually aware of this.

In regard to Mercy USA, it does seem that the great bulk of its charity is directed to fellow Muslims, with the major exception being 9/11 victims. Is this not a case of working for the greater benefit of Muslims also, by spreading good will post-9/11? The principle thus still holds: Muslim charities generally do work that will help other Muslims, while charities operated by other groups do not generally have such a restricted focus.

I agree with your assessment of the principle of Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) wherein nuclear armed opposing sides won't initiate a first strike because, by doing so, their own destruction would be mutually assured by the sheer lethality of the returned volley.

However... You are overlooking one think that enabled the concept of Mutually Assured Destruction to work and that is that both sides had to care at least as much or more about their own survival than they cared about the destruction of their opponent. This is what actually makes the principle work. This is a key.

I believe this key element is largely, if not entirely, lacking on the Islamofascist side of the balance because, in my opinion, they are equally happy if not more happy or happier with their own deaths so long as they took you out with them..

So... this principle isn't going to work with these people.

Please allow me to redirect that same comment to Andruil's attention.

Muslims do contribute to causes which help to promote -- or to protect -- Islam. The Saudi prince with the squint whose check was ripped up by Mayor Giuliani was attempting to buy support, and to deflect criticism from Saudi Arabia just after 9/11. When Saudis give money to a univesity for the King Abdul Aziz Chair in Islamic Studies, or when assorted Arabs contribute to set up a by-no-means disinterested Center for Contemporary Arab Studies and all the other similar centres which promote Arab and Muslim views (and of course the newest models in Europe at least are all about "Dialgoues of Civilisation" designed to deflect attention from the real tenets of Islam on the theory of "let's concentrate on what unites us, not what divides." Plausible, but only if you are a gushing schoolgirl of, say, 12 or 13.

The enterprise of resucing Muslims, even taking their side against Infidels -- which one saw in Kosovo and Bosnia -- could never happen in reverse. There never has been, and never will be, any example of Muslim intervention on the side of Infidels being attacked by Muslims. It cannot be. It goes against everything in Islam.

Similarly, while non-Muslims do not think it strange to contribute to charitable causes that are nondenominational, or that have nothing to do with their religion (endowing a professorship in fine arts, or economics, or English literature), or one can even find those who will donate to causes connected to another religion (Christians support the Technion or Hebrew University or other causes connected to Israel, by no means all of them as celebrated as Frank Sinatra; Jews support Christian-related causes, including the Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, and the Christian Childrens' Fund, among others). It is impossible to conceive of Saudi Arabia (which has spent nearly $70 billion on mosques and madrasas and Islamic propaganda around the world), or the U.A.E., or Kuwait, or any of their citizens, donating to causes other than those of Islam -- nor is it conceivable that a Believer would knowingly support Infidels. Donations such as that mentioned by "Abraham" to the 9/11 fund have, as Robert points out, are transparently intended to protect Muslims and deflect any anger directed at them, for obvious reasons, related to the 9/11/2001 attacks. That can hardly be described as charitable giving in any real sense.
