WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Nearly 1,000 computer disks were recovered last week as part of a series of arrests in the United Kingdom of alleged al Qaeda operatives, U.S. government sources have told CNN.Both British and American authorities are analyzing the information in the disks for any potential clues to possible al Qaeda attack plans.
Among those arrested last Tuesday were Esa al-Hindi, who is described by U.S. officials as a senior al Qaeda operative and someone who personally conducted surveillance in 2000 and 2001 of buildings in New York and New Jersey.
A law enforcement source told CNN there was an intense search going on in the New York area for anyone al-Hindi and two associates, who allegedly did reconnaissance with him, may have met while in the United States.
Officials said they are investigating whether Muhammad Naeem Noor Khan, recently arrested in Pakistan, also visited the United States to do reconnaissance.

Of course there are still the usual socialist/liberal media and political peer wankers trying to undermine every invaluable word and effort being made by the government/authorities (MI5 and Scotland Yard), using the same hopelessly unimportant,irrelevant PC garbage that nothing but retarded bullshit, and the are starting to look like the infantile screaming of a spoilt child having a tantrum because mummies spanked it .
These leftist fools have no substance.There is no sense or reason in their arguments anymore and their demands for fairness and equality(with the anti-terror laws)are just plain ridiculous, devoid of logic and they are getting laughed at by the majority of the british public now.They've lost any respect from Joe Public that they had for obvious reasons.They appear (to a concerned public) to be fighting for the rights of terrorists by saying that muslims are being disproportionately targeted by the terrorism laws ( like maybe they should start arresting a few of those rotten Mormons or those ruthless Amish terrorists we hear so much about!!!) and the ever-observant brits are finally clicking on that the reason for this disproportionate lean on muslims is because it's the MUSLIMS DOING IT and the morons complaining about "unfairness to muslims" ( who live in their ivory towers safe from the terror)seem to care more about equality and human rights than national security!!!Honestly,it's like a dream come true , in yesterdays Sun ( easily the best British newspaper; as it stand by the true british people) on the letters page called the Big Issue, the subject matter was about the British anti-terror laws and the complaints from the islamic rights groups and lefties. When you think that an billion people think like Reza, it really makes you question whether their people are worth rescuing at ball or whether they should all be eradicated. After all it seems there is no reasoning with them, they don't know the meanings of words such as "peace" and "tolerance" and "equality" and "freedom" and "compassion", and they are some of the most important human ideals, that said, a culture without them would be inhuman.

THIS IS VERY GOOD NEWS!It does take people time to realise what's happening under their noses. Used to think Islam was a religion like any other,you know Christianity,Buddhism etc until I actually read some of verses of the Koran which gave me a helluva a shock...Then I saw it was the same stuff the Terrorists were mouthing.It's all Mainstream Islam, whatever their sly clerics say.

KATMANDU, Nepal -- Female rice farmers are plowing their fields at night in the nude to please the rain god during a dry spell in southwestern Nepal, a news report said Sunday.
A 35-year-old farmer, Ambika Tharu, said she and other women were daring to bare all for the rain god because of a delay in the annual monsoon season and the need for precipitation for their rice crops.
"My mother-in-law said the God would be pleased and make rainfall if women till the land naked," Tharu told the Himalayan Times newspaper.
The delay of the monsoon rains, which usually begin in the first week of June in Nepal, have prevented farmers from planting rice.
Weather forecasters in the capital Katmandu Ñ 310 miles northeast of Baijapur village, where the naked farmers are appealing for rain Ñ said the situation is expected to improve in the next few days.

I have many sugared thoughts about voting these politicians out of office. However, there are realities, and there are realities.
As you know, Bush has approved foreign observers to come in from Brussels I believe, to make sure that our election is properly conducted; and he is supposed to be the more conservative of the two choices placed before us in November.
This is disturbing to say the least. I dislike the tone of this appeasement for it establishes the notion that there is a kind of higher governmental authority outside our Constitution, branches of government, and more particularly the people -- that has a potential of issuing an opinion on the legitamacy of our national elections. Such nonesense has NEVER occurred here before, so "where is the outrage?"
If the public trust has been so egregiously violated on such a matter so sacred to our national identity for the sake of political expedency; what else is being compromised that we are in no way privy to?
There may exist a temptation on the part of our politicans to sell us out to the islamics to some degree, for the sake of their private ambitions. This among other things is a serious violation of the public trust.
Let us hope not, but there are some noisome and troubling developments that should leave concern in the minds of those who care for this nation -- and us.
Any time there's a new tape or message from a pathological, psychotic, hateful, deluded, blindly-following person (terrorist), there should be a torrent of responses played on the air, using the same and even more media, from sensible, freedom-loving, intelligent, articulate people. Ideally, the responsible person would express their outrage at the deviate notions of the p,p,h,d,b-f p (t), and get all manner of supportive evidence as to why the message is illogical, freedom-hating, fanatic, and originates from a pseudo-knowledge base.
Of course, in the first place, responsible media shouldn't play a terrorist's tape, or even give notice that a terrorist said something; it simply gives attention to someone who should be ignored, and it's obviously dangerous because it fortifies the lunatic's followers.
Too many times, the message is played on the media as news, and it goes unanswered. There should be a policy of overwhelming disection and refuting of these unworthy messages if they happen to find their way (incredibly) onto the airwaves.
