CAIRO: Sudan on Sunday said that leaders of a rebel group in its western Darfur region were making regular visits to Israel and ties with the Jewish state had caused a split in rebel ranks.A rebel spokesman denied any link with Israel and said that the charge was an attempt to stir up Muslim public opinion. An Israeli government source told Reuters that the Sudanese statement was absurd.
Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Osman Ismail told reporters in Cairo that some leaders of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) had split from the group two days ago over ties between its leadership and Israel.
The Islamic government in Khartoum has said that 210 JEM rebels surrendered their arms in the Chadian-Sudanese border town of Tine on Friday, a report JEM denied. Ismail said those who had broken away from the group, "confirmed the leadership of the movement make regular visits to Israel".

Almost all of the wars currently taking place on this planet have Muslims involved. Only one of these, and it is the one with the least casualties, involves Jews. (That's the one in the area around Israel.) Anti-Semites, or rather, people who hate Jews, are always trying to blame Jews for the problem Muslims have with keeping their guns in their pants. If only these Muslim young men could have a single healthy relationship with an actual woman, maybe they would stop killing and dying to prove their manhood.
However, since they have decided to start killing Americans, we have no choice but to help them on their way to heaven, or hell, or wherever it is that Muslim blasphemers and apostates go. Meanwhile, most law and logic abiding Muslims, and all the world's Jews, have to suffer while these fanatics continue on with their killing and lying spree.

On the heels of months of alarming reports about it, what a triple relief it was to hear on Monday that the Arab League FMs’ Summit in Cairo decided to back the (unspecified) measures which its Member, Sudan, has said it’s taken to improve the “humanitarian difficulties” in its Province of Darfur. Further, yesterday, both the EU and the new African Union each ruled that, despite lots of death and destruction, there’s NO “genocide” transpiring there!
In its wisdom, the Arab League’s chosen to direct the UN not to consider any intrusion whatever into Darfur, plus to extend the deadline of the Security Council’s Resolution (for Sudan to corral the bands of Janjawid) from the 30 days formally set on August 1 - not for the 90 days being demanded by Khartoum, but for as much as 120 days - in order to let the Sudanese proceed thoroughly there, with their pledged “pacification” and “facilitation of international assistance”.
The UN can be counted upon to politely defer to the Arab League on this item, and the League’s confident that, even if Darfur DOES come to the Security Council, it can probably depend on France (whose local interest is to keep the problem from spilling into its satellite, Chad, adjacent, where units of the Foreign Legion are stationed), Russia &/or China (neither of whom normally abide encroachments on National Sovereignty) to veto any outside intervention.
This is specially so when the League’s reputedly tipping towards assenting to forces from some of its countries to deploy as peace-keepers (under UN auspices) in IRAQ, once the Americans have departed, all of which the UN - in its severe dementia - can’t wait to see.
If the 22-nation Arab League (21 have a vote in the UN - though “Palestine”’s a Full Member of the League, it’s not an State) enlists its General Assembly accessories, the Organization of Islamic Conferences (57 Members - including the League - but, again, not all of them, such as Kashmir, Mindanao, Chechnia, Zanzibar, inter alia, are States, therefore casting no ballot in the UN), in the Non Aligned Movement, the African Union and the EU, it can muster between, roughly, 70 and 100 votes. There’s a 96 - 95 divergence in the total of 191 UN Constituents, at this juncture, but the League can always rely on an adequate number of abstentions, on top.
Thus, the Arab Sudanese régime’s liable to get official UN imprimatur, to FINISH -within the next three months - its Genocide/Jihad in Darfur, all nice and tidy!
From tomorrow, with this artifice for a COVER, there’ll be a great ramping-up of the Janjawid’s mass-murder in Darfur - no more simple “ethnic cleansing”, merely driving the “mawalis” off to die in the dunes, but utmost massacre, on the spot, without exception, to the bitter end, Frenzy.
But, the main thing now (for itself, as a Body) is that at least, via this “affirmative” means, the UN won’t need to grieve over Darfur as another Rwanda, Bosnia or East Timor, because its prospective, “joint” role (predominantly on the lofty, diplomatic and welfare planes) in Islamist Khartoum’s “stabilization” and then its “reconstruction” of Darfur - so unlike the American “cowboys”’ behaviour in Iraq and Afghanistan - will be documented to have been impeccably democratic and ultra-“sensitively” consultative at every feasible step, while making punctual, ample contributions of cash, food* and materiél, all along the way.
In such a folly of “Compromise”, the Security Council itself will have been labouring cordially, co-operatively and consensually, well in line with the Sudanese Administration’s own “positive, grass-roots programs” to “benefit and develop” ITS version of Human Rights (Sudan, at the moment, occupies a seat on the UN’s Human Rights Commission) on the soil of its integral Province (where, allegedly, in addition to the Janjawid, two “anti-Govt rebel-groups” rove).
The pity will be that any Sudanese citizens who’ll benefit from any of this will NOT be the poor, doomed, “mawali” Darfurese, soon virtually EXTINCT, but their cruel, Jihadi slayers - with the pathetic old UN, tragically, seeing no difference between the victim and the butcher any more.
But finally, in its hypocrisy, the UN’ll have to either DENY that the (potentially) millions of killings - atrocities intrinsic to the Islamist Arab-Sudanese Government’s/Janjawid’s schemes - ever took place in Darfur, or deem them all to have been “accidental”, “inadvertent”, “the work of rogue elements”, “aberrations”, “results of unfortunate logistical problems”, “indeed so regretful”, never calling them “collateral damage”, though - let alone by their TRUE names: Genocide and Jihad (which the international media REMAINS highly reluctant to brand them - almost like it’s some type of unspoken, “professional Taboo”).
*”Unimix” is what most can look forward to eating (if they can get it). At best, it’s a mélange of low-grade and inferior grains (inedible raw), donated to the UN’s instrument, the World Food Program, by Members. However, once cooked, it’s somewhat better than North Korea’s “Juche (Autarky/Self-Suffiency) Nutrition-Cakes” - minced grass diluted with clay - or what they’re having for dinner tonight in many districts of Zimbabwe: NOTHING.
