Our meeting in Berlin around these goals and fixed principles will create a new challenge to make the correction of way and to stop the retrogression of our nation and people and to create the practical tools to defend its existence and rights.It will be the first practical and serious step for the Arabs and Muslims in Europe to work for the following titles:
a) Strengthening the Arab Islamic presence in Europe, unifying its institutions and securing its rights
b) Supporting the resistance movement against the aggression and occupation in Palestine and Iraq, and supporting the steadfastness of the people who is enduring all kinds of oppression and chicanery and torture under the policy of the iron Faust, and who is struggling for its freedom and sovereignty on all the Arab and Islamic countries.
c) Installing a worthy and fair popular Arab Islamic European dialogue to create a common platform of values and principles relying on the support of the right and on the resistance against oppression and injustice, aside the support of the world’s forwarding toward equality and peace between peoples.
d) Creating an Arab Islamic chain within the unified world’s front to oppose hegemony.
This language of resistance to oppression goes hand-in-hand with the language of jihad, as evidenced by the Muslims of Kabardino-Balkaria.

I read the attached link in the article and it sounds like nothing more than a statement of Islamic political aspirations against the non-muslim world. Sort of a muslim 'Mein Kampf'. 'Protocols of elders Mecca'?
Freedom of speech does not protect seditionist traitors who wish to impose their own world-wide hegemony under the guise of fighting for noble ideals. I, for one, would much rather endure an American hegemony than and muslim one! Too true. Many have commented that Islam is not a universal 'faith' but a vehichle for Arab supremacy. I believe, even the Koran puts the Muslim Arab above all other Muslims. This makes Islam an Arab supremacist ideology, in much the same fashion as Nazism is an Aryan Supremacist ideology.

Arab Islamic could mean several things. It could mean that the conference will not welcome the secular apostate Turks who form a large minority community in Germany. It could also be a reference to the brand of Islam that existed in the early days of the now defunct Islamic empire, when the Arabs defined the culture, most notably the expansion of the empire by making war on its neighbors. 71 mosques in Berlin alone. The Rome Mosque, built scarcely a mile from the Vatican, on 7 acres of prime Rome real estate, given by the Italian government, pushed by Pertini and some in the Vatican itself, who thought such a generous gesture might, just might, be reciprocated by allowing churches to be built or repaired in Arab countries. The monotheist Christian or Jew has nothing to fear from the polytheist Hindu, but everything to fear from his "fellow monotheist" who has appropriated, and respects only his own, Muslim versions of, all the respected figures in Christianity and Judaism. This is not respect, but deliberate seizure of the important figures in prior religions -- the better to make Islam palatable to the Christians and Jews of the lands first conquered by the forces of Islam.
Above all, minarets are very important to Muslims as a sign of their power; they are deliberately made higher than any surrounding houses of worship belonging to Christians, Jews, or other faiths. That is why it is so important to deny the minarets, to force the architecture of mosques to fit in and not to impose their imposing and deliberately dominating aspect. The new Turkish-financed mosque in Berlin has minarets that are 8-9 feet higher than they were supposed to be; this was done deliberately -- the height codes were simply ignored, and as the builders predicted, the payment of a relatively small fine, 80,000 Euros on a building costing 2 million Euros, left them with these minarets thrusting above the neighboring skyline. This has to be prevented; it is of a significance that non-Muslims simply do not understand.
The "minarets are our missiles" said Erdogan. He was right. A little surface-to-air anti-missile defense is called for; the peoples of Europe really must inform themselves about Islam before they continue on their mad and suicidal policy of appeasement. It is they who will suffer most, they and their children -- America, for now, is relatively safe, and American Infidels will draw all the appropriate conclusions from what happens to both Israel, and to the Western Europeans. Fools we may have been, but fools we do not remain. The powers of recuperation here, and of common sense, are far stronger than in Europe. Why is a fascinating question.

if you google "john paul" and "islam" together, you will come up with several speeches and news stories that demonstrate the pope is taking the very tact. searching for "islam" on the vaticans website will also yield results.
indeed, it looks like john paul 2 is attempting to build some sort of religion coalition. he has embarked on projects to turn islam and the eastern orthodox church into client religions of catholicism. he speaks about "dialogue in the extreme" regarding catholic/islamic relations.
i might also point out that john paul 2's approach to islam has harsh critics in the catholic hierarchy -- though the criticism is muted due to the tradition of considering the pope above reproach.
