This "press release," if that is really what it is (I hope it's a hoax, actually), sounds like a high schooler's term paper: it has the requisite flatfooted opener ("Religion is a powerful subject") and po-faced repetition of basic information about Islam ("Last but not least in the five pillars is the pilgrimage. It's called Al-Hajj and encompasses a trek to Mecca in Saudi Arabia at least once in a persons lifetime"). But despite its title and last paragraph, it hints at the truth in this sentence: "Jihad, meaning struggle in Arabic, is allowed when fighting for religion and in self-defense..." In other words, it isn't only for self-defense, but may be offensive when "fighting for religion" -- as the South African Mufti Ebrahim Desai reiterates here. (Thanks to Russell for the link.)

The Canadian story of a Hate-crime at Ryerson U. just may be another hoax by Muslim students
stiring up hatred for Jews. The editor of a local newspaper forced Muslims to show their cards,CAIR has demanded the Government look into the vandalism and bring those responsible before the Law. The editoral insisted this act of hatred had no place in Canada and charges should include a jail sentence level of promoting hatred,this means if the hoax is a Muslim stunt this will be dealt with as a hate-crime and not he usual "palestinian victim" syndrome that made Muslims do it.

OK, look, do NOT make the mistake of taking this "press release" to be the sentiments of the whole United States Marine Corps. This is just another example of the shackles that are placed upon our military & the politicization of the war. This was put out by a public affairs officer whose job is to liaison with the local community to ease ever-present tensions. Notice the release came from MCAS Miramar, not from the Commandant of the Marine Corps. This statement would have just been part of a local skirmish in the neverending war on the homefront. Miramar is an Air Station just outside of San Diego on some prime coastal real estate & there is always friction from various groups that each have their own agendas, the common thread being that they feel their agendas would be furthered by the closing of a military base. Some of these groups nefariously try to twist the Marines' long, distinguished history of success on the battlefield & try & paint them as heartless, bloodthirsty,psychotic baby-killers rather than as the honorable warriors they are. Believe me, the Marines who are fighting to make the world free & safe are not buying into this whole "islam is a religion of peace" bullshat. They know who the enemy is. They also know that there are many innocent people caught in the middle who would love to have a chance at a real life, a real future for their kids and the Marines do all in their power to avoid collateral casualties. What the politicians need to realize is that if they would just unchain the Marines & allow them to do their job unhindered then a whole lot less people would have to die & the fighting could be brought to a successful conclusion much more quickly. The Marines know that it would have been better to just take out al-sadr & his thugs & the scum in fallujah & then help the people who want to make a change for the better, but unfortunately, the politicians won't allow it.
Again, the Marines know who the enemy is. The Marine Corps' mission is to locate, close with & DESTROY the enemy through fire & maneuver. They have accomplished the first 2 parts, the politicians are holding them back from fulfilling part 3.

Muslims do not believe that Allah is the same God
as that of hindus or buddhists (people not of the book.) Majority of muslims openly say that.
That makes the paper factually inaccurate. Also,
the report does not quote any scientific survey.
They do believe in the God of Christian and Jews but muslims believe that Christian and Jews are misguided and have incomplete information.

Why is the US Army insulting Sikhs with this rubbish. The Sikh Guru Nanak explicitly stated he was `NOT muslim`.
In fact, the bloody Kaaba was `moved` by Guru Nanak signalling the begining of the end of Islam.
The Pentagon should look into this. Sikhs hate to be called a `branch` of muslims. Don`t insult Sikhs especially when the Prime Minister of india is a Sikh.
