Q: What is the Masnoon (Sunnat) way to trim nails and on which days nails should not be trimmed?
A: The Masnoon (Sunnat) way of trimming nails is to start trimming nails from the index finger (Shahadat) of the right hand and work your way down to pinkie finger. Then proceed to the left hand starting from pinkie finger and finishing up at thumb. Finally the thumb of right hand should be trimmed. There is no sequence has been mentioned for feet nail trimming though it is better to use the same sequence used to do Khalal of feet (Start from the pinkie of right foot and finish it up at the thumb, then start from the thumb of left foot towards pinkie). Same is mentioned in Bahare Shariat (part 16, page 196) and Fatawae Alamgeri (part 5, page 358), *1. There is no prohibition regarding the days to avoid trimming nails. Whichever day the nails are trimmed on is Masnoon because there is no proven Hadis about prescribed days. But in some Zaeef (weak) Ahadees Wednesday is prohibited for trimming nails. Therefore if Wednesday is the day of Wajoob (Wajib to perform nail trimming). For example if a person has not trimmed nails for 39 days and 40th day is on Wednesday and if he/she does not trim nails on Wednesday than 40 days would be completed. Then it will be Wajib on him/her to trim nails on Wednesday because it is prohibited and Makrooh-e-Tehreemi to exceed 40 days without trimming nails.

A: Hozoor Muftee-e-Azam Hind Aleh Rehma-tu-Rizwan writes that to wear a tie is definitely Haram and is a resemblance of Kafir. It is a bad deed and an open disobedience of ALLAH Tala Wal Ikram. In Christianity, tie is a remembrance of their false belief of crucifixion of Hazrat Syedna Masih Alhe Salam and forgiveness for Christians. (Fatwa Mustafvia, on page 526) Therefore it is not allowed for Muslims to wear a tie neither during a wedding ceremony nor on any occasion. Do not send your children to schools where tie is a part of uniform code. Because wearing a tie is Haram and it is a must for Muslims to refrain him/herself from Haram and also protect his/her family from Haram.

It should be understood that in this worldly life, the body is subservient to the soul. If the soul is punished or given pleasure, then the body will follow suit. Ibn Qayyim [ra] writes that we have sent many examples of this kind in this world that a person sees himself eating in a dream and when he wakes up, finds the taste of food, etc. The effect first was on the ruh which then passed on to the body. It is very important to separate out these two things.
The Koran must not and cannot be reformed…this is the one true legacy of Allah, it cannot be touched, or changed, do you people think about changing or “reforming” the air that you breathe, don’t even think about it…don’t even dream it.
Now the cleric thing is different, I do believe that there is a problem here. Every Cleric imposes his own brand of Islam onto other (less learned) people and this is a problem…an example of this is Al-Sistani vs. Al-Sadr in Iraq at the moment…. they weaken Islam and make it look foolish.
The reform that is needed is that there needs to be setup two global religious committees (Sunni and Shia) that must have the last word on interpretation of the koran and clarifying (endorsing or simply rejecting) what some jumped up cleric says. All the really important fatwas etc, will be put forward by these committees.
The committees would encompass learned Islamic scholars from the world over, so that they are respected by Islam the world over.
Now I believe that these committees may take up to a generation to be accepted, they may have a very difficult time getting off the ground, but eventually they will learn that “there is no I in team”.
Here is where people, who are well respected (in your community at any rate) like Mr. Spencer should advocate these type of principles.

If something like this happened we'd take claims such as yours; that you see misinterpreters as a problem, seriously. But the only muslim protests we ever see are about trivial crap such as for muslim girls to be allowed to wear "proper attire" in school (sorry but you're the immigrants, you want to live in our countries you adapt to our way of life, NOT the other way around).
The fact that many of the jihadist willing to die as martyrs are upper-class muslims is a scary thought indeed. What does it say about islam in general?Well; I know people who are christians and hindus who are quite well off, but I seriously doubt they would die for their religion (nor does their religion require, nor expect them to). Further proof , yet again that islam is a dangerously brain-washing religion, it's sometimes hard to believe that these people are actually human. Do they not have a desire to have leisure and enjoyment in their lives, why do they feel the need to follow their religion so obsessively and without any deviation from their routine, they seem more robotic in their life-patterns than humans. Yet they can't see this, they are so set in their ways, and so convinced of their gods all-encompassing power , that they live in constant fear of him, and dare not change one slight thing in their lifestyles for fear of angering him. What a sad, terrible, primitive, babaric way-of-life, why they are so passionate about protecting this evil-cult I will never know, do they not have any normal human desire to be like the rest of humanity, to be free to live as they wish.
Maybe if they could understand the way people like me view islam, as a cult that makes it's followers little more than zombies with uber-miserable lives, in comparison to an exiting versatile, free life with limitless choices, like my own, then maybe they could see that we will never give up fighting for our rights to keep the lifestyles we love and would rather die than be forced to change. Actually, this is the kind of drek that comes from psychiatry/psychology linking up with sociological interpretations instead of philosophical interpretations. It is the marriage of psychiatry with thinking ala moral equivalence, where all societies are considered equal in status, nature and importance.
