WASHINGTON — Behind a façade of control, the ruling family of Saudi Arabia is in tough shape and teetering on the brink of collapse, a victim of its own corruption and a violent Islamic insurgency at its door, some U.S. experts warn."It is a pretty fragile royal family, it's pretty corrupt and it's sitting on some pretty weak legs," S. Enders Winbush, director of the Center for Future Security Strategies with the Hudson Institute, told FOXNews.com.
"The question is, can it do enough soon enough to put off what I suspect will be the inevitable — that at some point it will come apart," he said.
"Anyone who knows anything about the area knows it's not a question of ‘if,' but of ‘when,'" said Bill Lind, a military analyst with the Free Congress Foundation. "We need to delay it as much as possible … and think of what to do when it does happen."
Indeed. For it would be easy for an Osama clone to come to power there. Saudi Arabia has been an inconsistent ally at best, but that would make matters even worse.

Unfortunatly the alternative would be far worse. The House of Saud has had an ever increasing struggle with Wahhabist radicals, even though it is the official Islamic religion in Saudia Arabia. Many experts have said that the Wahhabist movement has pretty much hijacked Mecca. Islams most holiest city.
But at the same time ,the family has also supported and exported Wahhabist activities in Saudia Arabia as well as all over the world, including mosques and madrassis in the United states.
The foundation for fundamental Wahhabism has its origins going back over 200 years in Saudia Arabia. Wahhabism has been described by many as the "death cult" of Islam. The larger majority have been aware of it for decades and it has been the prime influence on radical islam and does not represent the ideology of over 90 percent of the umma.
Most Muslims believe that it is this "Death cult" that has to be understood and dealt with, for it is the primer of militant Islam.
What would happen if the Saudi regime collapsed? Would all 30,000 members of the royal family flee to Pakistan? Bangladesh? Egypt?
Of course not! They'd all wind up in Geneva, Paris, London, New York and L.A., enjoying the fleshpots of the West with their petrodollars.
If the Wahhabis take over, well...maybe they'd declare war on the West, in general, and the U.S. in particular. Maybe then we can bomb them? And take the oil fields?
Certainly not another American should have to die to keep the fork-tongue, backstabbing Saudis in power.
If we have to go to save their sorry *sses again, they better not have any "no Bibles, church services, etc." cr*p imposed on us again.
When the present Saudi government falls, we must secure the oil fields to keep them out of the hands of whatever comes to power there.
We have troops in Iraq, thinly spread, but airborne units, backed by overwhelming air power, should be able to secure and hold the oil production facilities.
No loveloss here,maybe the Saudis will get even by giving the men sex changes and slapping on a Burqa while cutting up their drivers license
so they can't even drive to the airport to leave.

American energy consumption has grown at twice the rate of its GDP since the oil crises of the 70s, yet you still import half your oil from the Middle East. Face it, Americans love oil. If you could, you'd bathe in it, spoon it over your cereal in the morning, throw it at weddings. Unfortunately, there is a limited supply of the stuff, so what you all will do in fifty years is beyond me. Think of it...what nature spent billions of years making, from the organic remains of every creature that has ever walked the earth, humanity will have exhausted in three centuries.

Of course I partake of the fruits of petroleum, as do all human beings. However, Americans constitute 5% of the world's population and consume a quarter of its energy. But, I suppose that my wearing clothes and typing on a computer is the real culprit.
Not that I expect the 5% of the world's population that contributes to half the world's waste to understand the difference between simply partaking of the natural bounty versus raping nature to satisfy your modern needs.
