Remember Denis MacShane? He was the British Foreign Office minister who told British Muslims that they must "must make a choice between the 'British way' of political dialogue and Islamic terrorism." For that he was roasted on both sides by the multiculturalist establishment and British Muslim leaders, who made him apologize several times. In one of them, he said: "I apologise to anyone who felt that I suggested that British Muslims sympathise with...terrorist actions."
So my question now is: can Denis MacShane get an apology from the people who put these leaflets in the mosque in Birmingham?
From icBirmingham, with thanks to Ali Dashti:
Hundreds of leaflets urging Muslims to become terrorist fighters have been distributed at a Midland mosque.Police have been called in to investigate after the flyers were found at Birmingham Central Mosque last week.
The leaflets urge worshippers to become Mujahideen fighters and ask them to 'pray for death and decay to be visited upon the West'.
The literature bears the name of a group called Ahle Sunnah Wal Jamah, which mosque officials say is often used as an alias for the Al Muhajiroun group.
Al Muhajiroun, a small radical organisation which has called for a British Islamic state, has been accused of inciting terrorism, anti-Semitism and homophobia.
Mosque chairman Dr Mohammed Naseem warned that the leaflets could act as a recruitment aid for would-be terrorists.
"It is very worrying," he said. "These leaflets appear to be encouraging Muslims to become Mujahideen fighters.
"This sort of thing getting into the wrong hands is very dangerous.
"They are the views of a minority of people but young, impressionable Muslims may read this and think they should be doing these things.
"I shall be showing the leaflets to our community policeman and asking him for advice."
That's great. I'm glad he is going to do that. But he should also be initiating an aggressive program to refute Al-Muhajiroun's reasons why Muslims should wage jihad against the West. Go to that group's website, and their material is full of quotes from the Qur'an and Islamic authorities. Until moderate Muslims respond to this sort of thing, jihad violence will not end. But of course in this they face an uphill battle, for the texts are not on their side.
Just imagine if the leaflets had been handed out in a church calling for fighters to stop abortions.
Even if the pastor AND the congregation vehemently stated they were against this type of activity, the media would be covering this story with wall-to-wall reporting and commentary. But since it was in a mosque and muslims were involved...
No, Denis MacShane will have to hold his breath and wait for such an apology. Perhaps he should apologise again, just to keep in practice.
Would it come as a shock to you to see the British politicians tripping over one another, like Key Stone Cops, to form a queue so that they apologise for finding these leaflets?
Or for that matter, having the insensitivity of raiding the Mosque in the first place?
Okay, I am being a bit "flip," and maybe the old "knickers are in a twist" this morning, but I wouldn't give a half-pint of spit for the collective resolve of the British Foreign Office to rid England of these terrorists once and for all!
Listen carefully...hear it? It's their English knees knocking in anticipation of charges of racism and hate crimes from Brussels!
If Denis MacShane holds his breath until an apology is forthcoming, he will turn blue.
If I’d distribute leaflets in synagogues, or churches calling for fighters to go on crusades against the Muslims, I think I’d have to go to jail for a while.
The leaflets found in mosques should be distributed widely to show the hypocrisy of British Muslims. Then the famous anti-hate law should applied.
Don't wait for an apology as Islam doesn't apologize. Their antinomianismal belief that they are correct in all their behaviors regardless of the effect on non-Muslim populations is too strong. They must always be right and we must always be wrong. Period, end of discussion.
What's the use of a fake apology?
"We apologize for being so indiscreet as to let our secret jihad leaflets float up. This will never happen again, we'll be more cautious."
The effective solution would be the jailing of this other 'preacher' who started the whole thing in Birmingham and feeding him with pork all the way.
The most effective solution is deportation. Deportation from the Wst back to dar al Islam, is the worst thing that can befall a Muslim. Why else would Muslims detained in Belmarsh prison, prefer to stay in prison, rather then leave for an Islamic country that will have them?
Oh yeah. Prison in the West is far preferable to living in dar al Islam.
The doors of this mosque should be boarded shut, although this will never happen in politically correct "socialist" England.
Time to use a li'l bit of subversion against the grandmasters of the game, eh? How 'bout infiltrating the jihadi fortress and calling for all true muslims to leave the west? Its dirty, immoral and corrupted, ain't it? So what are Allah's children doing admist such obscenity?
Aaah, but I guess inconsistencies of logic are about the only consistent thing in Islam. ANy infiltrator into the islamic clergy would be exposed by his (its never a 'her', eh?) almost instinctive adherence to the rules of logic, fairplay and consistency, I guess.
May the explicit clash of civilizations happen sooner, so that less will be lost than if it should happen later!
This was actually on Al Margarine's website several days ago: Margarine Muhjadeen loudly denying claims from Birmingham Central Mosque that leaflets were planted there by Al Muhajiroun
fanatics. On same website there is now rally for
remembering 9/11 [described as a magnificent defeat for America] in September 2004 where presumably they will gloat over videos. There is a
nasty little flashing picture showing destruction of twin towers. As Rikki says, Al Margarine is under police surveillance but reckon this lot of Jihad bastards should be deported. At once!
