This Muslim News editorial (thanks to Ali Dashti) retails various threats that Muslims perceive that they face in Britain, and praises Home Secretary David Blunkett's proposal to outlaw religious hatred. But most telling is the conclusion of the piece, which assumes that assimilation is the enemy:
When announcing that the incitement to religious hatred would be tackled, Blunkett notably said it was only a "tiny part of a much broader pattern" being put to create a society where cohesion tolerance and understanding are natural. He said he wanted to have "pride" in Britain's diversity and admitted that successive governments had not done enough in the past. But a central concern remains over attempts to redefine the Government's multicultural policy as 'diversity with integration' which smacks of being more about assimilation than defending individual rights and differences.
How far must we go in defending individual rights and differences? Do Muslims in Britain have an individual right to the Sharia? How will its oppression of non-Muslims fit in with British multiculturalism? It is ironic that, if radical Muslims like Omar Bakri ever get their wish and gain hegemony in Britain, we will see the swift demise of the multiculturalist policies that allowed him and those like him to operate freely for so long in the UK.
One question remains unanswered.
How are we going to track and halt the spread of religious hatred in its hotbeds - the mosques?
Does Mr Blunkett have anything to say about that?
Quite simple-padlock the Mosques-that or since they're a public facility-cameras and microphones would be appropriate.
A belief-system that claims a right to "dominate and not to be dominated," that insists that Islam must cover the globe and that all obstacles to this must be regarded as "oppression" against which all the instruments of JIhad can be legitimately used -- for a war to remove those "obstacles" is, in the lexicon of Islam -- a "defensive" war -- now wishes to be put above all criticism within the countries that are the intended targets of conquest, through conversion, subversion, and all other useful means.
If Blunkett's bill were to pass, then one would no doubt have to remove all the works by scholars who have criticized Islam over the centuries -- those silent reproaches to the apologists now ensconced in places like St. Antony's College, Oxford (the English center for Muslim apologetics and "Middle Eastern" -- i.e. "consruction-of-Palestinian-identity" studies). No Richard Bell. No Muir. No Henri Lammens. No Noldeke. No Snouck Hurgronje. No Tor Andrae. No Blachere. No Bosworth. No Margoliouth, no Schacht. No E. G. Browne. No A. K. S. Lambton. No Kedourie, Vatikiotis, J. B. Kelly. No Vahakn Dadrian. No Speros Vakolopoulos. No K. S. Lal. No Koenraad Elst. No Bat Ye'or.
No Renan. No Burckhardt. No Schumpeter. No Henri Pirenne. No Bertrand Russell. No Dante. No Shakespeare. No Dickens. No Montaigne. No Voltaire. No Diderot. No Pushkin. No Tolstoy. No John Stuart Mill. No Carlyle. No Tocqueville. No Churchill. No Naipaul.
And, of course, no ex-Muslims: no Ibn Warraq, no Ali Sina, no Ibn Rawandi, no Anwar Shaikh, no Irfan Khawaja, no Azam Kamguian. No Walid Shoebat. No Nonie Darwish. Not one of the thousands of highly articulate people born, through no fault of their own, into Islam, and having found their way out, all on their own, out -- Bangalee or Persian or Pakistani or even Arab-- dare to write about it. No one who contributed to the volume "Leaving Islam." No one who appears at www.secularislam.org or www.faithfreedom.org or a thousand other websites of ex-Muslims.
No scholars of early Islam whose works might demoralize the Faithful: no Wansbrough, no Luxenberg, no Nevo, no Puin, no Patricia Crone, no cautious suaviter-in-modo Michael Cook. No geopoliticians: no Adda Bozeman, no Samuel Huntington, no Jean-Paul Charnay, no Alexandre del Valle. No ringers of alarm bells: no Magdi Allam, no Anne-Marie Delcambre, no Alain Finkielkraut, no Per Ahlmark, no posthumous publications of Pim Fortuyn. Not even those demi-semi-hemi quasi-sideways apologists who have the curious habit of sometimes writing, at least privately, what they know perfectly well to be true, and cannot quite bear to say it openly.

Mr.Blunkett lives in a nice little castle somewhere in the countryside no doubt, far away from the hustle and bustle of city-life, sat in his ivory tower he can hardly make a fair judgement of the working to middle class peoples lives.We are just statistics to him and his cabinet.Maybe he should actually take some time out to actually see exactly how great his perfect little multi-cultural experiment is doing. For starters all the different races in the cities are put together with their own (exept some poverty stricken areas where the "scum" of all british society are all lumped together regardless of race) which to me seems to pretty much defeat the object of multi-culturalism.
The 3 main racial groups in the UK are Whites (anglos and celtics), Blacks ( the majority are of afro-carribean or african decent, but I am informed that a significant number are decendants of slaves) and Asians/middle easterners ( Muslims, hindus, sikhs are the largest number among these minorities).
Now as I have stated before the middle to upper-class ( and even some working class areas have a noticable cultural mix)circle mingles together the rich ones among every race, whereas all the lower classes of people are segregated into their own cultural groups , which from the outset creates tension,xenaphobia and hatred between these groups for all kind of reasons (to numerous to mention).
The muslims areas are no-go areas for whites as are the afro-carribean areas (most of these are in the more poverty stricken areas and have a low-class muslim population amongst them), and inner-city areas are just becoming more and more split, and more than any other race it is the whites who are being discrimminated against and whom the hatred is directed at.
Aside from this the gap between rich and poor is becoming ever more noticeable, and muslims at the bottom end of society (and afro-carribeans, who I might add perpertrate the vast majority of UK gun-crimes, esp.black on black shootings/drug dealer shoot-outs) see the upper-class as being exclusively white, but take their distaste for them out on the lower-class whites.I have nothing against any other race as I have stated before , but I'm a firm believer that multi-cutural societies do not , and never will work.
If this is Blunketts idea of a tolerant multi-cultural society, then he can stuff it up his PC bum-hole.
We never asked for a multi-cultural society, we just had it dropped on us, and we are the ones losing out because of it. And now we share our cities with people who hate us or have no respect, plot terrrorism or condone it, and expect real-brits to avoid areas where they have more right to be than anyone else.
Doubt if this Bill will ever be passed. Also who is INCITING Religious Hatred, why, it is MUSLIMS!

Most of the koran and the hadith preach "religious hatred". In fact, I don't know if Islam would even be able to be remain being called a "religion". It's not possible to remove a few offensive surahs from the Koran or a few offensive hadiths. There would be no pages left between the Koran's covers.
Maybe David Blunket will wake up one of these days and actually READ what Islam teaches, and realize what "religious hatred" really means.

I don't know why no-one has taken the Imam's to task in Canada for their "religious hatred" they preach in Mosks. Clearly Islam's koran violates the intent of the law in 90% of it's surahs and hadith. Hopefully some day someone will take it to the supreme court.
Maybe when the Muslims start preaching to kill all the fags it will come to light.
They expelled a german guy from Canada for saying there was no Holocaust, yet muslims get away with all the racist remarks against Jews (like them being the sons of monkeys and pigs) in their unholy koran. Maybe a national letter of protest needs to be taken up to pring the issue to the forefront.
