what else can they do. A Muslim that had dual citizenship with Canada and Syria went globe-trotting and when landing in N.Y. to connect a flight back to Canada he was pulled aside and then deported to his Country of origin which was Syria.

A better solution would be for the Canadians to pull their collective heads out of their asses & deport all of the muslims & then seal their borders while maintaining the relatively free flow between our countries. Unfortunately, I don't think that the Canadian government is anywhere near confronting the problem so I'm afraid we should shut down the border until the Canadian people do a gut check & eliminate the problem. They've got to recapture that tough, pioneering spirit of their ancestors & stop with the suicidal pc appeasement approach. The difference between the security entering the US and entering Canada is glaringly obvious. Upon entering the US each adult in the car must produce photo ID and proof of citizenship, names are then ran through the system, cars and trunks are regularly searched, there are dogs and radiation detectors....upon entering Canada I am asked my citizenship, which I respond United States, I am then ASKED what my status in Canada is, I have not one time been asked to prove I am landed, no one has ever asked for our ID and our vehicle has never been searched...perhaps it is because we are white, but we cant rely on that to say we are not islamic terrorists. After clearing the tolls on the US side there are US border guards set up and they are looking at the passengers in each vehicle BEFORE it crosses to Canadian immigration inspection...just looking, they dont even speak to you, therefore it is obvious that they are looking for a certain type of person...nice to see profiling in action, hopefully that will deter a few.
I was returning from Buffalo and crossing at Niagara Falls N.Y. and because I was clean looking and my car was a sedan with a large trunk,the Customs worker didn't believe a person would actually cross the border for half a day and
return without trying to smuggle something.
I live near the border and it seemed normal to me,but I was handed a paper slip and told to park near a office and someone will see you for a inspection.
Well 15 minutes later I went inside and still nobody seemed to ask questions or notice the slip in my hand. Five minutes later I walked out and sat in my car for a few minutes,so I started the car and drove off with not one phone call or letter to come later even though my plate was entered in the system.
