It seems to have been a genuine murder, bot not of a CIA agent. From AFP:
A United States official has denied that a CIA agent had been beheaded in Iraq, as claimed by an Islamist web site that broadcast a video purporting to show the decapitation."The man depicted in the video is not a CIA official," the official told AFP, on condition of anonymity.
"No CIA official is missing," the official said, adding that the Central Intelligence Agency knew the whereabouts of all its agents.
On Wednesday, an Islamist web site showed a videotape which it said was of a US national and CIA agent being beheaded by members of a Islamic militant group in Iraq.
In the poor-quality video, whose authenticity could not be verified, a young Western-looking man is seated on a chair surrounded by five hooded gunmen, one of whom beheads the man using a long knife....
But the gunmen's words are unintelligible, apart from their cry of "Allah Akbar" (God is great) after the decapitation.
Most probably some Infidel whose life wasn't worth their Allah's mercy...expendable for their cause.....after all whats an Infidel dog worth?
Oh, dont you just Love the "Allahu Akbar" the disclaimer for every vile evil deed they are about to commit.
but this is a religion of "Peace"....yeah they want peace....they want a piece of everyone.
For every single one that these a-holes decapitate we should cut the "twig & berries" off five of them with a rusty butter-knife dipped in pig's blood.

Alas, we aren't allowed to do this, not considered
PC correct. However, believe Northern Alliance do give captured Taleban a dose of purgatory before dispatching 'em to Allah and Paradise.
Slightly off-topic, but....
In addition to continued Iranian breaches and obfuscations in Tehran’s quest for nukes, harsh, urban combat heats up again in the Shi’a Holy City of Najaf, southern Iraq. An Iraqi Interim Government Minister claimed yesterday that there are arms and men from IRAN joining the Ayatollah Muqtada el-Sadr’s gunmen there (and in other cities in the south and centre of Iraq).
Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi Shi’ite exiles from Saddam’s Iraq, sheltering for decades in Iran, have returned, accompanied by battalions of armed fighters of the Tehran-backed SCIRI (the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq - which isn’t supporting el-Sadr’s rebellion, at this stage) - but the particular militias that the Iraqi official was alluding to are reputed to be personnel - volunteers - from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard (Pasdaran).
Iran’s been individually supporting virtually ALL of the Shi’ite groupings in Iraq, since even before the Coalition’s intervention and ouster of the Dictator - always preferring a weak Iraq to its west, one over which, in the future, it can enjoy considerable sway.
With the forces of the "Great Satan", America, in Iraq, in Afghanistan on its east, influential in Uzbekistan to the north and based in Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait in the south, Iran’s surrounded.
It’s accelerating its intermediate-range missile program (testing its improved "Shahab-3" rocket, sporting a new, Chinese guidance-system, at mid week) and spurring its clandestine development of atomic weapons (with accusations of a degree of "freelance", mainly Russian, assistance).
However, Tehran’s pursuit of nukes ISN’T a recent phenomenon. It kicked off in earnest in 1980, when Saddam invaded Iran, but had been in its preliminaries for the previous year anyway, once it became more than likely that Iran would soon, ineluctably, find itself square in the middle of a "nuclear neighbourhood" - Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Iraq and Israel, all encircling it.
Iran maintains warm relations with the first four countries, and Iraq’s dreams of nukes are GONE. Re Israel, in November 2002, the President of the Grand Council of Islamic Guidance, now the Head of the supreme, ruling, "Expediency Council", former PM Ayatollah Ali-Akbar Rafsanjani, promulgated that the minute an Iranian atomic payload’s assembled, it should be fired straight at Israel, on the "rationale" that it’d wipe out the Jewish State, while any retaliation which Israel could mount would damage - but not destroy - the dar el-Islam.
(Though plausible if Israel were to spread its approximately 200 nukes round the region, if it was to rain them all down on exclusively Iran, Iran’d be effectively FLATTENED, FOREVER.)
With the Soviet Union having totally dropped off, Iraq transposed to an "Active" file and China, North Korea and Cuba temporarily "demoted" (at differing rates), Iran would be the OLDEST item on the USA’s "Unfinished Business" agenda, specially with its Grand Council’s long record of fostering international terrorism, facilitation of Syria’s transit of Jihadis into Iraq, violations of nuclear non-proliferation accords and on top, of late, suspected harbouring of el-Qaeda elements.
Hostilities between Iran and the US date to 1979, flaring up intermittently. Through the decades, there’ve been the protracted hostage tensions in Tehran and Beirut, the attacks on US diplomatic and military interests in Lebanon, connivance in more such in Saudi Arabia, naval clashes in the Persian Gulf and skirmishes in Bosnia with "irregular" detachments of Pasdaran.
In the end, it’s far from complicated. Iran’s Fate vitally depends upon what transpires there first - either a drastic, general and irrevocable change in its core policies, towards peace, democracy, prosperity and LIFE, or else the Ayatollahs attain their thermo-nuclear warheads (the initial one due in a year or so), launch them in an offensive and are repaid with horrible MEGADEATHS.
If Iran insists on provoking the US in Iraq, as allegedly in Najaf today, the time in which any improvement in Iran’s ultimate chances can take place risks being RADICALLY REDUCED.
